Acquired by the seller in 2021 from Euro Motorcar Mercedes-Benz of Bethesda, Maryland, this G55 is now being offered for auction out of New Jersey with approximately 56k miles showing in the odometer.
This G55 is finished in Deep Black (9040) and distinguishes itself from a standard G-Class by its stainless-steel AMG side-exit exhaust pipes, chrome lower bumper trim, AMG-branded body moldings, and V8 Kompressor badging on the front fenders. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with washers, front and rear fog lights, a power-operated sunroof with a lift function, rear parking sensors, a rear cargo door-mounted covered spare tire, and the Stainless-Steel Exterior Package. A set of black-finished aftermarket 20” G63-style wheels have been mounted with 15mm rear wheel spacers and BFGoodrich tires. The seller adds that the brush guard has been removed, and the factory 19" wheels will accompany the sale. Minor paint flaws are noted, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in Designo black leather, accented by Designo natural grain maple trim that lines the center console, steering wheel, and door panels. Amenities include a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a silver-accented AMG instrument cluster, a rearview camera and parking assist system, AMG-branded door sills, carpeted floor mats, a Harman-Kardon Logic 7 Surround Sound System, and a COMAND infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation. The seller notes light wear, and all gauges, accessories, and electronics are confirmed to be working properly, with no warning lights illuminated.
Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter M113K V8 engine featuring all-aluminum construction and dual intercoolers, the G55 AMG sends up to 500 HP and 516 lb.-ft. of torque to all four wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a full-time all-wheel-drive system. This system comprises independently locking front, center, and rear differential that are controlled via switches on the center stack, while the vehicle's suspension features solid front and rear axles and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP). Recent service is said to include an oil change, the installation of new brake rotors, and the replacement of the belts, filters, and brake fluid. Additional maintenance reportedly included a transmission, transfer case, and differential service, as well as a secondary air injection pump and an auxiliary coolant pump.
This sale will include a spare tire, the original factory 19” wheels, and a clean title.

The vehicle began its life in CA before moving outside DC which we call the “South” here in NJ. Can’t speak for previous owner but if it was treated the same as the current owner then it would have been a garage kept 3rd vehicle for nice days / special occasions.
Quick math on carfax shows previous owner averaged ~3k miles a year so that may be a fair assumption.
To your point, there are some less than ideal examples out there. I can attest to this as current owner passed on half a dozen 55’s & 63’s that I looked over with him. This was by far the cleanest one we came across and luckily had the M113k.
How did this G live in MD and NJ and not get corrosion? Undercarraige does not look like something in the Northeast.

@joela service records under current ownership uploaded, i can not attest to what the previous owner did with this vehicle. as far as paint goes, there is no paint work and the paint meter clearly shows that, im not sure what you are referring to

A few more questions. It looks very clean underneath for a vehicle that had been in Maryland. What do you know about that, did the previous owner not drive it in winters?
The paint meter reading seem to show repaint of hood and windshield frame ( a common corrosion are on G Wagens. What do you know about that?
