Available for auction is this 2010 Porsche 987.2 Boxster finished in Dark Blue Metallic over Sand Beige standard leather. This example is a custom order, one-owner car that has been regularly serviced its entire life by White Allen Porsche of Ohio. In addition to the factory optioned heated and ventilated seats, Boxster S II 18” wheels, and dual-clutch 7-speed PDK transmission, this 987 has been treated to a full custom sound system at a cost of over $5k. Now with approximately 22k miles showing on the odometer, this Boxster is being offered for auction by its original owner out of Dayton, Ohio.
The Dark Blue Metallic finish is said to be in very good condition and the seller reports this example to have been garage kept, covered, and never driven during winter. Clear paint protection film partially covers the front end as well as the mirror caps. The only noted imperfection is a very small chip on the front trunk lid above the PPF line, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. The windshield was previously replaced, and the Metropol Blue cabriolet top is said to be fully operational. The factory optioned Boxster S II wheels feature optional colored center crests and healthy Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Inside, the Sand Beige standard leather interior is said to be in very good condition with all accessories working properly. The sound system has been upgraded with a touchscreen Kenwood head unit, Linear power amp, a Sirius satellite navigation system, and Dynamat insulation throughout the cabin. Other factory options include heated and ventilated front seats, Sand Beige seatbelts, and automatic climate control. The orignal PCM 3.0 head unit will be included in the sale.
This 987.2 is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.9 L flat-six engine that develops 255 HP and 215 lb.-ft of torque. Equipped with a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission that drives the rear wheels, the sprint from 0 to 60 MPH is accomplished in approximately 5.8 seconds. The car is said to be in fantastic mechanical order with records available for all routine service completed through an authorized local Porsche dealer.
Included in this sale are two keys, a clean title, owner’s manuals, all service records, the original window sticker, factory PCM head unit, and photos from the original delivery of the car. Highlighting low mileage and an impeccably clean one-owner history, this 987 is ready to begin its journey with a new owner.

@smr68 Going to get some pictures uploaded today. Thank you!
Do you have any photos with the Metropol Blue Top up?
@manuals4ever The dynamat was added to enjoy and hear more of the stereo music and less vibration and distortion. Kinda a music buff and like to listen when on drives.

Hello, nice looking 987.2 you have up for auction.
Curious why you would add "Dynamat insulation throughout the cabin"?
Porsche factory insulation not enough?
Thanks

@Olsen The original tires were replaced after several trips to Deals Gap, NC Tail of the Dragon to experience all 318 curves and a 3 week trip to Alberta/British Columbia, Canada. The car was trailered to Montana, along with several motorcycles, left the trailers and took off for a 3 week trip to Banff, Jasper, and Kamloops. Tires were replaced after this trip and since then the miles have been local drives and PCA drives in the summer. The car is garaged, covered and on a battery tender by October 1st and not out until May 1st each year.
@Boots6 I am concerned about the need to replace the tires at 13K miles. I am a long term Porsche owner and my experience with tire wear was always quite different .
Help me understand!
I am very interested in your car and appreciate your willingness for my Ohio relative to see the car!
@smr68 Thank you, great question. PDK (DoppelKupplung) enables you to change gears manually.
1. The gear selector moves to the left, enabling you to change gears manually. Press forward to shift up, pull backward to shift down.
2. Paddle shift sports steering wheel has 2 paddle shifters. One press with the thumb and the PDK shifts up. One pull with the index finger and it shifts down. Either the right or the left paddle shifter can be used on the steering wheel.
Look closely to the picture of the steering wheel and you will see the silver paddle shifters.
One more note, even if the gear selector is set to automatic mode, you can still change gears manually using the paddles on the steering wheel.
Bid in the amount of $1,750
The CoA option list includes a 6 speed manual the photo and the narrative states Pdk? Please explain? Thanks
@Olsen Hello, thank you for the interest. All 4 tires were replaced at the time when the car had 13K miles. The tires do not have any sort of abnormal or excessive camber wear on the inside edges. I'm happy to show the car to your relative. Please use the Contact Seller button to coordinate a date and time. Thank you.
Tell me about the tire wear, particularly the rear tires inside edges....were all 4 tires changed at 13K?
Since I live in California.......
I would like a relative living near you to check it out...OK?
Bid in the amount of $1,500
@robertnixon Sorry, just saw you have photos of the CarFax
Looks like a nice car, I'd recommend posting photos of the maintenance records.
