One of only 1,740 examples initially sold in the U.S., this 2011 Alpina B7 is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over Oyster leather upholstery. The fourth generation Alpina B7 is based upon the short-wheelbase BMW F01 7-Series and features a unique aerodynamic package, an Alpina-tuned suspension, and a special hand-built version of BMW’s twin-turbocharged N63 V8 engine that produces up to 500 HP. Having represented the most luxurious and exclusive sedan in BMW’s lineup, this Alpina B7 is now being offered for auction out of Maryland showing approximately 56k miles on the odometer.

This B7 wears Black Sapphire Metallic paint and factory 21” Alpina wheels shod in staggered-width Pirelli P-Zero tires. Alpina-specific styling includes an Alpina-branded front bumper, a unique rear bumper with quad exhaust outlets, and Alpina B7 badging on the rear decklid. Aftermarket carbon fiber air intakes have been installed and removable tints have been applied to the windows. Some small paint chips are present on the hood and the decorative engine cover is missing, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this B7 sports an Oyster Nappa leather interior offering amenities like heated and ventilated front seats, power window sunshades, and an iDrive multimedia interface with optional voice controls. Rear passenger amenities include automatic dual-zone climate control and heated seats. Details unique to the B7 include Alpina illuminated door sills, a metal production plate on the center console, and a heated leather-wrapped multi-function Alpina steering wheel that sits ahead of signature blue-faced Alpina gauges, including a 200-MPH speedometer and a 7k-RPM tachometer. The seller notes that an interior door handle has been repaired with glue.

This F01-based Alpina B7 utilizes a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 internally designated as the N63 engine. Compared with the standard BMW unit, this Alpina-tuned V8 features twin 44mm Honeywell turbochargers, reinforced cylinder heads, NGK spark plugs, high-performance MAHLE pistons, and Alpina-specific engine programming. It produces up to 500 HP and 516 lb.-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via a 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission. Stopping power is handled by front and rear ventilated disc brakes with rotors measuring 14.7" and 14.6" respectively. The CARFAX report shows an oil and filter service in August of 2022 as well as new engine mounts, pinion seals, and a brake fluid flush in 2019.

The sale of this vehicle will include a clean title (lien).

Btw, I have a correct spare oem 2011-14 Alpina B7 engine cover, in excellent condition, if the auction winner or seller is interested. Not uber-pricey, though hard to find in nice shape.

@Duke_dallas Tracking down this answer. The previous owner's father owned a BMW dealership so I know everything he did to the car was top-notch and done right.

I had a 2007 and it was the most fun car I have owned. Breakneck response from the throttle on the highway. Of course, I never exceeded the posted limit...I'll get the bidding started.

  • Duke_dallas (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

Yeah, it may be the case that the engine cover wouldn’t fit with aftermarket intakes. I see the strut tower brace bar things were also removed, presumably to make room for the intakes. Any idea on the brand of the intakes and exhaust?

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

@Duke_dallas It has an after-market exhaust upgrade from the catalytic converter back. I have two key FOB's.

  • Duke_dallas (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

So does this have a full aftermarket exhaust? Trying to understand the fob that opens up the exhaust. And do you have 2 keys for the car?

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

@tpeifley I added two pics for the impacted glued area.

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

    @GrpNorCalBMWguy @Grp5CSLxPTGgts tires installed at 51,100 miles.

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

@tpeifley The engine cover was never with this car since it's been in MD. Techs are unsure it would fit given the current engine configuration. The little FOB opens up the exhaust system and it actually boosts HP. Tires were installed at 51,100 miles so less than 5k on them.

Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

@Firewood I'm going to check with the place I bought it from about the engine cover. It is pictured as I bought it. The FOB just opens up the exhaust and makes it louder. Cooler I guess?! I'll check on the technical explanation on it as well.

  • Firewood (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

Hi. Nice B7. I think Duke_dallas is referring to the missing black & silver Alpina-badged engine cover, which sits top of engine, and covers the center components. I don't understand that fob, can you clarify? Changes exhaust sound? How? Thanks & glwta!

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

@GrpNorCalBMWguy @Grp5CSLxPTGgts I believe so but not 100% sure. The tread is still very good.

  • GrpNorCalBMWguy (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

Original tires still on the car?

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

@Duke_dallas 500 is correct. Are you referencing the "belly pan" when you ask about the engine cover? I'll get a close up pic of the glued piece. The FOB is for exhaust. Just makes it louder (and more impressive?!)

  • Duke_dallas (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

HP is listed as 540 in the first paragraph and 500 later. 500 is correct for this model year. Safe to assume you don't have the missing engine cover? What is the fob in pic #83 and how many keys come with the car? Is the glue repair shown in one of the pics? Thanks.

  • tpeifley (seller) 2 yearsago

I love driving this car and you will to. It's a "beast" as described by so many who see it and so fun to drive. I'll answer any questions at least twice a day. Tim
