This R8 represents one of 1,145 examples sold in the United States for 2011 and features a 430 HP V8 engine paired with a rare 6-speed gated manual transmission. Finished in Phantom Black Pearl, this example includes optional carbon fiber interior and engine compartment inlays as well as 19” titanium-finished wheels. Sold new in California and recently brought to Illinois, this Spyder is now being offered for auction with approximately 32k miles on the odometer.
This R8 is finished in Phantom Black Pearl with a black convertible soft top. Optional features include LED headlights, carbon fiber engine compartment inlays, and 19” titanium-finished alloy wheels. Standard equipment consists of LED taillights and daytime running lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and integrated exhaust outlets. The seller notes minor curb rash is present on the wheels along with some paint imperfections at the rear bumper and driver quarter panel. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2021.
Inside, the cabin is appointed with black leather and matching microsuede upholstery along with optional carbon Sigma trim inlays. Additional options include the Audi Navigation System Plus and the Convenience Package which adds a rear-view camera, hill-hold assist, and auto-dimming heated folding outside mirrors. Standard interior features include 10-way power and heated sport seats, climate control, and a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel framing a 220-MPH speedometer and an 8,000 RPM redline tachometer.
Beneath the rear hatch lies a 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine which generates up to 420 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels through a gated 6-speed manual transmission and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Factory equipment includes a dry-sump lubrication system, magnetic ride adaptive damping system, double wishbone front and rear suspension, and 8-piston front brake calipers with 4-piston calipers at the rear. The CARFAX report shows previous dealer maintenance entries and recent service including an oil and filter change and tire pressure sensor replacement in November of 2022.
