The 987.2 generation Porsche Cayman was updated with a larger 2.9-liter flat-six engine. Featuring a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2010 example comes finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over Black upholstery. Showing approximately 38k miles on the odometer, this Cayman is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
This example comes finished in Meteor Grey Metallic and features optional 19” Carrera S II wheels with colored Porsche crested center caps. Details include integrated front fog lights, side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and a center-mounted exhaust outlet. The seller adds that the front tires remain in great condition, while the rear Continental Extreme Contact tires are new. A few minor paint imperfections are noted, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Black standard leather upholstery. Optional equipment includes front seat heating and ventilation, seat belts in Silver, automatic climate control, a Bluetooth interface, Universal Audio Interface, and floor mats with colored trim. The 2.9-liter flat-six sends as much as 265 HP and 221 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission with an optional limited-slip differential. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH can be achieved in approximately 5.5 seconds, while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes and ventilated discs at each corner. The seller states an oil service and coolant flush was recently completed at a certified Porsche facility, and a coolant line has been replaced.

She and her husband were both Porsche enthusiasts until he passed away, so she sold the 2010 Cayman through PCA. I believe I am the fourth or fifth owner. I purchased it in October of 2020 with about 36,500 miles. It has been garage kept and I put on about 1850 miles.”

Of course- I will do a summation of the records with owners, dates and mileage outlined by this evening-
I will also upload new fog light photos, wiper cowl area and windshield hopefully by tomorrow as it is raining over this way into tomorrow morning as I hear it. I should be able to get it out of the garage by tomorrow early afternoon. I will also take and upload tire date photos. Rennsmith LLC completed two new rear tires last year 2-27-23/ Continental Extreme Contacts less than 1K miles on them. Also ***NO ***damage to the windshield or wiper area and absolutely no oil loss issues.
@68todd - maybe you could summarize the records that you do have and provide that to us. Also tire dates and rev report? Does the car use oil? Could you retake pic of the fog lights and also take pics of the bottom wiper/windshield areas? What is the condition of the windshield?

Yes I will have the number of owners update- The car originally was sold in the Houston TX area to the original owner- I do not have any ID or records on that owner other than the carfax entries. The Cayman is then held at a TX dealership for about a year as per the carfax. This dealer is listed as a separate owner but very limited miles were put on during that period. The true second owner is from the OK / Arkansas area. I do have the service records for the second and third owner. I purchased the Cayman off the third owner who listed the vehicle on the PCA site and she was in the Bellingham WA area. Please advise if you wish to have the service records I have from myself and the two prior owners sent for review-
Also no issues with the fog lights- must be the photo

Hello and thanks for your interest and questions. The minor lifter noise at initial cold start dissipates in a minute or two and is normal as per my local certified Porsche mechanic/ Rennsmith LLC/ Morris County NJ. Ken has worked on this Cayman for the past tow years- normal maintenance oil changes with the coolant line replacement just last month- coolant flush included.

Yes, the 2.9 is port.
No adjustable lumbar support on these seats. Also the PCarMarket description is incorrect regarding direct injection. The 2.9L engine is port injection.
