This 2012 BMW E92 M3 Coupe is finished in Jerez Black Metallic over a Fox Red and Black leather interior. It features a 6-speed manual transmission connected to its naturally aspirated S65 V8 engine as well as the optional Competition Package, Premium Package, Enhanced Premium Sound, a carbon fiber roof, Carbon Leather interior trim, an M Variable Differential Lock, M suspension, an upgraded Akrapovic exhaust, and custom powder-coated wheels. This E92 was configured and purchased new by the current owner who took delivery of the car at the BMW factory in Germany. Showing just over 43k miles on the odometer, this one-owner M3 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Louisiana.
This E92 is finished in Jerez Black Metallic and features M3-specific bodywork including flared wheel arches, front fender vents with integrated turn signals, aggressive bumpers, side skirts, a rear diffuser, M exterior mirrors, a carbon fiber roof, and an aluminum “power dome” hood. Other equipment includes black Shadowline trim, adaptive xenon headlights, quad exhaust tips, and a rear trunk lid spoiler. The factory 19” Style 359 Competition Package forged wheels are custom powder-coated dark grey and come dressed in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from 2021. The seller notes some normal signs of road wear are present, the windows have been tinted, and the reflectors on the front bumper have been painted to match the body. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing damage to the front end in 2015.
The cabin is appointed with Fox Red and Black leather upholstery accented by optional Carbon Leather trim. Accessories include a three-spoke multifunction M steering wheel with contrast stitching, an M shift knob, M3-branded door sills, an M-design instrument cluster, aftermarket pedal covers, and automatic climate control. The optional Premium Package adds power-folding exterior mirrors, Comfort Access keyless entry, a power rear sunshade, power-operated front seats, a rearview mirror with an integrated compass, Park Distance Control (rear), and a Navigation System. The car was also optioned with Enhanced Premium Sound, heated front seats, and BMW Apps.
This M3 is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter S65 V8 rated at 414 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by a 6-speed manual transmission and an M Variable Differential Lock. The optional Competition Package adds a 10mm lower ride height along with more responsive Electronic Damper Control (EDC) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) programming. This M3 has also been fitted with an upgraded Akrapovic exhaust. The seller reports the spark plugs and differential fluid were changed in 2015, a battery replacement and wheel alignment were performed in 2021, and all new brake pads, rotors, and sensors were installed in 2022 at approximately 40k miles. The seller adds that annual maintenance and routine fluid changes can be seen in the invoices provided in the gallery, and a fresh service was completed in preparation for sale.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, the original window sticker, a toolkit, an OEM BMW windshield shade, a BMW first aid kit, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Manual gearbox, COMPETITION Package, carbon roof, one owner! Special Jerez paint!”

@Msflaherty the system on this vehicle does have cats, certainly some more power/noise to be untapped there if desired. We do not emissions test here in the New Orleans area so I can not offer any wisdom on that matter, sorry.
I do not have any photos from the accident, no.
As far as the tint goes in the rear glass, it is failing a tiny bit at the top near the “frits” or black dots since it can not adhere to the glass as well there. Most of the time I leave tint alone on my vehicles when it comes to prepping for sale as it is a preference and in some/most states illegal. No point in spending money to redo/repair tint if the upcoming owner will be ripping it off anyway, if it was bad enough however I probably would have just removed it… good eye! @silverfox90
@silverfox90 the damage/repair mentioned from the 1/2015 Carfax accident can now be found via the gallery in the last few photos. Please notate the front bumper cover, driver side headlight, and driver side fender were all replaced from the incident; all PLASTIC components of course… all other areas of the car mentioned in the supplement were purely cosmetic and most at the end of the day were blended out for a proper paint match in respect of the rather unique Jerez Metallic finish. The repair facility that carried out the job/claim is the body shop for the local BMW dealership here in the New Orleans, LA (Peake BMW). Please see via the supplement the car was indeed drivable, and the alignment was checked only for it to be found relatively well in spec after the accident as from what my client told me was a rather slow impact, hope this clears the air here, nothing to hide! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hi - is the akrapovic a cat back exhaust? Pass annual emissions?
Found it- sorry.
Dylan-Would you mind putting up the window sticker? Thanks- Doug
all those service records and not one mention of the accident or repairs that were done. If this is a one owner car, it ought to be easy to provide clarity.
I see after looking at pictures 91 and 101 more closely it appears to be the shadow of the rear window shade through the glass.
Interested to know the answers to the other questions below @Nolasport Thank you!

any pics or copi of estimate for the front end damage?

Good morning, does the owner have any photos showing the damage listed on the Carfax and what was repaired/replaced?
The listing mentions normal signs of road wear. Is that mainly to the front bumper? It looks from the photos to have a decent amount of chips, but it’s tough to make out what might be chips vs bugs or water spots.
Picture 91 and 101 looking at the rear glass towards the top, it appears like condensation or that the tint is failing. Again tough to tell when zooming. Thank you!
Morning all and Happy Friday! Wanted to reach out and make sure everyone knows I'm available for any questions that might pop up in regards to the E92. I've done my best to create a thorough auction with the help of the moderators at PCARMARKET and I hope it shows. The E9X generation of the BMW offers a rather enthusiast oriented driving experience, one that the current new car market seems to be moving further and further away from with today's production regulations and standards. I believe that is why Hagerty included it in their Bull Market buys for 2024, see the link below for the full write up! Thanks for the strong bids early on and best of luck to everyone.

I appreciate the kind words Spencer! E9Xs are always fun to shoot. - Josh
@spencerberke I will be sure to share that with him, I couldn't agree more! This thing almost looks blue/purple in the showroom at night!
As a photographer myself, I wanted to give props to the photographer who took these pictures. Great job on showing the true color of Jerez, eye level photos along with lower level photos, details, solid composition and more. Really good work, excited to see what this car brings. Good luck to the seller!

@Msflaherty you made me nervous there for a minute, but no, absolutely not. I see the holograms/shadows you're reffering to in the photos however, I'd correlate that directly to the sun-light and clearcoat on the roof. Roof is in great shape, no dents at all.
Are those dents in the roof - centerline near windshield and some depressions over driver?
@maladent The only records/service invoices I have for the car are the ones that can be found in the gallery, I did ask my client when I took possession of the car and he said the rod bearings and actuators have never been addressed. Thanks!
Any service to rod bearings? Throttle actuators? Thanks
