Available for auction is an exact copy of the PRS Private Stock guitar given to Michael Shank Racing (DP overall winner) of the 2012 24 Hours of Daytona. The seller states the owner won this in a contest from Grand-Am and PRS Guitars commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Rolex 24 at Daytona Race. The guitar is signed by all living 24 Hours of Daytona winners at the event. The seller states this guitar is one of only 2 known in existence and made exclusively for the winner of the GRAND-AM contest.
The serial number is 12181762 and the model is Private Stock #3641 with a date of 1/13/12. The seller states the owner has extensive documentation of the build of the guitar along with the press release about the guitar and the race.

It's an interesting dilema for me; the car guy in me thinks it would almost be sacrilegious to take her out into a local bar, while the amateur musician in me thinks it would be exceptionally cool. Decisions, dicisions. Thanks.
@77Khamsin I only have the build sheet from PRS (picture 10) with the specs. The only additional info I have is from an initial press release stating 111 gold mother-of-pearl inlays and a retail value of more than $16,000. It’s been an art piece for me, not a gigging instrument!
Hi, so this is a guitar that I would actually play - regularly, so can I get a few more specific details on the actual specs? I assume that the Pickups are the 53/10 humbuckers, and you stated that it's has the Regular/ Standard neck - which I prefer. If there are any other instrument specs that you can post, it would be appreciated. Thanks. And, even if I wind up playing it, I won't beat it up. I take VERY good care of my guitars.
@nahk it is in a custom case that you can see from the pictures. The choice of shippers is yours as is insurance, if you want it. I will make sure it’s packed as safely as possible.

@stephenolitsky i was not there when it was signed, and as can be seen, race car drivers aren’t known for their penmanship! I have never tried to figure out each of the autographs.

Hello! I have owned this guitar since Jan 2012 and now it's time for someone else to enjoy it. The guitar is unplayed and I've never even plugged it in! It's been on my wall with some other guitars I've collected! I'm a big racing fan and owning something that almost no one else owns has been pretty cool! I have pictures of the guitar being built that I will share with the winning bidder. This is a special "cannot buy it" type item, and it's magnificent in person! I believe it to be 1 of 2, with the other presented to Michael Shank Racing after their overall victory at the 50th Running of the 24 Hours of Daytona!
