It was purchased by the last owner in 2020 as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle before receiving a 50k-mile service, new tires, and a new clutch along with a Sharkwerks X-pipe and TechArt lowering springs. Showing just over 62k miles on the odometer, this C4S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
This 4S comes finished in Atlas Grey Metallic and features wide fenders, Sport Tailpipes, red-painted brake calipers, and a model-specific reflector band spanning between the taillights. The car has been lowered on TechArt springs and rides on factory 19” Carrera S II wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2020. Clear paint protective film has been applied over the hood, fenders, mirror covers, and roof in addition to an application of ceramic coating over the full exterior. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX showing an accident report in 2016.
Inside, the driver is greeted by a black full leather interior with heated Adaptive Sport Seats, exclusive Porsche crested headrests, and a storage bin cover embossed with the Carrera 4S logo. Other options include a Sport Shifter, Sport Chrono Package Plus, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. Some general signs of wear are present throughout the cabin, and a complete list of factory options is provided below:
This 997.2 is equipped with a direct fuel injected 3.8L flat-six engine that sends up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus was equipped from the factory along with the Sports Exhaust System, which is further enhanced by an aftermarket Sharkwerks X-pipe. Since 2020, this 997.2 has received a new clutch along with a major 50k-mile service including a brake fluid flush and four-wheel alignment. Corresponding invoices are provided in the gallery.
This sale will include the original tools, air pump, some service records, and a clean title (lien). For those in search of a 6-speed Porsche 997, this nicely equipped Carrera 4S Coupe is not to be overlooked.

@Rhygin Having had two G-50 3.2's and a 993 C4s AND a 8000 mile 997 2007 manual turbo....i now have a 997.2 manual coupe. When you see the prices of G-50 cars and 993's lately.....the "not so many" 997.2 MANUAL coupes are fairly hard to come by and certainly will increase in value over time as they are much better cars than either of the earlier air-cooled...now, as you know, they are all fun to drive and all have their own special feelings.....Good luck with the new one and DETAIL that Baby!
Excited... That was my max-max price so feeling a bit lucky. Looking forward to this 997.2. Sold my 1989 911 (w/G50) earlier in the fall to head this direction!
Sold for $65,500
Deal of the day! Full spec with full leather, sport chrono, sport seats, sport exhaust.....the seller cost himself a few thousand by not detailing the car......
Well bought, you will be thanking yourself in two years time!

Ok, I just got the car a nice and needed bath before the storm this weekend. The car is much cleaner than it was in the pictures here, the new owner will not be disappointed.. It's parked in back in my garage and tucked away until the auction ends.
Happy Bidding - I will as usual try to answer and questions as things wrap up here.
Figured I’d chime in here. I've seen the car in person, and it’s clean, and an awesome spec - color, wheels, exhaust, seats, dot-2, 3rd pedal - check all the boxes.. I’m a local 911 neighbor (991.2 GTS), and I’ve tried to get my friend here to take his out nearly every weekend since he took delivery - he hasn’t been able to make it happen - wife and 2 little ones...
@Rhygin The car was traded into to a Porsche dealership in Silver Spring MD (you can see from the maintenance records work was done there) then transferred to a Porsche dealership in Bethesda MD, where it was registered there, then traded in and bought by me. The Carfax can get cluttered up, and in my case, I didn't help with my short ownership due to my life situation being a bad time to own a car like this. I hope the next owner will keep her a long time!
I can't speak to other owners and why they sold but this car is very clean and drives like a 911 should. If you let go of the wheel, it tracks straight, shifts perfectly, pulls as it should, brakes hard, no creaks or rattles (besides riding like a 911). She is ready to go for a long time and there are no surprises.
I am trying to be very transparent. The car is not perfect (as I dont use the word "mint" lightly) but it is very solid mechanically and quite clean cosmetically.
That jumped fast! Any insights or visibility into the string of owners and why so many?

@JCC0016 haha good question!! No brainer
@Roadawg Great looking car and defeinately interested. Question though, why would you ever want to drive this car with the sport exhaust button turned off? ;-)
@pdebonis7 It has the module according to the spec sheet but cannot stream music via Bluetooth. I use the usb cable and it works great (plus better audio quality wired). You can certainly make calls however with the BT module.
Yes, the Sharkwerks X pipe retains the factory cats and is 100% emissions compliant as well as adding a noticeable improvement in sound. If you don't push the sports exhaust button on the dash, the sound is stock, but once you push the button the bypass engages and it sounds amazing, but with no drone or anything.
Like the color!
Does this have wireless bluetooth?
Is the catalytic converter still installed ?
Great spec on this car! Rare color too if you like it. The car with sport seats makes a huge difference for me appearance wise. And full leather to boot! GLWS, the next owner wont regret it.
@Roadawg appreciate the quick response.
@boglehead987 1) any additional details on the accident?
It occurred in a parking lot where the front bumper was resprayed. It was a topic of interest for me as well when I bought the car but it was entirely cosmetic and minor. Porsche has strict standards for the Certified used car program which eased my questions when I bought it as well.
2) how many keys does the car come with?
2 Keys. One of the fobs, is new as well.
3) do you have the manuals / books?
I have digital copies available.
4) did you get a PPI / over rev report when you bought it last month?
I bought the car from Porsche Bethesda and I had their service department go over the car but I don't have an over rev report. I encourage a PPI and anything the buyer needs to get checked out. Along those lines, because it was being sold at a very large volume Porsche dealership and wasn't auctioned, this also eased my mind. Typically, otherwise they would have auctioned it but it is very very clean so they sold it on their lot. The prior owner from 2020 worked at this same Porsche dealership, and owned it as his personal vehicle, where it was sold to me by the same dealership he works at. It's been kept "in the family".
5) what is the tread life on the tires?
I will get an official reading using a tire meter as soon as I can, but they have a ton of meat on them.
6) does the car have any odors / evidence of being smoked in?
Oh god no, that would have driven me nuts and I would have never bought it. This car is very clean.
7) is the reserve greater than the lien on the car?
Yes. I am also willing to pay off the car and clear the title if we have a deal but this may actually slow things down as it may take a few weeks for me to get it.
love the spec on this. a few questions for the seller:
1) any additional details on the accident?
2) how many keys does the car come with?
3) do you have the manuals / books?
4) did you get a PPI / over rev report when you bought it last month?
5) what is the tread life on the tires?
6) does the car have any odors / evidence of being smoked in?

thank you
@dukeyr The CPO warranty has expired but the car has a fair amount of recent maintenance so she is turn key and ready to roll.
when does the cpo expire?
I bought it last month with the intention of using it as a weekend car. But with my two (very little ) kids it has proven to be too impractical and nice even for this purpose. I will be back one day when I have a better situation to enjoy it. As beautiful as it is, I'd rather it go to a good home and enjoyed because all I would be able to really do is stare at it :)
how long have you owned the car?
Hello fellow Porsche fans! Thanks for taking the time to look at my 997 C4S.
Let me know if you have any questions! I'll be happy to clarify and answer as quickly as possible.
