Topping the Carrera model range for the 997.2 generation, the GTS features a specially-tuned 3.8-liter flat-six engine as well as widened bodywork, 19” center-locking wheels, and the Sport Exhaust System. Finished in Black over a matching full leather, this 2012 example is equipped with a 7-speed Porsche DoppelKupplung (PDK) transmission, Sport Suspension, a limited-slip rear differential, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose Surround Sound System, and more. It has also been upgraded with a Sharkwekrs center muffler bypass and stiffer Function First drivetrain mounts. This 997.2 is now being offered for auction by its second owner out of California showing just over 97k miles on the odometer.
The GTS model shares its widened fenders with the Carrera 4 and rides on black-painted 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels borrowed from the 911 Turbo S. Finished in Black, this 2012 example features optional “GTS” side model designations in Silver along with Exclusive clear taillights. The seller states that the car was caught in a sandstorm in April of 2017, as noted on the CARFAX report, and was subsequently repainted apart from the rear decklid and bumper. Additionally, XPEL paint protection film has been applied to the front end, mirrors, and stone guards. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires showing date codes from 2019. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, this GTS is upholstered in Black full leather and features heated Adaptive Sport Seats, the Bose Surround Sound System, a SiriusXM Satellite Radio tuner, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bi-Xenon headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), auto-dimming mirrors, and ParkAssist System (rear). The seller has reportedly fitted an NM Automotive reversing camera, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a hardwired radar detector, Maxspeed front seatbelts, Stabilus front trunk struts, a leather center console, “911” mats, and WeatherTech all-season mats. The seller also notes some wear is present on the front seat bolsters.
This Carrera GTS is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six that sends up to 408 HP and 310 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 7-speed Porsche DoppelKupplung (PDK) transmission and an optional limited-slip differential. The Sport Exhaust System comes standard and this car is additionally optioned with Sport Suspension including a 20mm lowered ride height. The seller reports to have replaced the front brake pads and rotors at 52,700 miles and had the 120k-mile PDK interval service completed at 62k miles. The seller states to have modified this car with a Sharkwerks center muffler bypass, Function First PDK mounts (60A Orange), and Function First Motor Mounts V2.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, an air pump, a car cover, an OEM battery tender, some documentation, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I have owned this car for over 9 years moving from 996 GT3 6-speed to this 997 GTS PDK only because of an injury that made a PDK necessary. It has been a joy to drive and to look at. I have put 56k wonderful miles on it with much enjoyable canyon-carving (no track time), and long-distance travel. The auction winner will have a great driving car!”

@rjknmor Intermediate maintenance at 100k miles per the Porsche checklist. Oil change isn't needed until May or at that 100k mile mark per my usual practice. I posted my personal service log in the gallery.
@rjknmor Disregard on the wheel tool. Now that I’m looking on a bigger screen i saw it there.
Does this come with the tool for the wheels, and are there any current or near future maintenance needs on the car?
Thanks. Yes, it's a driver as they're designed to be. But I've maintained it well.
These are very nice looking and I think a sweet spot for a nice 911 that is not so track focused like the GT3 cars but plenty fast and capable to keep up with the best if you know how to drive. Good luck with the sale !

I posted pics of the tow hook cover, the OEM black seatbelts, and of Raby's Fastening Specs for the 997. Even though that last could be useful to me, it will be much more useful to the auction winner.
@andrew7049lee As expected, I do have the tow hook cover.
@andrew7049lee You mean the tow hook plug? I'm sure I do as I have all the OEM parts that can be reinstalled. But ill have to look for it. Stay tuned.
Do you have the front bumper plug?
@Itcjmramos thank you.

Awesome. Thank you.
@BUDNIK18 Underside shots posted.
@BUDNIK18 I can post those later today.
Interesting you didn’t take advantage of your friends lift to take pics of the undercarriage. Personally I’d like to see pics of the maintenance receipts PRIOR to even bidding let alone winning the auction.
GLWTA.
@BUDNIK18 the winner will get a binder with receipts for services and parts.
Yes, receipts for services and parts. As noted, much of the basic services, e.g., oil changes, were DIY. A good friend has a two post lift, which he kindly shares.
Do you have any maintenance receipts from your years as an owner?
Bid in the amount of $10,000
None of the second incident. And just paint prep of the first.
It’s a beautiful car. Do you have any pictures of the damage and or repair work.
Sorry for the oversight. Thanks for the reminder. Repair order to be uploaded. On a drive, came around a curve into a just-happening small rockslide. Could not avoid it. Damaged the rocker panel and lower part of the qtr panel in front of the right rear wheel. Repaired by same shop that had done the respray.
Can you talk about the body repair done due to landslide on 3/19/2019.
Thank you.
I'll have them uploaded shortly.
Receipt for the repaint job?
