Finished in the Paint to Sample color of Polar Silver Metallic, this 2011 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S Coupe features a Sea Blue interior as well as an optional painted center console, SportDesign steering wheel, aluminum-trimmed gear selector and brake handles, heated and ventilated seats, Sport Chrono Package Plus, a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, 19” 911 Turbo II wheels, and more. The previous owner was a PCA member who acquired the car in February of 2021 and added approximately 13k miles during his ownership. This Carrera 4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee while showing just over 31k miles on the odometer and accompanied by a transferrable service contract.
The 4S model features wider bodywork than a standard Carrera as well as red-painted brake calipers and a unique reflector band spanning between the taillights. This example was ordered in the optional Paint to Sample color of Polar Silver Metallic, a classic Porsche color of the 1990s. It rides on optional 19” 911 Turbo II wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The seller notes a layer of clear paint protection film is applied over the leading edge of the nose and protective screens are installed in the front radiator grilles. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Sea Blue interior is complemented by a factory-exclusive Polar Silver Metallic painted center console and gear selector surround as well as an aluminum-trimmed gear selector and handbrake lever. It features optional heated and ventilated front seats, the Infotainment Package, BOSE Surround Sound System, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM) 3.0 with an Extended Navigation Module and XM Satellite Radio receiver. The seller notes an aftermarket phone mount has been installed and all electronics and accessories are working properly.
This 997.2 derives up to 385 HP from a naturally aspirated and direct fuel-injected 3.8-liter flat-six engine. All four wheels are driven by way of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. Using the launch control function and Sport Plus mode included with the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, the Carrera 4S accelerates from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.3 seconds. All routine maintenance is said to have been kept up to date and a recent pre-purchase inspection was completed at Porsche Nashville. A transferrable service contract provides maintenance coverage through 2/21/2025 or 45k miles.
This sale will include the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for checking out our 997 C4S. This is a rare PTS Polar Silver car in outstanding condition both cosmetically and mechanically. This original car also comes with a transferable service contract for added peace of mind.”

@ryangfriedman congrats Ryan!
I owned a 2012 GTS (997.2) 911 and Polar Silver was not a PTS color. It's a great shade of silver nonetheless.
PAINT to SAMPLE on a 997.2 C4S! I remember when holt had this car and sold it to Richard horowoitz -always wanted it. The subtle Pts cars are rarer and harder to find than the green and orange Pts cars! This is an awesome one - I’m happy I through the Hail Mary!

@Gbrown72, Absolutely no paint, no body work. Unfortunately, it didn’t make it back from Porsche service in time for me to photograph meter readings. I didn’t expect the PPI / repairs to take over a week.
I assume no paint or body work has been done. Did not see any paint meter readings.
@Carrerafan, Yes, the grill protectors are easily removable without damaging the car. I bet! Polar Silver is a fantastic color, especially when paired with a Sea Blue leather interior :)
@Ruf1 do those grill protector things come out easily? Love the colors, miss my polar silver 993 4s!
Less than an hour to go! Thanks for all of the constructive comments. Keep the great bids coming and this rare C4S coupe in classic PTS Polar Silver Metallic could have a new owner this afternoon.

@fjthomas427, Clock repair has been authorized by the Axiom Service Agreement rep under warranty. Porsche Nashville has not completed the repairs yet, but they should completed any day. I am uploading pics of the windshield chips. They are very minor but I have no problem having them professionally filled / refinished for the winning bidder.
At this point has the clock been repaired? Also, have you had the windshield repaired?
@Zingerman82, I wasn't aware the clock was inop until receiving the inspection report. I have asked the dealer to turn it into Axiom for warranty repair. Axiom is sending their "inspector" to verify the clock is inop, once that happens, it looks like it the repairs will be covered by the service contract.
@poiboy, I have not picked up the car from the dealer but I will make sure to have pictures of the chip uploaded well before the auction ends. I did speak with the service advisor who said there are two very small chips that in his opinion have no chance of turning into cracks. Porsche Nashville does a very thorough inspection. This inspection is the same they use for their Certified Pre-Owned Porsche's.
Hi Ruf1, once you have the car back in your possession, can you tell me what you think might be wrong with the clock where it failed inspections. Is it simply just not working?
@poiboy, Thank you! I haven’t made it over to Porsche to pick up the car. I wasn’t aware of the chip in the windshield. I will take it pictures once I pick up.
Hello from California ! Beautiful car ! the report indicated a chip in the windshield, do you have a picture ? or share details ?
@Ruf1 Thank you, this is very helpful. I'll ring my local dealers to see if they have accepted payment from Axiom for work. Axiom seems to have a reasonably good track record of covering repairs from what I've just read.
@Zingerman82, Apologies, I missed your service contract question. The contract is managed by Axiom. To my knowledge any Porsche dealer will accept. Nashville Porsche is a Sonic Automotive dealership. I would think if they will accept Axiom, any other Porsche dealer would but that’s just my thought. The coverage level is Platinum which is their highest coverage level. Stated deductible is $250.
@Ruf1 Thank you. Any thoughts on the warranty question I added below?
@Zingerman82, I understand, it’s difficult to tell in the pics. The steering wheel is Sea Blue.
One more question and I'm sorry because it's quite difficult to tell in the pictures. Is the SportDesign steering wheel also covered in the Sea Blue leather or is it covered in plain black leather. Thank you.
Ruf1, can you tell me a little bit more about the transferrable service contract? Is that service contract provided by Porsche? If so, can it be exercised at other Porsche dealerships outside of Porsche Nashville?
Really interested in seeing the results of the PPI/CPO Inspection.
@Azgu238, The tires are Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, two were replaced this past March. I don't have records for the other two. They all passed Porsche's PPI/CPO inspection. I will post date codes once I have picked the car up from Porsche Nashville.
@Ruf1; please tell us about the tires....brand, date codes, approx time of installation. Thanks
@Richbob, You are correct. They were an oversight on my my part. One of them has Rennline stamped on it. They look to be available on the Rennline website.
I don't believe the pedal covers and dead pedal cover are stock - any idea where they came from?
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@Ruf1 Thank you for answering my questions. When you have it, can you send over the Porsche Nashville inspection? Would love to review. Thank you.
@Zingerman82, Thanks for your interest in our car. (1) Unfortunately, I do not have records showing whether the plugs were replaced at the 30k service interval. I just had the car inspected at Porsche Nashville, they didn't mention anything about the plugs in their report. I will upload a copy of the inspection report once I have it in hand. (2) The seats are not the sport version, however they are heated / ventilated. (3) There are no known performance mods to the car. The only known modifications are as listed in the ad, they are: PPF film on the nose, hood, front fenders, mirrors, door handles and the common rock guard location on the rear fenders. Protective screens on the front radiator grilles and a phone holder on the console.
Hi, had a few questions.
1. Were the plugs were replaced during the 30k Service?
2. Can you tell me if the seats are the Normal Standard or Sport Standard variation?
3. Has the car been modded in any way?
kind regards,
Zingerman82
