Up for auction is this 2011 Porsche 997.2 Carrera GTS presented in Aqua Blue Metallic over a black leather and Alcantara interior. As Porsche’s top-of-the line Carrera model, the GTS offers an ideal balance of luxury and performance. Equipped with front-end paint protection film, this handsomely configured GTS is said to be in superb overall condition while showing approximately 40k miles on the odometer.
This GTS is finished in the rarely seen color of Aqua Blue Metallic. The paint is noted to be in excellent condition with clear protective film applied over the front bumper, fenders and halfway up the hood. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. Exterior highlights include silver GTS side model designations and factory RS Spyder center lock wheels which come dressed in new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Inside, this GTS is appointed with a black leather and Alcantara interior featuring Adaptive Sport Seats with painted backrests. The cabin is said to be in exemplary condition and the seller confirms that no modifications have been made with the exception of an aftermarket satellite radio receiver. This 997.2 is equipped with the following exclusive options:
This 997.2 carries a naturally aspirated direct fuel-injected 3.8 L flat-six engine rated at 408 HP. A 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission directs power to the rear wheels making for a 0-60 time of approximately 4 seconds. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus allows the driver to optimize performance characteristics with the press of a button. This GTS is said to have undergone all scheduled maintenance and the seller notes that a fresh oil service and pre-delivery inspection will be carried out upon sale.
The sale of this 997.2 will include a set of two keys, owner’s books and service records. This is a fantastic opportunity to own one of the most desirable 997 models on the road.

I have the exact same radar install in my GTS. It’s awesome! Good luck with the sale. I love this unique color.
@Unclebob59 spectacular looking car.
Bid in the amount of $40,997
You can still
Verify the VIN because regardless it’s on the Canadian sticker as well as on the windshield. It’s a US car so maybe everyone should stop making a big deal out if it.
I’m bidding on an air cooled ending today, I already own a GTS and it’s a fantastic automobile. Good luck to future owner.
@jaynar @9teen71 @Unclebob59, Just an FYI the US vin. sticker on my 996 is on the lower section of the door it's self. Just as, jaynar & 9teen71, mentioned. GLWTA.
@9teen71 Yup I looked up another 2011 and it’s on the bottom of the driver’s side door! I had one just don’t remember. Also had a few 993’s and that VIN decal is where this one has the Canadian label so who knows...will find out in the AM!
@Unclebob59 make sure it's not located towards the very bottom of the driver side door itself.
@golfinz In states that do a VIN verification prior to registration such as California yes it does matter.
Maybe slightly ignorant, but if this car is already registered in the US, does it matter if it has the Canadian vin sticker over the US vin sticker?
@Unclebob59 Hopefully you get some sort of answer before the end of auction!
@9teen71 I’ll talk to my dealership, I also have good relationships in Atlanta at Porsche, thank you for the input
VIN labels can be specially ordered and replaced, but the dealership's parts or service manager will not have the authority to do it on their own. Porsche factory field rep will have to be involved. Takes a little while, so you must be patient. Couple months last time I tried.
Not your fault at all, but some other dumb individual. I've seen other cars that went back and fourth from Canada and they put their decal in another spot, not over the original :(
I wonder if a body shop can order you another one or the dealer? I'm sure it's a hell of a process. (insert I don't know emoji).
@jaynar I hate this is the case but I’m reluctant to destroy both decals to try to get to the one
@Unclebob59 I've never seen a situation like this where the Original VIN decal is covered, whoever applied the Canadian label over it is a complete moron. Do you think it would peel off? It would be a huge problem to get the VIN verification done in California...I understand it was US car to begin with...
@jaynar The original is covered, see page 66 of the images. The vehicle started its life in AZ as a US vehicle
Bid in the amount of $36,500
Bid in the amount of $34,200
@9teen71 yes of course, thank you for the question, helps clarify for everyone
Clean title in hand?
Bid in the amount of $33,911
@J4patlev Those are Sebro (OEM) slotted rotors. I chose to install those over the cross drilled
@DB88 Thank you for your bid and interest
@jaynar This is a US vehicle, I’m sorry there is no picture of the VIN label, I’m out of town and back tonight, I will post that first thing in the morning along with the actual
The new brake rotors appear to be a different model than the stock ventilated discs. Could you share any detail into the model used?
I don’t see a picture of the original VIN decal is that on the door? The Canadians didn’t apply their decal over the original? Hope not...
Bid in the amount of $32,997
@jas Thank you
Wow this is a nice spec 997. Beautiful color. And bonus points for the 9500ci, looks to be a really clean install there. Good luck with the sale!
@9teen71 no paintwork that I know of and more importantly no evidence on the vehicle, I asked the prior owner the same question and received the same assurance, I had the car inspected by Porsche of Nashville and German Performance Options here in Nashville. As to why I’m selling, I have a new 718 Spyder arriving in August and I have a few too many Porsches in the stable, a 2018 GT2RS, a 2007 GT3RS that I acquired this year, a Cayman R, a 1997 Targa, my wife’s pride and joy, just need to make a little room and pass this fine vehicle on to another loving owner. The fob on the key is for the radar detector
Hello! Just a few questions. Any paintwork that you know of? Is that a remote start fob in the picture with the keys? Last, why are you selling it? Thank you
@SSTwin @SSTwin, I’ve owned the car since September of 2019, I’m the 3rd or 4th owner, hard to tell from the carfax. The previous owner used to do DE in the car, I do not track my cars, I prefer going to the Atlanta Porsche Experience with my son and tracking Porsche’s cars
Very nice. How long have you owned it? Any track? How many previous owners? Thanks, love the color!
@GT3FZS thank you
Nice GTS.
