With only 600 units produced worldwide, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 was created as a farewell to the legendary Mezger engine and is widely regarded as the pinnacle of the 997 generation. In addition to its special 4.0-liter flat-six producing up to 500 HP, the GT3 RS 4.0 features more aggressive aerodynamics, unique trim, and a 6-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. This Canadian-delivered example comes finished in Black and features optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), matching wheels, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Extended Carbon Package, Dynamic Cornering Lights, and additional leather/Alcantara trim. Cared for by only two owners since new, this GT3 RS 4.0 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Alberta showing just over 1k kilometers (785 miles) on the odometer.
The nonmetallic Black (A1) finish is complemented by contrasting red and silver graphics as well as optional Black-painted wheels and mirror attachments. Compared to the standard 997.2 GT3 RS, the 4.0 version sports front dive planes for additional downforce to accommodate a more aggressively angled rear wing. The factory 19” center-lock wheels come dressed with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires from 2014 and the full exterior has been treated with Suntek protective film and ceramic coating. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The interior is finished in Black leather and Red Alcantara including carbon-fiber bucket seats and special lightweight door panels with red pull straps. The optional Extended Carbon Package came equipped from the factory as well as Alcantara trim for the sun visors and rear center console. The storage bin lid features an optional embossed Porsche crest and a serialized limitation plaque is located above the glovebox designated as #447. A painted roll bar was installed by the original owner and a complete list of factory options can be found below:
The specially developed 4.0-liter flat-six Mezger engine utilizes a crankshaft from the GT3 RSR race car as well as forged pistons, titanium connecting rods, a free-flowing sport exhaust, and modified air intake. Reaching 0-60 MPH in approximately 3.5 seconds, the engine sends 500 HP and 339 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Standard performance features include specialized gear ratios, a single-mass flywheel, a limited-slip differential, Dynamic Engine Mounts, and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). This example was also optioned with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and Sport Chrono Package Plus. Accompanying service records show routine maintenance at the seller’s local Porsche dealership.
This sale will include a clean title.

To put the car back to stock, AKA remove the cage, are any of the panels damaged or cut into from when it was installed?
- roll cage came with when we purchased, its bolt on and can be removed and nothing is cut into or welded
Any service history that you can share with us - I don't see anything listed on the carfax or posted in the gallery but you say it was serviced annually at the Porsche dealer?
- we took it to Porsche initially and afterwards we did all service in house, we are an authorized Porsche repair center and have done annual fluid changes. The car has never been tracked and purchased as a collectible
For vehicle compliance/admissibility to the US, do you know what the cluster swap costs and do you have the letter of compliance?

I have a very similar version but with black interior and silver wheels - it’s an amazing execution of modern analog driving - the 911 version of a carrera gt is the best way I can put it. I love mine and it’s going to make someone quite happy. GLWS
