The ultimate version of Porsche’s 997.2 Carrera, the GTS model features wide fenders, center-lock wheels, a more powerful 3.8-liter engine, and a generous array of standard features including Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE). This 2011 example comes finished in GT Silver Metallic over a black full leather interior with extensive deviated red stitching, instrument dials in Carrara White, the Bose Surround Sound System, and a logo-embossed center console. The car was also ordered with the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, 6-speed manual transmission, and Sport Suspension (P17) which also includes a limited-slip differential. Acquired by the current owner out of Arizona in the Fall of 2021 after spending time in the Northeast, this GTS has since received a full service along with an upgraded GT3 shifter, Numeric shifter cables, and Sharkwerks center exhaust pipe. Now residing in Toronto, Canada, this U.S.-spec GTS is being offered for auction showing just over 79k kilometers (49k miles) miles on the odometer.
Sharing its wide bodywork with the all-wheel-drive models, this GTS comes finished in GT Silver Metallic with 19” RS Spyder center-lock wheels in Black. New Michelin tires were installed in September of 2021 around the same time as a full paint correction and ceramic coating treatment. Clear paint protection film was also applied over the front bumper, forward hood, headlights, front fenders, rear quarters, rockers, and the leading edge of the roof. The seller suspects the driver’s side door to have been refinished at some point under prior ownership, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with optional black full leather upholstery including deviated red stitching extending from the dashboard to the door panels, seats, center console, and rear compartment. Other options include instrument dials in Carrara White, a Sport Chrono timer display in Carrara White, a logo-embossed center console, the Bose Surround Sound System, heated seats, self-dimming mirrors, and extended navigation for PCM 3.0. A Passport 9500 radar detector has been equipped, although it is currently inoperable. All other features and accessories are said to remain fully functional, while a small mark is noted on the rear of the driver’s seat.
The Carrera GTS carries a naturally aspirated 3.8L flat-six that produces up to 408 HP, compared to the standard Carrera S output of 385 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 6-speed manual transmission paired with an upgraded GT3 shifter and Numeric cables installed in April 2022. Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) is equipped as standard and this example features optional Sport Suspension as well as the Sport Chrono Package Plus. A new Sharkwerks center exhaust section pipe was installed in September of 2021 along with a full service including new tires, brake rotors, pads, fluids, spark plugs, belts, and an oil change. Corresponding records can be found in the gallery.
This sale will include a clean title, service records, and the original owner's manuals.

Surprised there aren’t more bids on this.. I would have jumped on this had I not recently acquired a 997.2 C2S 6mt in the same colour. I had jealousy of those wide GTS hips!

Beautiful spec. I purchased a white 997 GTS cab off PCARMARKET last year and have thoroughly enjoyed the car. The center exhaust delete is a must if you are to enjoy the unadulterated sound potential this car has. Did the same on my 991 GT3 Touring and it's just the perfect (and only) upgrade I would do for both cars. No drone...just pure Porsche metallic rasp! Very addictive :D
Last 35 minutes. Good luck to all bidders. Here to answer any questions.
@Swgrantmd The spec was a huge factor for me as well. Rare combo indeed.
Beautiful car, and it has the full leather, which most of the GTSs don’t have. Had I not just purchased @joebatters 09 C4S(which I absolutely love even with the PDK) recently on pcarmarket, I’d be in. I
@DesertGTS I’m not sure the Numeric shifter will help resolve that totally. I believe that is a characteristic of the gearbox in the 997 generation. There is a thread out there on the best gear oil to use to help minimize the undesirable cold shifting characteristics but I can’t locate it right now.
According to engine builder Jake Raby, these engines need to be short shifted at 3500 rpm’s until oil temp and water temp get 200 Ish and 175 degrees respectively to minimize bore scoring, so that eliminates the annoyance of the 1st gear / second gear shifting issues anyway. He also recommends driving car right away and not let it idle to temperature.
@joebatters Thanks for the follow-up! I have one of the '12 GTS manuals, same color with Alcantara, but does not like slotting into 1st gear when cold. Great information.
@DesertGTS Below is the link to Numeric’s webpage. I had one I installed on a 981 Boxster S, a 996 track car and my 2012 GTS. They work beautifully and stock console, shifter boot, nob are retained for street cars. The cable / combo is pricey and I recommend getting them professionally installed, but boy are they are worth it. I kept my stock shifter and cables in case these cars go higher price wise.
On that note, a few of my pcar friends predict that the manual GTS’ will reach 997 GTS values soon. Hard to believe but when you consider there were only about 250 + / - manuals” GTS’ delivered to the US, it may not be too far off.
I love the PDKs and had a 2009 4S pdk launch car, but didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as the manual. Rowing your own gears in a performance car like this is more enjoyable for me. Plus the PDK failure issue, no matter how small the problem may be (50 cent solenoid), requires a total transmission replacement per Porsche. Couldn’t get that out of my head when thinking about long term ownership.

BTW, I have the numeric pedals too and they help with heel toe, but not as well as Rennline adjustable pedals, but well enough for street driving … totally reversible too with no drilling.
No affiliation with Numeric btw, just like great products that enhance an already great machine!

@joebatters Can you post a link for that numeric manual upgrade for potential buyers so there is a better idea of what it entails?

@PD1978 Thank you for your concern. I have been working hard to get well and where I couldn’t walk without assistance and my memory was shot, I am better. My left leg is much stronger. I appreciate your response. Rick
@exert It is a small world. I’ll keep my eye out for a local GTS.
Love this GTS. I have a 2012 C4 GTS manual and I'm also in Oakville. I'm pretty sure I saw your car on Lakeshore last year. GLWS, but I'm sure this will go quickly. The exterior colour / full leather are fantastic.
To give you an idea of how rare this combo is, there are only 16 manual RWD coupes in GT silver, and only seven of these have full leather.
@Adoptagreatpet I’m sorry to hear about your health issues. I can assist you. I good transport company is easy to work with and will send you exactly what they require to ship the car. Would a manual or PDK car be better suited to your needs? I’m actually a M.D.
Hello. Could you help me ship the car by enclosed transport including the paperwork needed. I would pay all costs. I had a mild stroke and am recovering. Beautiful car. Thank you.
bloody GREAT car!
@joebatters Thanks for your input.
I have a 6 spd manual 2012 GTS and I made the numeric shifter and cable swap … much better and can easily be put back to stock but no reason to revert back.
I also have the Sharkwerks center section … absolutely the way to go imo as it sounds great and isn’t too much.
Sports PASM on this car is the way they all should have been speced but they were and mine was not.
Awesome car and GLWS
@johnohara 1. I am not 100% sure but I think its 1.8-2.1% of the value of the car.
2. Selling the car because I made decision to purchase something else and got a GT3 allocation which I was not fully expecting, but that will not be arriving anytime soon. Wife does not want to see so many 2 door Porsches in the driveway, LOL.
3. The centre section makes the car sound fantastic, no drone, but really opens the exhaust up and sounds much better then stock PSE. Great thing is that you can still use the exhaust button to quiet it down or have it sing. It’s a very popular mod on the 997. It’s not loud with the valves open or closed, just right IMO. I have owned several 997 in the past and the numeric cable really do wonders on the shift action, much more direct, gets rid the extra play. Also, the GT3 shifter assembly does the same since it has metal pieces and less plastic. It’s OEM piece so perfect fit. No added noise, just makes shifting better. Also, its a maintenance thing, the car is over 10 years old, the cables are a known problem on older cars to either brake or have a lot of play in them.
Thank you.
3 questions
1. What would be the re-import duty on the car back to usa ?
2. Why selling so quickly after your upgrades ?
3. Why add Sharkwerks center exhaust section pipe pipe and shifter + cables ?
Thanks John
@fayraree Thank you for the kind words and confidence.
I’m a former PCARMARKET auction winner on a 4GTS Cabrio 6MT and I can vouch for the seller and his very high standards when it comes to the condition of his cars. I’ve seen his M3s and now this 911 going back almost 15 years. He has impeccable taste as can be seen by this rare combo. Bid with the utmost confidence, you’re getting a very well sorted out car for which the condition is far better than you would expect for a 49k mile car. Good luck with auction! Buyer will be very lucky and shouldn’t have to worry about making this a garage queen!

Please review the extensive service that was done last fall at my local Porsche dealer, including a post purchaser inspection. I asked them to go over everything in the car. Alignment and oil change was also done in Spring of 2022, invoices also in the gallery. Thank you.
Hello everyone,
I am the current owner of the vehicle. Happy to answer any questions anyone may have. I have not owned the car long, but when it came into my possession last year, I proceeded to get the car up to my high standards both mechanically and cosmetically. Runs and drives exceptionally well. I believe from a post on RL, there are only 4-6 GTS models in the world with this colour/interior combination being the full leather/red stitching with GT Silver. Really pops this combo. Car is ready to be enjoyed and used by next owner as it needs nothing anymore except a new home to a fellow enthusiast. Happy bidding and thank you.
