The second-generation Porsche 997 GT3 (997.2) was launched for the 2009 model year featuring an upgraded aerodynamic design and a larger 3.8-liter flat-six engine producing 435 HP. One of 654 examples sold in the United States, this 2011 Porsche 997.2 GT3 is finished in Black over a matching leather and Alcantara. It features the optional Front Axle Lift System, a lightweight battery, a Bluetooth phone interface, a Universal Audio Interface, and an aluminum-look fuel cap. The car remained with its original owner in California up until 2021 before it was purchased by the second owner in North Carolina. Recently acquired by the seller and with just over 8k miles showing on the odometer, this GT3 is now being offered for auction out of Pennsylvania.
The 997.2 GT3 features wider fenders than a contemporary Carrera as well as a unique front bumper with larger radiator grilles, an air extractor vent on the nose, a vented rear bumper with a central exhaust outlet, an engine cover with dual ram air scoops, and a fixed rear wing. This example is finished in Black and rides on factory 19” 911 GT3 center-lock wheels in silver. Other features include a lightweight aluminum hood and doors, full underbody paneling, an integrated front chin spoiler, bi-xenon headlights, LED brake lights, front fog lights, power heated mirrors, red brake calipers, and dual titanium exhaust tips. The seller notes that the car remains in excellent overall condition, has never seen track use, and is preserved with clear paint protection film over the front end. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in Black leather with Alcantara upholstery for the seat centers, steering wheel, armrests, door handles, headliner, parking brake, and shifter. Accessories include black leather Sport Seats with electrically adjustable backrests, a three-spoke Sport steering wheel, matching carpet floor mats, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, a fire extinguisher, a Bluetooth phone interface, a Universal Audio Interface, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
This GT3 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine featuring titanium connecting rods, VarioCam variable valve timing, a 2-stage resonant induction system, and dry sump lubrication with an external oil tank. Up to 435 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque is sent to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and floating cross-drilled disc brakes with fixed 6-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The exhaust has also been modified with a Sharkwerks muffler bypass for a louder and more aggressive tone. The seller indicates the car has been meticulously serviced and treated to extensive preventative maintenance. A collection of records is provided in the gallery showing approximately $30k invested in service.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting our auction. This is a stunning GT3 in like new condition. Huge amount of records. 2 owner car, original paint, with no expense spared caring for the vehicle. Completely stock and true to factory spec. ZERO track time ever. Very rarely do GT3s become available that are as flawless as this one.”

My best friend sold this car to Holt. To say his upkeep mentality on Porsches is over the top is an understatement. Every one of his cars is top of world condition wise. If one shows up in his collection under standard, it gets the same fastidious treatment. I'll miss this one. Ready for a collection, a cross country road trip, or the beginnings of a track life. New owner will not be disappointed.

@HoltMotorsports Thanks — hope it helps!
@dnzg777 Have pages #3 and #10 being uploaded now. Thank you for giving me the heads up on that!

@jcperformance Looks to have been professionally painted. Actually looks like Arctic Silver. I'll upload a close up here in a few min.
Is the white 3.8 on the spoiler painted or just a sticker?
@Alex4848 yep! Check some of the last dozen or so photos in the gallery. The service and update is noted there.
Is the front end lift working properly?
Bid in the amount of $148,000
@Bruno911 Yes that’s common. In this case the last owner was the sort if he only needed a quick plug in a tire, as an example then a car would be getting a brand new full set. It does make life easier.
@dnzg777 I’ll poke around to see if we have anything else once I’m back in the office Monday
Page 3 and 10 missing from ~$30k invoice..?
@turbotax agreed. I think the dealership took advantage of a cautious client. Hard to fathom that all these repairs were required. $5k for new rotors and pads all 4 corners of a 7k mile car? Cmon. This car is basically factory new now. Sucks for the last owner for footing that bill, great for the next owner.
@turbotax Yes, it’s sorted. The previous owner did whatever his service advisor even hinted at, as can be seen on the invoices. That’s how he took care of all the cars. Always a nice bonus
@turbotax - Will have to double check on the 3.8 lettering
- No pin/weld
- Yes we have the center muffler
@Bruno911 at least you know (or hope) that the car is all sorted out now!
Bid in the amount of $145,455
That $30k service invoice is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen on a 7k mile Porsche.
Bid in the amount of $140,000

Is the white 3.8 on the spoiler painted or just a sticker?
Have the coolant lines been pinned?
Are the oem exhaust components included?
@twinvipers Paint meter readings are in the gallery

Just noticed photos of the books, records and spare key seem to not have made it live here.
I’ll try to upload those again here shortly. Just waiting for this album to DL from the cloud.
@twinvipers Yes, images of both were sent to PCar but not seeing them in the gallery. I’ll bounce them over a note and ask them to fix this. (btw, this GT3 is all original paint and zero revs in any range)
Bid in the amount of $100,997
Is it possible to get paint meter readings? DME?
