The homologating foundation of the 911 GT3 race car, the updated 997.2-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS debuted in 2010 with improved aerodynamic bodywork, a 6-speed transmission with shorter gear ratios, and a new Mezger flat-six engine displacing 3.8 liters. One of 541 examples built for the U.S., this 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS was delivered new in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, finished in Grey Black with contrasting Guards Red accents. It came equipped with the optional Front Axle Lift System, Sound Package Plus, Sport Chrono Package Plus, PCM 3.0 with extended navigation, and a lightweight battery. The car was exported to Europe in 2012 and purchased by its last owner in 2015, who installed an OEM Clubsport harness bar, European analog gauges, and OEM sport bucket seats with Porsche crest headrests. Acquired by the seller and imported back to the U.S. in 2024, this GT3 RS is now being offered for auction with approximately 18k miles showing on the odometer.
The GT3 RS shares its wide rear bodywork with the all-wheel-drive 911 models and features unique front wheel arch extensions, a front spoiler, a decklid air scoop, and a fixed carbon fiber rear wing. This example is finished in Grey Black with contrasting Guards Red accents on the mirrors, front grille, rear wind end plates, and 19” GT3 center-lock wheels. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlamps, LED taillights and daytime running lights, side skirts, dual center-mounted titanium tailpipes, and red Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller notes the original side graphics have been removed and an aftermarket Akrapovič rear diffuser has been installed. The exterior is described to be in excellent condition all-around, with clear paint protection film applied to the front end and rear quarter. New Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were installed in October 2024. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Black leather and Alcantara upholstery contrasted by Guards Red seatbelts and door pulls. OEM Porsche sport bucket seats were installed by the last owner, along with an OEM Clubsport harness bar and European analog gauges. Other accessories include a three-spoke Alcantara steering wheel, an Alcantara shift knob, carbon fiber dashboard trim pieces, metal Porsche-branded pedal covers, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, automatic climate control, Sound Package Plus, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM)3.0 with extended navigation. The seller notes that the original sticky radio buttons were replaced along with the windshield wiper blades in 2024.
Rated at 450 HP and 317 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six engine features dry sump lubrication, titanium connecting rods, VarioRam variable valve timing, and Dynamic Engine Mounts. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), 6-piston front and 4-piston rear brake calipers, cross-drilled and vented rotors, the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, Front Axle Lift System, and an aftermarket Dundon Motorsports harmonic balancer. The seller indicates that the spark plugs were replaced in 2021, and an oil service was completed in 2024, along with the installation of new cabin and engine air filters.
This sale will include owner's manuals and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "This particular RS was delivered new to Fort Lauderdale, FL, and remained there until being exported to Europe in 2012. It was transferred to a new owner in 2015, who kept the car until 2024, when he sold it to Switchcars, and it was brought home to the USA. During his ownership, he maintained it well and did not track the car. We sold the car to a good client in 2024, who trades in and out of cars fairly often, and he recently traded it back to us for a 2022 GT3. It is in excellent condition inside and out with no abnormal wear. It looks and feels like a car that’s been cared for very well."

@kmorioka The mileage at time of inspection was 18,340 - the current mileage is 18,353. Our shop inspected and serviced the car, and I can vouch that there's no changes in the car in the 13 miles driven since the inspection.
@VICASSOMOTORSPORTS The rear rotors have zero cracks in them, none. The front rotors do exhibit some cracking, but in our experience, they are not to the level that they need replaced.
@seller. ok if you say so, but I do this for a living. Not the selling cars part, but repair and restoration. It's a great car don't get me wrong, not badmouthing it however they still need to be replaced. They're on their last leg
@VICASSOMOTORSPORTS I disagree. Hairline cracks will even pass a CPO inspection if they're below a certain length/depth. The rule of thumb in my experience is they are due for replacement when the cracks connect from hole to hole.
Bid in the amount of $275,250
@switchcars the inspection is from 10/24. is there one more recent?
Service records have been added to the gallery for this listing.
not trying to rain on anyones parade, but something no one is bringing up is the rotors have to be replaced because they have hairline cracks all over them.
@kmorioka I've uploaded our mechanical inspection as well as the service receipt, so @pcarmarket can add it to the gallery. In addition, there is a DME report and paint meter readings already in the gallery.
Is there an inspection report available?
@Clay7484 Have you seen the 4.0's!
Killer spec of one of the best cars ever made.
@gsjdvm The vehicle was originally optioned with the "comfort" seats. Along the way an owner sourced OEM carbon fiber Sport Buckets and installed them to replace comfort seats. The vehicle was and is equipped with steel brakes, yes.
So comfort but heavier seats and iron rotors(no PCCB), correct?
Good luck to the bidders! I just recently acquired my 997.2 GT3RS. The most perfect machine and the best 911 ever made.

@pnw-porsche -
They have not been
Thank you. Have the coolant lines been pinned/welded?
@pnw-porsche Having done a kms to US gauge cluster swap before on a car we bought, it has to be done by a Porsche authorized center, and they were online with Porsche HQ when coding the new cluster to ensure and validate that the mileage was consistent/not tampered with. A CYA thing for Porsche. Mileage is correct, accurate, original. It's a digital odometer, coded to the ECU, not like a 993 where you can "swap the odometer"
Is the mileage shown accurate with only the gauge faces swapped, or was the fully cluster changed including odometer?
Bid in the amount of $200,000
Bid in the amount of $125,000
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@Epicmc They can be sourced from Porsche, but we did not get the original gauge cluster back with the car. On these cars in particular, I've had a few Canadian ones with the k/ph speedo, and it's never been a second thought because the speedo increments on the analog side are so small and off to the left that I never look at it, I just use the digital readout right in the center.
@GRATR15 -
Minor cracking like this can also occur over time from normal spirited driving. I once warped and blued a set of Brembos just from a few hard stops on the highway.
The owner who bought it in 2015 and kept it until 2024 claimed to never have tracked the car. We also do not see any other wear on the car that would be indicative of track use.
Beautiful example of a 997.2, quick question. Photos 69 & 71 show cracking in the rotors which is typically indicative of high speed, high heat situations brought about from track driving. The car is listed as not being tracked, can the owner explain why the rotors are in this condition?
Are the removed factory Guages available?
