Marking the second-generation Porsche 997 GT3, the 997.2 version introduced a larger 3.8-liter engine along with revised aerodynamics and styling. One of just 654 examples reportedly sold in the United States, this GT3 comes finished GT Silver Metallic over black full leather and features optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Dynamic Engine Mounts, Sport Chrono Package, Interior Carbon Package, seatbelts in Speed Yellow, instrument dials in Carrara White, Sport Bucket Seats, and more. It has been kept in climate-controlled storage as part of the esteemed Wilson Collection in Florida since new and is now being offered for auction with just over 14k miles on the odometer.
This 997.2 is finished in GT Silver Metallic with GT3-specific bodywork including a fixed rear wing, unique bumpers, and a central dual exhaust outlet. The car rides on factory 19” GT3 center-lock wheels dressed in original Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. An additional set of black-painted factory wheels and tires is said to accompany the sale as well. The seller states the front bumper was refinished after minor parking lot damage, and some small chips are noted on the wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is upholstered in black leather and Alcantara featuring optional Sport Bucket Seats, carbon fiber trim, instrument dials in Carrara White, and seatbelts in Speed Yellow. Other options include a footrest in aluminum, carbon fiber door sills with model insignias, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, a Carbon Package Switch Panel, and carbon fiber trim for the rear center console and belt outlet B-pillars. The driver is also provided with Sound Package Plus, a Universal Audio Interface, and Sport Chrono stopwatch dial in Carrara White. The seller notes one small crack in the carbon fiber center console.
Rated at 435 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six engine drives the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. The GT3 reaches 60 MPH from a standstill in approximately 4 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH. This example features optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and Dynamic Engine Mounts for an enhanced driving experience. An aftermarket RSS X-pipe exhaust has been installed as well. The seller states all routine service has been carried out as needed and there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include a clean title.

@WilsonCollection I was in the tour of your facility back in 2019 with the PCA parade and don't recall seeing this car. Sorry I missed it.
The collection was over the top.
@Dsgray16 , yes I have the full carbon package on mine but not the mirrors.
That's why I asked, not sure if I was missing out on something.
@PAEuros photos of the rockers and lower bumper have been added to the photos!

@Tangerine997 Correction! We dug up a picture of the car shortly after the owner received it. It is an aftermarket carbon mirror.
@WilsonCollection Interesting! have a mostly carbon interior and didnt get the mirrors.. they look great!
Ill also add that mine came with a cracking carbon center console as well.. very common. You can find carbon guys that will repair them for about $800 if I recall.. or you can get a full replacement unit in matte or gloss from DB Carbon... very well made stuff, which is the direction I went.
@Tangerine997 The Carbon Mirrors are a part of the factory carbon package. The only aftermarket part on the car is the exhaust.
@Tangerine997 99.9% sure the 997.2 GT3 did not have a carbon mirror option and those are added...
Really well spec'd GT3.. hope this does well.
@WilsonCollection, are the carbon fiber side mirrors part of the factory package or were they added on as after market parts.
Thanks.

@WilsonCollection How do we coordinate to inspect the vehicle in person?
@WilsonCollection, if the car does not meet the reserve, would you be open to selling the second set of black wheels?
Thanks.

@ns68 The vast majoity are leisure miles, mostly drives between the owners house and his collection. To give you perspective, both sets of wheels still have the original tires dated 2009, silver set has about 15% tread and the black set has about 40% tread, and as you know, one could easily go through a set of tires on a single track day.
@ns68 This is direct from the Wilson Collection website:
" It has been tracked numerous times and is always a delight to drive at races."
I am not sure how many track miles that amounts to on the odometer though. This car does not present like it was heavily tracked. It would be nice if the seller could comment on that more specifically. These cars are made to be track so I would not fear anything mechanically wrong. Just wondering about painted areas.
@wthies noticed that as well, I wonder what else is missing. In my mind, it should have been disclosed in vehicle description. For a vehicle at this price point, information regarding missing components and incident repair cost like others have asked should be shared. Potential buyer should be comfortable bidding on the car knowing what he/she is getting into.
@WilsonCollection. Thank you for sharing requested pictures. How do we go about inspecting the car in person. I am local.
are most of the miles track miles then or leisure miles w/some track time?
also, can you upload the front bumper repair receipt to give some indication of how minor or extensive the repair work was? Car is a beauty!
Thanks!
Awesome car and spec is ?
Not a comment on how extensively the car was tracked, but it is missing both the front driver brake duct and the rear passenger brake duct.
Looks clean otherwise and has all of the most desirable options. GLWA!

@jcbarrios2003 Absolutely! I went ahead and uploaded pictures from the front like you had requested. If you need any other pictures/angles feel free to reach out.

Bid in the amount of $110,555
This is the best specced 997 GT3 to come to market in over 2 years. Very rare to see MSRP over 140k.
Great car. I know its gonna end quite a bit over my budget. I have this car on my horizon soon enough.
@WilsonCollection thank you!
@PAEuros I understand, I will upload some more pictures of the lower rockers and lower front bumper before the auction ends.
@PAEuros *doesn’t present
@WilsonCollection that’s good to know. I was just going off what the website said when I said numerous times. It does present like it’s been tracked a lot but it’s also hard to tell in pictures unless there are a lot of close ups of the lower rockers.
@PAEuros The car has relatively little track time. An indication of this is shown by the wheels haveing their original tires dated 2009 (both sets). Silver wheels have about 15% tread ( time for a change ) and the black wheels have about 40% tread
@KitChaos Hey, thats nice that your very familiar with the Wilson Collection, to whom am I speaking with? Reciepts will be provided to the future buyer, and the work was done by AJ's Art Works in South Carolina. We do not have photos of the incident unfortunetly. Stock exhaust is not included.
@DriverM Yes it does come with both sets of wheels
@PAEuros Thank you. All of the photos are current less the studio photos. There isn't any road rash on the front bumper. There may be a handful of small chips on the front bumper from street driving, but again nothing serious as depicted in pictures.
Can you upload pictures of the"refinished front bumper" incident that required repair? If kept in Wilson collection, most likely all damage was documented. Invoice or documentation on which facility did the repair/paint of bumper? Is stock exhaust included in sale?
Does the car come with both sets of wheels and tires?
Bid in the amount of $105,000
According to the Wilson Collection website, the car was tracked numerous times. Any clear film on the front end of this car? Any notable track rash on the lower painted areas?
Beautiful 7.2 GT3 and original owner is even more exciting.
