Available for auction is this 2011 BMW E93 M3 Convertible finished in Space Grey Metallic over a Bamboo Beige Novillo leather interior. The first and only M3 to have been equipped with a V8, the E90/92/93 series are beloved by enthusiasts for their high-revving naturally aspirated engines. The open roof variant, the E93, was BMW’s first model to use a retractable hardtop. This 2011 example was acquired by the seller in 2017 at 34k miles and is said to have remained garage kept since while receiving regular service through Peter Pan BMW of Burlingame, California. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing just under 54k miles on its odometer.
This M3 comes finished in Space Grey Metallic with a power retractable convertible hardtop and the optional Comfort Access features which allows the roof to be raised and lowered using the key fob. All fourth-generation M3s can be identified by their broader wheel arches, front fender vents, aggressive fascias, flared side skirts, aluminum power dome hood, quad exhaust tips, and rear decklid spoiler. The seller notes that the finish remains in excellent overall condition and has provided a collection of details that can be found in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX. Additional features include adaptive xenon headlights, rain-sensing wipers, Shadowline trim, black finished kidney grilles, and smoked front side markers. It rides on a set of forged 19″ Style 220 wheels which come dressed in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires from 2017.
The cabin is trimmed in Bamboo Beige Novillo leather with deeply bolstered heated sport seats, a leather-wrapped three-spoke M-Sport multifunction steering wheel, M3 aluminum door sills, and Carbon Leather trim on the dashboard, center console, and doors. Amenities include power-folding mirrors, a digital compass mirror, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The seller notes that the cabin remains in excellent condition and confirms that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated high-compression S65 4.0-liter V8 engine that generates up to 414 HP at a redline of 8,300 RPM. The rear wheels are driven through an M-DCT 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with a Variable M Differential Lock. Compared with a standard 3-Series the M3 receives larger brakes, stiffer rubber bushings, shorter and stiffer springs, and larger anti-roll bars. The CARFAX includes 15 service history entries dating back as far as 2011. The seller notes that the battery discharge light is periodically illuminated, but goes out within a few minutes of driving.
This sale will include a clean title.

Hi Dipdog54, do you have a copy of the window sticker that you could post please?

looking at pic #1 and pic #2 the front hood's panel gaps are clearly off..... the driver's side is about 1/2" wider than the passenger side
This has obviously been a daytime soap opera of a listing. I went ahead and got the bidding back going. Seems like a nice car. GLWS
Any videos of hardtop retracting and closing? And videos of cold start? Drive? Does the AC work?

@GlennG The listing has been updated, thank you.
@PCARMARKET I see the listing was corrected to show that this car does not have the comp pack but it still states this car has the Cold Weather Package and the Technology package.
The listing description should be corrected to accurately reflect that this car does not have these two packages.
May I POLITELY note that this E93 does not appear to have "an upgraded sound system" as claimed in the listing. In 2011, the option code for the only available upgraded sound system was 752 "Enhanced Premium Sound" which most of us referred to Logic 7. The Technology Package did not include 752 (happy to share the official ordering guide), it was a stand-alone option. The speakers in the photos are those of the base system, which BMW optimistically called "Hi Fi stereo" but which actually sounded like rubbish.
In 2011 the Technology Package code was ZTP and it included 223 Electronic Damping Control, 2MD M Drive, 322 Comfort Access and 609 Navigation. As others have noted, there is a blank on the console where the EDC button should reside, and there is no mention of it on the build sheet another poster provided, so i believe the original owner built her with individual options, not the ZTP, and neglected to spec EDC.
It's a shame because my 2008 E93 M3 was one of the greatest cars I ever had, and I would have been tempted to bid on this one if the seller wasn't so veracity-challenged.
@PCARMARKET thanks for the reply. My comments were simply that no e93 came with the competition package one can easily verify this by running the VIN, which I did and posted the options in a subsequent comment and the seller should not bash potential bidders who are trying to correct the error in the listing description.
@Bruno911 fair point. Please repost your valid points pertaining to the car leaving any animosity or thrashing to the seller out of it. This is the sellers first auction and we are going to have a conversation about the conduct so we can conclude this in a positive way.
@PCARMARKET why were my and @NA2’s comments deleted? We were factual in our remarks about the car not having the competition package and we said nothing derogatory.
Also, by deleting the seller’s rude and disgusting replies you’re robbing any new bidders of the transparency of knowing the type individual they are potentially buying a car from. As the old adage goes, you’re buying the seller as much as the car. I doubt anyone who has read the seller’s now-deleted comments would feel comfortable buying a car from this person. I know you want to salvage this auction but at what expense of your reputation? I suppose this comment will probably get deleted as well.
We are fact checking the competition pkg and will update the listing. We appreciate the community pointing it out. Anyone who resorts to name calling and malicious commenting will have their account suspended effective immediately. We have zero tolerance for that on the platform. This includes the seller. Prior comments containing this type of text have been edited and / or removed. There is always a tactful way to get a point across and we ask all to respect that.

Cars with the comp pack came with EDC. As you can clearly see in pic 42, the EDC button which would be located between the PWR and tcOFF buttons next to the shifter is not there. It's just a blank. This car doesn't have the comp pack and as others already said, no convertibles did. Seller should fix the listing instead of arguing with bidders who are more educated about this car than he is.
Can I see a picture of the sticker?
@NA2 anyone can just google it and will find out for themselves
@NA2 it clearly states on the sticker that it did indead come with competition package
the e93 M3 was never available with the competition package and this car does not have it
Hello bidders and welcome..I'll be checking in often to answer any questions you might have on my m3 ..thnx
