Representing the pinnacle of Porsche's 997.2 Carrera lineup, the GTS boasts wider bodywork derived from the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, center-lock wheels, a premium interior, the Sport Exhaust System, and a more powerfully tuned 3.8-liter engine. This 2012 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet is finished in Black over a matching leather interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission, the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, heated and ventilated seats, a navigation system, a Bose Surround Sound System, an aftermarket SharkWerks exhaust, and more. Showing just under 27k miles on the odometer, this GTS is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
The GTS model comes standard with black-finished 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels sourced from the 911 Turbo S. This 2012 example is finished in Black with a matching convertible top and features silver “Carrera GTS” side model designations. Additional equipment includes LED headlights, side skirts, red-painted brake calipers, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and quad exhaust tips. The seller notes that the front nose is wrapped in paint protection film, which may benefit from replacement. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with black leather upholstery and includes 12-way power-adjustable heated and ventilated seats. Additional features encompass the Sport Chrono Package Plus, a navigation module, adaptive cruise control, a Bose Surround Sound System, a HomeLink system, a SiriusXM Satellite Radio Tuner, and Bluetooth compatibility. The factory stereo has been replaced with an upgraded unit that includes a backup camera. A built-in visor-mounted Escort Radar Detector has also been fitted. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be functioning correctly, with no warning lights illuminated.
Power is derived from a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine, which delivers a factory-rated 408 HP and 310 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. With the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in approximately 4.6 seconds. An aftermarket SharkWerks exhaust system further enhances performance. The vehicle was certified by Porsche in February 2024 and remains under factory warranty until February 2026.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a factory stereo and exhaust system, and a clean title (lien).
The seller would like you to know: “The car itself is pristine, the free flow exhaust offers a deep gurgling sound that stimulates the ears, the six-speed manual transmission requires the driver to be fully engaged in the driving process when operating this car. The car gets attention when it is driven around town, definitely an eye catcher that performs! The car is quite beastly!”

@JoeBuck I’m traveling and will provide a close up shot of the front bumper around 9:30am CST Wednesday morning.
Bid in the amount of $68,250
Also in regard to the front bumper, are those paint chips around the headlights and near the middle? If so would it be possible to get close up photos of them?
@Pdkmac It was done at McKinney Porsche , I will upload proof shortly in meeting. Is there anything else you need?
Thanks for the new DME. Where was this done? Didn’t see any letterhead on that report. Thanks
Is the front bumper the original? The reasons why I ask is that a 997.2 4 GTS you should be able to see the front radiator through the middle opening. The 4s had a cover over that section not sure if you added that ?
Inspection Checklist photos have been uploaded to the attachment area of the listing.
@Pdkmac The after market was on when Porsche CPO the car and I will attempt to upload CPO certificate. I took a PCA drive course in March. I’m getting an updated DME report, yet today and will share.

What a beautiful car! Was the aftermarket exhaust present when the car was CPO’d by Porsche? If so any documents to verify? Also, any track time? And please post a DME. GLWTA!
@Jyadegar1 Yes, those items are included.
Thank you for your prompt response.
Are those items included in the sale? And do you mind posting photographs.
Additionally can you present any information on service history with respect to last oil change, brake fluid flush, if the water pump is original, if the coolant fluid reservoir is original, engine mounts, tire age and wear, brake pad wear, clutch change, Cabin + Intake filters, TPSM sensor last change, Battery Year, if the car has been bore scoped, and the Over Rev Report. Thanks again.
@Jyadegar1 Yes, I do.
Do you have all the original parts which were removed? Such as the factory head unit, factory exhaust, factory amplifier. Thank you.
@Pcars-Bimmers I concur that the 997 is a great series and this car is a beast! The previous owner and myself both are multi Porsche owners. I’m selling because I’m replacing with a 992 series GTS and the six speed transmission keeps you engaged in the driving experience. I hope this helps.
These 997s are awesome cars and this one appears to be a good example, too. But quite a few owners, any PO history/documentation and also why you are selling it so soon?
Bid in the amount of $67,000
@LR109 Apologize for any confusion, the car is in TX.
Where is the car ? Listing says Tx and write up says seller is Florida. Thanks
