Celebrating the final evolution of the legendary Mezger engine with the largest and most powerful naturally aspirated flat-six ever equipped in a road-going 911, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 was produced for the 2011 model year and limited to 613 examples in total. Widely regarded as the greatest Porsche 911 of the modern era, the GT3 RS 4.0 comes standard with a carbon fiber hood and front fenders, front canards, lightweight carbon fiber bucket seats, a 6-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, a single-mass flywheel, Dynamic Engine Mounts, and unique exterior graphics. This example comes finished in Black over a two-tone Black and Red interior with leather and Alcantara upholstery. It was optioned with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sound Package Plus, auto-dimming mirrors, Dynamic Cornering Lights, Porsche Communication Management (PCM), clear taillights, an aluminum footrest, deviated interior stitching, Alcantara sun visors, the Extended Carbon Package, a rear model logo in red, and black-painted wheels. Sold new in Massachusetts, it remained under the original owner’s care until the second owner’s purchase in 2022 and was acquired by the current owner in 2024. A true collector’s item with less than 1k miles driven from new, this GT3 RS 4.0 is now being offered for auction out of Georgia.
Based on the standard GT3 RS, the 4.0 version uses a lighter carbon fiber hood and front fenders, front wheel arch extensions, silver-finished front dive planes, polycarbonate rear windows, a glass-reinforced plastic decklid, and a fixed rear wing with unique side plates. The front air intakes, dive planes, and wing uprights are finished in silver, complementing the two-tone mirrors and racing stripes. This example is finished in Black, and some sources report that only 36 U.S. market cars left the factory in this color. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with optional Dynamic Cornering, LED taillights and daytime running lights, optional clear taillight lenses, auto-dimming mirrors, dual center-mounted titanium tailpipes, an optional red rear model designation, yellow ceramic brake calipers, and 19” center-lock wheels in black with original Michelin tires. The seller notes the front end is preserved by clear paint protection film, and the exterior is in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black leather and Alcantara accented by optional deviated red stitching, seatbelts, door pulls, and red Alcantara on the seat centers, armrests, and headliner. Accessories include carbon fiber lightweight bucket seats, optional carbon fiber dashboard and air vent trim, a carbon fiber center console, carbon fiber door sills with model logos, a three-spoke Alcantara steering wheel with deviated stitching, a red Alcantara gear knob and parking brake handle, an optional aluminum footrest, Alcantara sun visors, and a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch. The driver is also provided with automatic climate control, cruise control, cupholders, Sound Package Plus, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with extended navigation.
Up to 500 HP and 339 lb-ft of torque is produced by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter Mezger flat-six engine featuring forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, an RSR crankshaft, Dynamic Engine Mounts, and a sport exhaust system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential and a single-mass flywheel. The car is also equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with adjustable coilovers, Dynamic Engine Mounts, the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). The seller indicates the car was maintained by Audi Nashua of New Hampshire under the original owner’s care until 2022, and an annual service was performed in March of 2024.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a commemorative GT3 RS 4.0 piston display, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for taking the time to view our 842-mile GT3RS 4.0. This car came to us from a very prominent collector and has since been stored in our climate-controlled facility, and the car remains in excellent condition. The car is up to date on service, completely stock apart from the addition of a radar system, and still sits on original tires.”

I wish to venture out with an early wild guess that the sell price on this beauty will be north of $1.2M
A DME report has been added to the listing gallery.
@VAS_GT this particular car has a painted wing. @rmuldbakken is right, however we have had a 4.0 that was optioned with a carbon wing and it looks great!
Wow!. What a beauty. 862 Miles only!. Must be one of the very few below 5000 miles globally in Black. Safer than the S&P 500. Love the spec and the black on black wheels. These are getting rarer and rarer as they go locked into collections. Good luck to the lucky bidders!.
The GT3 RS 4.0 is the best 911 ever produced and Merit Partners reputation speaks for itself. GLWS. This is a beautiful car. I do hope the winning bidder drives it more, if they need help putting some miles on it, I'm available anytime.
@VAS_GT The 4.0 have normally painted rear wing blade. 3.8 versions have exposed carbon blade
Bid in the amount of $760,000
@seller Does it have exposed or painted carbon rear wing?
@nosubstitute4porsche This example does not have front axle lift
@911symphony Great name!
Wink wink. Nothing like a bit of sarcasm to brighten up everyone's morning.
This car is gorgeous just as it is. And what a great deal for the original buyer back in the day. My 2012 997.2 TTM cost only about $40k less than this one, new, but now trails in value by a multiple of about 5!
@KvN Times they have a changed. Never heard that one before.
hi seller.. Does this awesome car have front lift option? thank you
Wow.
I’d Bid hard if it were a Tip.
