The ultimate version of the 997.2 Carrera, the GTS model includes a more powerful 3.8-liter engine as well as center-lock wheels, Alcantara upholstery, the Sport Exhaust System, and wider fenders. Out of all of the 997.2 Carreras produced, only 311 of them in North America were reportedly configured as 6-speed rear-wheel-drive GTS Coupes. This 2012 example comes finished in Carrara White and features a 6-speed manual transmission as well as an optional limited-slip rear differential lock, Sport Chrono Package Plus, BOSE Surround Sound System, and PASM Sport Chassis (20mm lower). The interior is covered in Alcantara and black leather and has been special ordered through Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur program with extensive black-painted trim pieces eliminating all standard silver parts.
This 997.2 remained with the original owner for over 8 years before changing hands with another Porsche enthusiast and eventually being acquired by the current owner in April 2021. Supported by a lifetime of documented dealer maintenance, this one-of-a-kind Carrera GTS is now being offered for auction out of Canada showing 157k kilometers or 97k miles on the odometer. The current owner states that the bulk of the mileage was put on during its first 8 years of ownership when it was used primarily as a daily highway commuter vehicle between Kitchener and London Ontario (approx 100km each way).
The GTS shares its widened fenders with the Carrera 4 and rides on black-painted 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels borrowed from the 911 Turbo S. This example is finished in Carrara White and features optional clear glass taillights. The seller adds that the car has always been stored indoors and never driven in the snow or subjected to the racetrack. A full paint correction was recently completed after a layer of old clear paint protection film was removed from the hood, front bumper, and fenders. Removable Pegasus decals have been placed on the fenders and some very minimal signs of wear are noted on the lower front bumper and rear left bump stop. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black leather and Alcantara GTS interior features a list of factory Exclusive Manufaktur optioned high-gloss black trim pieces. Everything from the door openers, door finishers, switch panel, dashboard trim strip, and gear lever trim have all been specially ordered. Other GTS Interior options include an Alcantara Sport Steering wheel, Sport Shifter, Alcantara roof liner, and an Exclusive optioned storage bin lid finished in Alcantara with the Porsche logo. Other notable options include the BOSE Surround Sound System, Extended Navigation Module, heated seats, and automatically dimming mirrors. The dashboard-mounted stopwatch dial is also included as part of the Sport Chrono Package Plus.
This GTS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine rated at 408 HP due to the factory addition of the X51 Powerkit, an increase of 23 HP over the standard Carrera S. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transaxle and an optional limit slip rear differential Lock. Stopping power comes from the Red-painted four-piston calipers over cross-drilled and vented rotors. The GTS comes standard with the Sport Exhaust System. The exhaust's note is able to be amplified via a button on the dash to get a more aggressive sound. This example also features an optional PASM Sport Chassis which lowers the ride height by 20mm using an active dampening suspension system that can also be adjusted via a dashboard switch. New Pirelli P Zero rear tires were mounted within the last 2500 kilometers and the front tires are said to still be still like new.
The seller states that all service has only been carried out by an Official Porsche dealer under warranty. The car recently had a major service that was required in order re-CPO the car for an additional 1-year (or to 200k kilometers) of full warranty coverage worldwide. The car is currently being stored at the same dealer throughout the auction allowing any interested parties to have it inspected on their own accord at their own expense. The winning bidder can also choose to extend the warranty directly with the same dealer prior to taking delivery for an additional 2 years should they want to at their own expense.
This sale will include a clean title and the original owner's manuals and accessories.

ok guy thanks for the interest. we will try this again in the spring.
Alright everyone, we are down to the last 20 mins. Heavy mixed emotions right now. This car is pretty much perfection. i'd love to say i am happy to let it go, but that is far from the truth! i love this car and will miss her immensely. i can only hope the new owner treats her a fraction of as well as i have babied this car. If i put a sticker over the mileage and you took the car for a drive there is no way you would know it had 97k on the clock. Car is tight, immaculate and beyond a pleasure to drive. What a car. good luck to the winning bidder!

@2mAn it sure is my dream car, and a true dream to drive as well. :)
@edgy4sure thanks! It was a special option from their exclusive manufacture program. I think it really makes the interior look timeless. I've never seen another GTS like it.
What a dream car...
never seen that high gloss black trim (doors) before, it's really nice! GLWA

@OEMPlus I recommend you or anyone else in u.s. use "border buddy" app or website to calculate everything. It's great.
Was getting nostalgic and already getting seperation anxiety so I uploaded some editorial shots that I like. To think this time tomorrow I might no longer have the best car that I've ever owned ? ?

@shannonandrichardbel the other difference is apparently is the mpf fee.... But all said and done anyone in the states that wants to purchase this will be subjected to approx 2.8% in import fees and whatever their registered importer charges them to do the paper work. That's it.
@PointElysian unfortunately not. Auction ends at 3 tomorrow and car is currently downstairs in their long term storage. I went by today and tried but not possible. I managed to snapped a couple more shots underneath that I added today to gallery . You are welcome to call the dealer tomorrow and speak to Sebastien the service director to ask any questions about the the car, but it isn't able to be moved at this time. Under the car is significantly clean as I had it thoroughly cleaned prior to going to dealer.

@shannonandrichardbel correct, but I was told that it ends up being about 2.8% not sure why.
@Globalcartizen since car is currently at the dealer lot/grounds, is it possible to get full POV undercarriage shots on their racks before auction end? Ty.
@shannonandrichardbel I have not, but I also have not had any indication of any issues or evidence that would warrant me having the engine taken apart to test it. If you're interested for confluence the DME report is attached and there have been no overrevs nor has it ever been tracked or driven aggressively. Hope that helps.
@Globalcartizen I believe you pay 2.5% duty.
@OEMPlus there is no issue as the car was originally sold in Canada. You can import it without issue doesn't have to be 25 years old.
Researching this logistics of importing this to the US.. does this car bypass the 25 year rule because it was also sold in the US during the same time? I am foreign to the process of importing a Canadian car and this rule was the first that came to mind.
Have you ever had the cylinders checked for bore scoring?

Hey guys,
I just stopped by the dealer to take some final photos as well as doing a cold start video. I uploaded the glovebox leather holder with all the original books and even the window sticker from the car is included in the sale. I have also taken some photos of underneath the vehicle as well as where it is currently resting in the dealer's basement.

@luis.seneriz I am at the dealer at the moment and can confirm the additional years will cost approx 2000$ CAD year, max 2 more years. You can extend before the car leaves the dealer or you can extend it anytime before it ends in November of 23' as long as you complete the yearly oil change at a dealer prior to extension. You can speak to Sebastien at Porsche Lauzon should you want any info directly.
@shannonandrichardbel if you are Canadian it is both taxes as a dealer is doing an accomodation for me. American bidders aren't subject to any taxes.
Is it HST or just PST?
CANADIAN BIDDERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
I had an interesting DM about taxes....and although this is a private sale/my personal car, anyone in Canada will be subjected to both taxes as a local dealer will be doing an accomodation for me on this sale. This does not apply to anyone outside of Canada.

@ScottFromIowa hey Scott! Love to hear that. I had no plans of selling it either. Apparently life had different plans for me. I have as much fun driving it as I do meticulously cleaning it everytime I'm done. If I had to guess I'd say that this car has some of the lowest impact high mileage out there lol. Straight line highway driving for most of its use time. Don't I wish I Iived in California or somewhere with canyons to enjoy it more.
I also own a 12 GTS Manual. I love the car and have no plans to ever sell. Mine is also in Carerra White. Great to see a high mileage example out in the wild. I have a fifth of that mileage. The car looks like it has been very well cared for! Good luck to winning bidder. You will love it!
@Havenhearth happy new year to you as well!
@Havenhearth car has never been registered in the u.s. this was a pandemic purchase for me during lockdown. Originally I was supposed to move to Miami for work with the car, but that has now changed to Japan which is the only reason I am selling it. The car has never seen a track, auto cross or anything close to that. :)
You mention working in the US.
Was this 911 ever registered in the United States?
And have you ever tracked, DE'd or autocross this vehicle?
Thanks in advance and Happy New Year,
David

Hey guys,
My apologies there was a miscommunication and I have asked for the listing to be updated the warranty was only able to be extended 3 years in total not 5. I have extended it for 1 out of the 3 years and will hopefully have an official quote/price for the additional extension tomorrow. Sincere apologies.
@luis.seneriz it seems there might have been a communication error with the dealer and I'm trying to confirm....the car might only be able to be extended 3 years in total. I am hoping to have an answer by end of day and will update the listing accordingly. However if you wanted to extend it a year or 2 more than it already was it would be approx 2000 CAD extra per year. I have requested an official quote and will add it to the gallery. There is the possibility that it is still 4 more, but I'm getting mixed answers and trying to get to the bottom of it. Sincere apologies, luckily we aren't at reserve should that effect your decision process.

@gshibayama yup I can verify yes. The warranty stays with the car not the purchaser and I made sure 100 percent that i was able to warranty the car in Miami where I was initially being relocated for work. :) Of course should anyone want to confirm and do their own due diligence I will connect them with the dealer for sure. Hope that helps :)
Question about Canadian CPO transfer to US Porsche dealers. My understanding is, new car warranty transfers but not Canadian CPO. Can you verify if Canadian CPO/Warranty transfers to US Porsche dealers?
@luis.seneriz I agree fully with getting a lot of value with the CPO program. It's been the smoothest dealer experiences I've ever had, and always with a great loaner vehicle. Unlike my Audis which are a total service/warranty disaster since Audi care took over.
@luis.seneriz send me a DM and I'll forward you the info, I can't DM you apparently.
@luis.seneriz sounds good, I'll DM you the info I have. I only have 3 years pricing in an email, but I was told it was possible to do 5 years. I will send through that and Inquire about the rest tomorrow.
I don’t want extra ppi I just want an estimate of the cost to get the extra 4 year warranty. My wife is on her third mercedes, the last two CPO. Excellent program and a lot for what you get. I’m not buying new high end European cars anymore. Thanks
@luis.seneriz i sure can. The Dealer is called Porsche Lauzon in montreal.
My service rep that knows the car well is still on vacation but i have reached out to the service manager to make sure he or someone will be available to answer any questions and do the PPI.
Can you provide me /us with the dealership info so we know what the extra 4 year warranty cost. I’ll make the call.
I figured worth noting....
The car's DME report is clean and has no over revs at all outside of range 3. 4,5,6 all read zero. The report is in the gallery.
Waiting patiently for the IMS questions ? ?
(A Little Porsche humour)
@luis.seneriz my kind of Porsche driver!
I have no doubt that this car can do Long Highway drives as it has spent most of its life on a highway. You would be able to drive the car back from Champlain New York which is 30 minutes from the Montreal border after the car cleared customs. I do not believe you would be able to drive it directly from Montreal without the car staying at the border while it is being processed. I can however put you in contact and arrange for brokerage and a super easy process should that interest you. In regards to the oil changes I would say your best bet is to look through the service records however in my own ownership the oil was changed after approximately 1500 km but I'd have to inquire.
The warranty extension for one year cost me approximately $3,500 CAD to have the car serviced before a 2500$ CAD 1 year extension. I would have to inquire but I believe if you wanted to extend the warranty for the entire 5 years it would be approx another $5,000 CAD. It's 5 years or 200,000 km on the clock.
Bid in the amount of $9,972
Great car and I don’t mind higher mileage cars. I like to drive my cars as a matter of fact the higher the mileage the better. You state that the cpo warranty is worldwide, so if I read correctly I can add another 4 years. Can you tell us what the cost of the add on warranty is?? My two current Porsches an early 99 and the 03 turbo both coupes 6 speed I flew and drove to Katy Texas. Both worked flawlessly no issues on a 1300 mile trip and a 1698 mile trip all non stop. Is that a possibility for me to be able to do that with this car, I just don’t know how involved is the process. A final question, do you know the oil consumption of this car between oil changes, thanks. Luis in Texas.

Hey Guys and Gals!
Happy New Year to you all!
While i never thought this day would come, it's time for me to sell my GTS.
Massive mixed emotions selling the car.
Absolutely love it and would love to keep it.
This car drives incredible and presents like one with a fraction of the mileage.
I have been in the car community long enough to know that high mileage cars are not for everyone. However, for those those that want a tight reliable driver, or a car that they can keep long term in their collection, this is a perfect example.
It has always had factory warranty, it has always been serviced by official dealerships, and the bulk of it's mileage was done commuting on a straight line highway (i have attached a photo of the daily drive this car used to do).
My biggest gripe with 997s are their silver trim in the interior, so when i saw this Exclusive Manufaktur optioned interior i saw past the mileage pretty fast. The interior of this car was exactly what i had always wished the interior of our 2 other 997s to be like.....no silver and in my opinion a less dated looking interior because of that.
Those that know me know that i have laughable OCD and maintain things meticulously. Any little sound or noise was always followed by a trip to the dealer. Every time i drove the car it was followed by it being cleaned and back to mint in it's indoor heated garage. In my own 2 years of ownership of this car never saw the rain once.
The only real strike or fault about this car is the mileage.....and only you can decide if the car is worth buying with it..... i made that choice myself when i bought it 2 year ago and am beyond happy. i bought the car with warranty so i knew i had peace of mind.....This car now has a fresh 1 year Porsche CPO Global Warranty, so you can enjoy much more peace of mind in regards to the mileage.
Because the car is still at the dealer after receiving a rigorous service in order to re-CPO the car, you can choose to further extend that warranty for another 4 years without the need to re-service it. . Currently the car is warrantied until the end of November 2023. This also means that if you want to have a PPI done you can call the Porsche dealer and they will do so at your own cost. Hopefully this eliminates any barriers to sale for interested parties that want confluence from an official party.
Any questions, please feel free to ask them, i'll do my best to answer them.
This is my first auction so go easy on me!
Happy bidding everyone!
