This 2011 Porsche 997.2 Carrera Coupe is finished in Carrara White over a Black interior and features a 6-speed manual transmission paired with its 3.6-liter engine as well as an optional limited-slip rear differential lock. It was sold new from Park Place Porsche of Bellevue, Washington, and has been under the current ownership for the past 5 years. The car has been modified with lower European-spec springs, an FVD Stage 3 tune, a full M&M race exhaust, BMC air filters, slotted brake rotors, and a Function-First Shift-Right Solution ball bearing shifter kit. It has also been recently serviced with new GT3 RS engine and transmission mounts, refinished wheels and tailpipes, a new battery, brakes, and taillights. This 997.2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing approximately 73k miles on the odometer.

This Carrera Coupe is finished in Carrara White and rides on 19” Carrera S “Lobster Claw” wheels dressed in 6-year-old Bridgestone Potenza tires. The wheels and tailpipes were powder coated in black by Wheel Doctors in Miami, Florida in 2023 and new OEM taillights were installed in in December 2022. The brake calipers are painted red and the car has been fitted with clear European-spec side marker lights and upgraded LED bulbs. The seller notes a tire rub mark to the right rear-end was repaired and appears as minor damage on the CARFAX report in 2021. The driver’s side door was refinished to address a paint chip and some minor signs of road-going wear are noted on the hood and front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report.

The Black interior includes leather seats, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, and Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The shifter has been upgraded with a Function-First Shift-Right Solution kit as well as an aftermarket white gear knob and an Alcantara boot with deviated stitching. The seller notes one air vent adjuster tab has broken off and the cabin remains in very good condition with all gauges and accessories working properly.

The naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine was rated at 345 HP and 287 lb.-ft of torque stock and drives the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional limited-slip rear differential lock. The car’s power has been increased with an FVD Stage 3 ECU tune, BMC air filters, and an M&M full racing exhaust featuring equal-length long-tube headers and a merged X-pipe in the mid-section. The car also features lower European-spec OEM springs, solid stainless-steel shifter cables, and new Frozen slotted rotors paired with Hawk 5.0 Race brake pads. The seller adds that the engine and transmission mounts have been recently upgraded with new GT3 RS spec parts and the braking system received new Castrol SRF fluid within the last 500 miles.

This sale will include the original exhaust headers and catalytic converters, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, an air pump, a car cover, some documentation, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “In 2011, a 911 C2 6 Speed 997.2 was purchased from Park Place in Bellevue, WA and has been under current ownership for 5 years. There are service records for the past 5 years, which can be seen in the pictures. The current owner is a friend of mine from PCA parties, and he asked me to handle the sale because I recently sold my blue car on PCARMARKET and he knows that I am familiar with his car. He has taken good care of the car for the past 5 years, and all service has been done ahead of Porsche’s recommended schedule. The car has been kept in a garage in WA and in his garage in FL, so it has not been exposed to excessive sun as he works from home. The interior looks new, just as shown in the pictures. The car is a base 911 Carrera 2 with a 6-speed manual transmission and 350 horsepower according to Porsche. I have driven it enough to trust it, and it is a fun and fast car. Despite having lower power, it still performs exceptionally well due to its analog and lightweight nature. The shifter has been improved with new bushings in brass and cable ends, resulting in better shifting compared to my 13 Carrera S and even my GT4. It feels amazing to drive, partially thanks to having the correct Mobile 1, 75w 90 Synthetic in the gearbox/transaxle.  The 997.2 features from the factory are an 82mm big throttle body, hill hold assist, and factory LED tail lights. The engine and transaxle mounts have been upgraded to GT RS spec, which tightens things up without making the ride rough. The car doesn’t jerk around when taking off. The brakes have been upgraded with all-new slotted then Frozen Rotors, (see frozenrotors.com) along with new Hawk performance street pads. The car stops quickly, like now. While there is some brake dust, it has been greatly reduced due to the hard rotors and pads. This is a significant upgrade in my opinion and based on past experience. It may be overkill if you never go to DE’s (Driver Education events), but they will last a long time on the street. Additionally, all new fluid Castrol SRF was added less than 4 months and 500 miles ago. The car is being sold with an M&M full racing exhaust imported by FVD out of Pompano Beach. It consists of equal-length long tube headers and a merged X-pipe in the mid-section. It may not be ideal for phone conversations, but it sounds amazing when you’re driving it and want to hear the engine. Some original parts are included with the sale, although not all of them. As for the engine tune, I don’t know much about it, but the owner states that the exhaust, intake, and tune work well together and have improved the car’s performance. From my perspective, having driven a 400HP Carrera S and a GT4 running on VP 93 pure gas, I can say that this car is definitely awake. The new redline is 7700 rpm and it loves to rev after the motor switches over to the VarioCam. Recent work done this year include new engine mounts, transmission mount, 19” lobster wheels and tailpipes were professionally refinished by Wheel Doctors in Miami, FL. A new Deka Battery was installed 3 months ago, new rain-x wipers this month, brand new Frozen rotors (slotted) and Hawk 5.0 Race brake pads.  Brand new tail lights from Porsche were installed in December 2022. The car has been tastefully modified by the most recent owner.  This vehicle is lowered on Porsche ROW (rest of the world) springs approximately 1.25” lower than factory US spec (non-pasm car).  A stage 3 tune from FVD consisting of full M&M race exhaust, BMC air filters and engine remapping. The factory shifter is gone, a shift right solutions kit with all the bushings and cable ends are in.  New stainless steel brake lines. European spec clear turn signals with LED bulbs. This car is pushing 385 horsepower and weighs in at 3025 pounds, about 50 less with the exhaust modification. The 997.2 C2 manual is the lightest possible configuration available. This is the final year of the infamous square bore 3.6 boxer engine featuring DFI which eliminated any IMS or RMS failure issues.  This is the most bulletproof Porsche produced in recent years. The vehicle comes with a Porsche 997 specific exterior cover, factory headers with catalytic converters and a My Genius flash tool to set the car back to factory or stage 2 tune for emissions if necessary. Also included are an extra set of the mesh screens that are for the factory Porsche airbox (sound upgrade on this car).”
