Debuted at the 2009 Los Angeles Motor Show as the lightest Porsche production car on the market, the original Boxster Spyder is a purebred driver’s car featuring minimal amenities, stiffer suspension, carbon fiber bucket seats, lightweight 19” wheels, and a specially tuned flat-six engine producing 320 HP. This 2011 example is finished in Carrara White over a Black leather and Alcantara interior. It was optioned with a 7-speed PDK transmission, the Sport Chrono Package, Sound Package Plus, and a SportDesign steering wheel. This 987.2 has also been upgraded with a GT3-spec sway bar, a Fabspeed exhaust system, and wheel spacers. It was acquired by the current owner earlier in 2023 and is now being offered for auction out of Florida while showing approximately 26k miles on the odometer.
Compared to a contemporary Boxster S model, the Spyder version features lightweight aluminum door panels, a larger fixed rear spoiler, and a single-piece aluminum rear decklid with dual fairings that covers the manually operated soft top. This example is finished in Carrara White with optional matching roll bars and lightweight 19” Boxster Spyder wheels in silver. Custom black “Spyder” script graphics have been added to each side along with aftermarket GT3-style nose vents on the front bumper. Other details include silver-accented side air intakes, a black dual rear diffuser, dual center-mounted tailpipes, red brake calipers, and red soft top latching points above the rear fenders. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in Black leather and Alcantara and features a pair of lightweight carbon fiber bucket seats. The Spyder comes without a hood over its gauge cluster and features a painted body-color center console and dashboard trim strip as well as red seatbelts with matching RS-style door pulls. This example is equipped with an optional three-spoke SportDesign steering wheel, the Sport Chrono Package, and Sound Package Plus. It was not equipped with air conditioning from the factory. A set of custom coco floor mats have been added along with a yellow 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel.
The Boxster Spyder features a naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six engine factory-tuned for an output of up to 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, an increase of 10 HP over the standard Boxster S. Equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package and 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, the Spyder can reach 60 MPH from a standstill in approximately 4 seconds. This example also features an upgraded GT3-spec front sway bar as well as a Fabspeed Motorsports exhaust system.
This sale will include the original window sticker, two keys, owner’s manuals, car covers, an OBD II programming device, and a clean title.

I'm on here if anyone has last minute questions...one thing I forgot to mention is the seats have EDGUARD bolster protectors installed. Previous owner had bought them and never installed. I had them put on. There is no wear underneath, but it does protect those valuable seats and looks stock.
@Ilikeporsches thank you!
Gorgeous - good luck w sale!

@dashanin no problem, I get it...I was able to meet the owner for the last 8 years , drive the car, etc...when I bought the it. I can't imagine whoever wins the auction not being thrilled with it. The guy was pickier than I am and I'm pretty anal.
@TimPappy thank you. PPF just adds obvious thickness to the readings. Appreciate your effort in validating that paint is original.
Bid in the amount of $55,780
@dashanin I posted pics of paint meter readings. I don't know much about them, but I can't get it to read bumpers (I assume non metalic). As I had mentioned earlier the car had PPF on fenders, mirrors, front portion of frunk. I had clay bar correction and ceramic finish done on entire car. Not sure what that does to the readings? I was by myself when I took the readings/pics if you need to see other pics just holler. I'll wait till my wife gets home. I went over the entire car.Every reading was in the range you see.
@BordenAG that's what I thought and had been told as well. ty

@TimPappy with a PDK, a DME report is not needed. The car can not be over-rev'd to the point it would hurt or affect the engine with a PDK. That will only happen when a someone blows a shift with a manual transmission.
@LR!109 I didn't run a DME when I bought it as I didn't think it was necessary with a PDK. If you require one I'll reach out to Smithmotorworks in Panama City Beach to see if he can work one in?? He's the shop that's done everything on the car since 2015. Pretty sure a PDK would make it a mute point though. That's what I've been told anyway.
Do you have a DME report ? Thank you

Thank you for the bid @LR109. I have removed the reserve on the car. Paint meter pics as soon as meter gets here. Happy 4th weekend to all.

@dashanin I bought a paint meter and will post pics as soon as it gets here...gotta love Amazon. Should have them no later than the 2nd of July.
@dashanin hey, it has the halogen headlights.
@TimPappy thanks. One more question - does it have xenon or halogen headlights?
@dashanin When I bought the car it had ppf on mirrors, front fenders and headlights. It was ok, but had been on there awhile. I had all but the headlight ppf removed, had clay bar and ceramic coating done on entire car including wheels. I'll try to get a paint meter and post pics once I do.
@Hanehearth it is an awesome car...I bought the car thinking that the 2 fake hips and screws in my back would be overcome. I can get in fine but getting out not so great. I don't drive much as I work at home so this was going to be my daily driver.
The listing points to a great driver's car.
Mind sharing why it's on the market?
Thank You,
David
Would you comment on originality of paint, ideally with paint meter readings. Does it have PPF?

Welcome to the auction. I am the 3rd owner of this car and have service records from the previous owner dating back to 2015. The car is in fantastic shape. It looks, sounds, and drives fantastic. All work done on the car since 2015 has been done by a local independent Porsche and Ferrari enthusiast shop. The car has been meticulously cared for. I'll do my best to answer any questions and send additional pics if requested.
