This 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Grand Touring is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Stormy Blue Mica over a tan leather interior, it comes equipped with a sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein shocks, a power-retractable hardtop, xenon headlights, 17” V-spoke alloy wheels, automatic climate control, power accessories, a Bose premium audio system, and more. Showing just over 102k miles on the odometer, this NC Miata example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts.

The body is finished in Stormy Blue Mica and features a power-retractable hardtop. Exterior details include xenon headlights, fog lights, MX-5 badging at the rear, and dual exhaust outlets. It rides on 17” V-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in a new set of Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 tires. The seller notes the front bumper and hood have been refinished to address prior chips and scratches, and the body is noted to be free of dents or dings, with only minor hairline scratches visible on the rear bumper. There is also a streak on the windshield from a previously worn wiper blade, which may be correctable with glass polishing. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report that shows minor rear damage in November 2022.

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in tan leather with matching door panels, complemented by black upper dashboard surfaces and carpeting. Amenities include heated bucket seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with multifunction controls, and a Bose audio system with CD, MP3, SiriusXM, and AUX inputs. The seller reports some wear on the driver’s seat consistent with its age and mileage. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four engine, delivering a factory-rated 158 HP and 140 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed automatic transmission. The chassis features an advanced front-midship layout for optimal weight distribution and handling balance, supported by a four-wheel independent suspension system with double wishbones up front, a multi-link rear, and a front shock tower brace. Braking is facilitated by ventilated front discs and solid rear discs, complemented by electronic brakeforce distribution, ABS, and standard traction and stability control systems. Recent services include the installation of NGK spark plugs, new OE ignition coils, a synthetic oil change, and transmission fluid replacement.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Very nice car. I've put about 100 miles on it. Runs and drives well with lots of power. Rare color combination. Rare power hardtop that works flawlessly.”

    Whoever becomes the winner here, please do yourself a favor and change out the coolant tank. If you're road tripping it back home, have it done prior to the trip as these become very brittle. If it lets go and you don't catch it immediately, you're stranded and looking at an engine replacement. This one needs to be replaced ASAP. OEM versions are only about $60 and need to be considered a maintenance item every 5-7 years. There are aftermarket aluminum tanks that cost more but eliminate the issue 100%. Easy to install yourself or a shop shouldn't charge more than an hour.
    This is going to be a lot of car for the money and would hate for the new owner to throw that all away! These things are absolutely bulletproof other than the coolant tank.

    Wow. We’re down to the last hour of the auction and the current bid doesn’t even come remotely close to my investment. Plus, it’s well below even a low wholesale value. There is NO RESERVE. It’s becoming apparent my loss will most certainly become someone else’s gain. Guys and girls. Look around. You can’t touch a 2012 GT with a power hardtop for this high bid.

    @Nathanielhrussell , I don’t see why not.

    Seem solid enough to fly in/drive out for a 700 mile trip?

    Hello and welcome to my auction. I'm a HUGE fan of this generation MX-5. When one catches my eye, I grab it. They are a ton of fun, comfortable (Even for 6+' drivers) and super reliable with a huge fan base. Clubs, rally's, ect.

    This particular car I purchased at auction and brought to a much higher level than when I purchased it, investing more than I will likely get out of it but I wanted it right. Appears to have been sold new in the Palm Springs area of California then a brief stop in Delaware then to there I purchased it from, Ft Lauderdale Florida. Never has been exposed to winter weather. A very clean car. The Stormy Blue Mica paint gleams. The interior is very clean (I even purchased new, OE floor mats for it.) with some wear on the drivers seat leather. The power hardtop is rare and it works flawlessly. Recently fully serviced with new NGK spark plugs, OE Mazda coils (All four), a synthetic oil change and transmission fluid service.

    This car will be an absolute bargain.
