Offering a sendoff to the 997 generation GT3 and its legendary Mezger engine, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 was produced in a limited series of 600 examples worldwide featuring more aggressive aerodynamics, special trim, and a 500 HP flat-six engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. This particular example, #526, comes finished in Carrara White with the optional Front Axle Lifting System, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Extended Carbon Package, Adaptive Sport Seats, and additional leather trim.  Registered to only two prior owners and kept in a climate control facility throughout its life, this GT3 RS 4.0 shows under 500 miles on the odometer and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

This example sports the traditional GT3 RS 4.0 theme with Carrara White paint contrasted by red and silver accents. Compared to the standard GT3 RS, the 4.0 version includes front dive planes for additional downforce as well as a more aggressively angled rear wing. The factory paint-matched 19” GT3 center-lock wheels come dressed in a Set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires from 2019, and the seller describes the car to have been preserved in excellent overall condition with clear paint protection film applied over the nose. The cabin features a combination of Black and Red leather/Alcantara accented by extended carbon fiber trim covering the dashboard, center console, air vents, and belt outlets. The car was also optioned with an exclusive aluminum footrest, sun visors in Alcantara, an Alcantara storage bin lid with model logo, leather-edged floor mats, and additional leather trim covering the steering column casing and PCM surround. Other optional features include heated Adaptive Sport Seats with memory, Sound Package Plus, cupholders, a Bluetooth Phone Interface, Universal Audio Interface, automatically dimming mirrors, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM 3.0) with extended navigation.

The unique 4.0-liter Mezger flat-six developed for this GT3 RS utilizes a crankshaft from the RSR race car as well as forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, a free-flowing sport exhaust, and modified air intake. Accelerating from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3.5 seconds, the engine sends up to 500 HP and 339 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard performance features include specialized gear ratios, a single-mass flywheel, a limited-slip differential, Dynamic Engine Mounts, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). This example was also optioned with Sport Chrono Package Plus. The seller states service was completed at a Porsche dealership in June of 2020.
