This 2012 Porsche 997.2 Carrera GTS Cabriolet is finished in Carrara White over Black leather upholstery. Factory options include a 7-speed PDK transmission, a limited-slip differential, bi-xenon headlights with PDLS, clear taillights, painted side skirts, the Sport Chrono Package Plus, a BOSE Surround Sound System, Adaptive Sport Seats with painted backrests, additional leather upholstery, and body-colored interior components, and more. Showing less than 49k miles on the odometer, this example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
Sporting the wider bodyshell of the Carrera 4, this GTS is finished in Carrara White with a black convertible soft top. Optional details include painted side skirts, painted mirror attachment points, bi-xenon headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), clear taillight lenses, and self-dimming mirrors. Standard features include silver model designations on the doors, red brake calipers, quad exhaust outlets, and black-finished 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels. A collection of images is provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor damage in December 2015.
The cabin was factory-selected in Black leather in favor of the standard GTS Alcantara Package. Optional body-colored appointments follow the seat backrest shells, lower rear panel, instrument dials, and Sport Chrono stopwatch dial, while additional leather extends to the logo-embossed center console and PDK gate surround. Additional options include heated Adaptive Sport Seats with Porsche-crested headrests and driver memory functions, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, stainless steel illuminated door sill guards, the BOSE Surround Sound System, and PCM 3.0 with an Extended Navigation Module.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine with a special resonance intake manifold and a sport exhaust system. It produces a factory-rated 408 HP, offering a 23 HP increase over the contemporary Carrera S model. This example is equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission that drives the rear wheels. Performance features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, and 13” cross-drilled rotors paired with 4-piston brake calipers at each corner. The seller states a 30k-mile service was performed in January 2020, the oxygen sensors were replaced in April 2023, and the engine oil was last changed in March 2025. The car most recently passed a California emissions inspection in May 2025.

Yes, the car has been in Monterey since and there was also a service in 2024.
Since arriving in California from AL, has the car remained in Monterey and covered just 2000 miles, and just the one recent service in 2025 since the previous oil change in 2022 which was the last recorded mileage on the Carfax or has there another CarFax page with current details since that time?

Just to touch on some of the questions prior to rapping up the day here. The car is currently registered here in California to the current owner. The car is being sold on consignment. Any issues or service needs were address by R and M motors when the current owner to possession - you can see their service invoice in the gallery.
We don’t have any information on the 2015 incident. This was prior to current ownership but we do see on a past listing of this car where it states that the front bumper was refinished which flagged the Carfax report.
This is a nice spec and enthusiast owned. We like this one and hope it finds a new custodian tomorrow!
@AGates - Thanks for posting and you are correct. Always helpful to Google the VIN before you bid. Currently at $18k here with 17 hours to go. Was a reserve not met at just under $65k on the other auction website. Will be interesting to see which websites ends up bringing the higher last bid and if it will find a new home. Nicely spec'd car but many get skittish with Carfax damage reports. Would be a great one to see in person to calm any fears. I'll be watching!

Looks awesome. Love the Cab. Love the PDK rather than manual - my preference. Purists in horror. What are the problems with the car? Both obvious and known to you. Passed smog in CA last month. Currently registered here? You are selling as an owner dealer so what is both the good and bad news?
