This 2011 example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a Black interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission, optional heated leather Sport Seats, automatic climate control, Sound Package Plus, Sport Chrono Package Plus, dynamic cornering bi-xenon headlamps, a Sport Look footrest, and PCM with navigation. It was sold new in Texas and remained with its original owner for 10 years before being purchased by the current owner in 2022. Showing under 60k miles on the odometer, this Boxster Spyder is now being offered for auction out of Massachusetts.

The Boxster Spyder features a manually operated two-piece convertible top that stows beneath an aluminum rear decklid with distinctive double streamliners. Compared to a standard 987.2 Boxster, the Spyder also features a lightweight aluminum hood and door panels, unique LED daytime running lights, exposed side intake grilles, and a larger fixed rear spoiler. This example is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with black Porsche script side stripes and silver 19” Boxster Spyder lightweight wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero tires from 2021. Other equipment includes optional dynamic cornering bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, LED taillights, dual roll hoops, and a rear diffuser with dual center-mounted tailpipes. The seller notes two very small scratches are present, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Black interior features optional heated leather Sport Seats, red RS-style cloth door pulls, red seatbelts, a body-colored center console, and painted trim pieces. Other accessories include automatic climate control, cruise control, Sound Package Plus, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation, a universal audio interface, a Bluetooth receiver, Voice Control, and an optional Sport Look footrest.

The Boxster Spyder features a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine producing as much as 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, an increase of 10 HP over the Boxster S. This example is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The seller states routine services and dealer inspections have been completed.

This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title (lien).

The seller would like you to know: “What we have here is a rare and beautiful 2011 Porsche Boxster Spyder with 59,500 original miles on the odometer.  This car is finished in Silver Metallic and has a complementary Black leather interior and a Black "Bimini" convertible top. She is powered by her 3.4L H6 DOHC 24V, 320hp Boxster motor which is coupled to her 6-speed Manual Transmission; she is loaded with options including AC, a factory AM/FM/CD radio, Cruise Control, Power Windows, and Power Mirrors. @zuff Checked with the owner. He said "no" as far as he knows.. Thanks

  • Silverstone (seller) 2 months, 3 weeksago

@zuff I don’t know but would err on the side of no

Thanks @seller. Any idea if the shift cables have been replaced?

  • Silverstone (seller) 2 months, 3 weeksago

@GT4Driver I posted the videos that you asked about yesterday. The owner is responsible for the car payoff. There is nothing added to the amount bid on the auction and in Massachusetts the state does not issue temporary plates so we can’t do that. They do issue some sort of a travel plate, but they insist that you pay the tax on the car in Massachusetts if they issue it which is ridiculous. Thx

@Jpf5064 I have maintenance records from the current owner, but not before. The Carfax shows much of the maintenance from day one but we don’t have the actual receipts.

We do have two keys yes and thank you you

DME is clean, that should help with the sale….GLWA

    Few questions:

    1) (probably a dumb question) winning bid here will be used to pay off the balance, and the winner is not adding 11k on top of what ever winning bid is correct?
    2) any driving vids coming such as walk around, cold start, driving?
3)As seller is a dealer, can they assist with acquiring temp tags in the off chance one would want to drive it home?

  • Silverstone (seller) 2 months, 3 weeksago

I’m in a really bad area for service so I don’t know whether these messages are actually getting through, but I uploaded the DME report to the gallery

  • Silverstone (seller) 2 months, 3 weeksago

I just posted the report if you have any questions please feel free to ask

I picked the car up this morning and I am at the Porsche dealer right now getting a DME over rev report. I will share that as soon as I get it.

DME reports became relevant after 2005, earlier cars did not record this information. It’s also only relevant on manual transmission cars, PDK cars are not able to overrev the engine. The report provides a buyer with knowledge of any extreme overrev’s that could result in premature engine failure. Any Porsche dealer can provide the information.

@Colwyn555 also, I coordinate and personally handle the payoff and logistics for getting the physical title

  • Silverstone (seller) 2 months, 3 weeksago

@Colwyn555 Part of your question is answered in the response below. As for my involvement, I am a dealer who has about 100 cars on consignment; they are not all located at my facility. I am responsible for getting the pictures and listings out to about 20 websites and coordinating the auctions on various sites depending on the car and audience. I’ve sold a lot of 911’s and have often had requests for DME’s. I’ve also sold a number of Boxsters and for whatever reason this is the first time that question has ever been raised. I have no problem with the requirement but in this case with the timing of the auction and the logistics with the owners travel, it’s a challenge. My offer was to have the DME done after the auction and before any money changes hands, if we cannot get it done before. Just trying to be flexible but understand if that’s a problem. Thanks

@JohnCol description is incorrect. He is the third owner but it was only in New Mexico for a year before coming to Massachusetts. It is possible that the Texas and new Mexico owners are the same. Sorry for that I didn’t notice when reviewing the listing. There is an 11,000 balance on the car with Porsche financial. After paying it off they send an electronic copy of the title to the Massachusetts DMV who then produce the paper title and forward it to me for execution. They say the whole process is about 15 days. I would estimate 20. Thx

  • Colwyn555 (registered bidder) 2 months, 3 weeksago

I assume the owner has a payoff balance due, how long does that take to release title. Carfax showed 3 owners.
A DME provided after the sale is a bit too late, can that be provided prior to close of auction so that buyers are fully aware of past driving pattern, prior to close of bidding. If you're the agent, but the car is not in your possession, what is your involvement. ?

  • JohnCol (registered bidder) 2 months, 3 weeksago

If I understand the description there is a lien on the car? Also the description says this is the second owner. Was the Texas owner & New Mexico owner the same person?

  • Silverstone (seller) 2 months, 4 weeksago

@zuff Yes, I know what it is and if I had one, I would have posted it. The car is not close to me and the owner travels extensively. I may be able to get that done by auctions end but I cannot guarantee. I will however make any sale through this auction subject to an acceptable DME report after the fact if not before.

  • zuff (registered bidder) 2 months, 4 weeksago

@seller can you post a DME overrev report? This shows how many times and when (if at all) the car exceeded engine redline, represented by 5 or 6 ranges, and indicates how the car was driven.
