The last of the GT3s to use Hans Mezger’s venerable flat-six engine, the 997.2 introduced an increased 3.8-liter displacement along with revised bodywork and aerodynamics. This 2010 example comes finished in Carrara White over a black interior with leather Sport Bucket Seats, Sound Package Plus, and Sport Chrono Package without PCM. Purchased by a collector in 2019 and with just under 18k miles showing on the odometer, this GT3 is now being offered for auction out of New York.
The exterior is finished in Carrara White with GT3-specific bodywork including a fixed rear wing, a vented rear bumper, dual center-mounted exhaust tips, and an aggressive front fascia with enlarged air inlets. This 997.2 rides on factory 19” GT3 center-lock wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2014. Clear paint protection has been applied over the full nose section, rocker panels, and mirror covers. The car has been kept in climate-controlled storage and the seller states a full paint correction was also recently completed followed by an application of ceramic coating, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The black interior is lined with Alcantara upholstery and features optional Sport Bucket Seats in leather. Other options include a Universal Audio Interface, Bluetooth hands-free phone interface, Dynamic Cornering Lights, Sound Package Plus, and Sport Chrono Package without Porsche Communication Management (PCM).
The naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine sends as much as 435 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH takes place in as little as 4 seconds with a top speed of over 190 MPH. This example has been fitted with an upgraded Sharkwerks exhaust, and the original exhaust is said to accompany the sale as well. The CARFAX report shows a consistent history of maintenance performed at the original selling dealership up until 2016 at 13k miles and the seller adds that an oil service was completed in September 2021.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.

Ok guys @ Plancaster @RandyCurnow i just spoke with the owner, there was a miscommunication on my wording. The winner bidder will get the roll bar with the car. But to make things clear the rollbar will not be installed , and it will be the new owners expense on packaging and shipping.
Bid in the amount of $128,000
I thought you said he was going to offer the roll bar to however wins the action. Is this not correct now, I would want the roll bar if I was to win this auction.
Bid in the amount of $127,501
Bid in the amount of $127,250
@RandyCurnow im sorry the owner wishes to keep the rollbar separately from the sale.
Good Afternoon! P car friends, with less than an hour to go i would like to thank everyone for there bids, comments and continued interest. From what im told there is less than 600 of these .2 GT3s brought into the US. I can assist with shipping if anyone wishes. I wish all parties the best of luck. Feel free to reach out with any last minute questions. Thank you.
Sorry if I missed this but will the roll bar come with the car? Thanks

Good Evening, Please check the photo gallery for the paint meter readings, please remember where the ppf is installed the meter readings will be higher. I will be present and checking messages often so if you have any questions feel free to reach out. Anyone who wishes to see the car in person before the auctions end is welcome. Thank you

@Bents I feel your pain...lol . There was some really great deals during the start of the pandemic. I sadly fell victim of selling a 2004 911 40th Anniversary with 8k miles that was literally new. I even had all the luggage that was never opened. If i had that car in todays times it would be close to double what we sold it for. I simply cannot see Iconic cars like this falling short as they were made in such limited numbers. The .2 version with the larger displacement Mezger is basically a piece of Porsche history. I am simply a fan of 996/997s cars.
Good Evening, please check the photo gallery as i posted some pics. Prior to my clients acquisition, this car was judged at a local PCA event.

Awesome spec. I missed out on one like it early in the pandemic at $135k because I hesitated at that price. Look where we are now. Incredible. An investment you can drive and enjoy, if you’re so lucky. Glws. Hope it sells this time.
Bid in the amount of $111,997
Ok guys, the drive video is now posted. Please view my youtube and check them all out. Feel free to reach out and direct message me if you would like to speak. Stay tuned as more pics are coming.
On another note, I will be posting the paint meter readings today as well. As i stated the car has original paint and the whole front nose has PPF, (hood , bumper, fenders, headlights, Mirrors, along with lower rocker panels and some areas on the lower back bumper. These areas will read higher on a paint meter for obvious reasons. The car received a paint correction and ceramic coating. The finish is gorgeous. Please check out the youtube videos and see for yourself. I uploaded them in 4k so if you are viewing at this moment please revisit them again in an hour as youtube takes sometime to process HD 4k. I encourage anyone serious to come down and see this car for yourself !
Good Morning Everyone, I will be posting a link to my youtube channel where you can find the videos of the cold start, Interior, Walkaround along with a Sharkwerks exhaust. Stay tuned as the drive video will be uploaded. P car market should have these videos posted on the auction today. In the meantime enjoy!

The 997.2 GT3 is the hail and farewell of the Mezger engine as enthusiasts of the marque know. These models are money in the bank IMHO
I actually prefer the non-RS model as they are actually drivable on the street for special occasions Vs the RS which is so track focused. Interesting that this one has the LWBS which are usually found on the RS. They run ~ $10k aftermarket. For most (especially plus sized) they are not the best comfort choice, and GT3 sport seats or even comfort seats from a same gen turbo or GTS should be an easy swap, keeping the LWBS pristine for a future buyer.
I prefer investment cars in the 15-25k mile range as those with only a few miles are insanely expensive and those with 50k + tend to lose favor and value, although they are great for DD/DE
White and Black seem to be ever popular I believe because they are a blank canvas to customize. Again, interesting this particular GT3 used to carry the Martini livery which I find stunning and more visually appealing…to each their own.
Remember, you never really own these types of cars, you babysit them for the next owner.
I will be shocked if this GT3 doesn’t meet reserve, there are just not many of them and with proper care and feeding they are guaranteed to put a smile on your face and increase your retirement portfolio simultaneously.
GLWA ??

Hello everyone, @gman3208 the car was initially offered on bat with Martini livery and a bolt in roll bar. Although the car looked awesome some felt it was personalized to ones liking rather than catering to all the masses. My client initially purchased the car the exact way you saw it on bat. He happened to love the look. So with very little effort we removed the livery stickers , polished the area and reapplied the ceramic coating.
The roll bar was unbolted and we now returned the car to stock configuration. We left the shark works exhaust as it sounds amazing. We have the original muffler in the box that will accompany the sale. @URS6 I believe my client may want to let the new owner decide if they want it, IF not your next in line. As i mentioned stay tuned as i have some photos and videos coming . Thanks for the interest and i encourage anyone serious to come down and see this beauty for themselves.

@sebaf1 The bid made in error has been retracted, you may now place the correct bid.
I’ll never be able to afford one at this rate
Seller, is the roll-bar still available for the car? I'd like it for a track car. Of course I was just outbid by nearly a million $s!
bid by mistake..
sorry
Yep no roll bar either fron the BAT version. Nice catch. Seller comments?
Good afternoon PCar friends, it with great pleasure to offer this 2010 GT3 for sale. Its a gorgeous example that exhibits original paint. My client purchased this car from a PCA member who is also a collector like himself. The car has not been tracked and we will be submitting the DME report as well. Please stay tuned as we will be uploading a drive, interior, and cold start video. We welcome any serious buyer to come down and view this beauty for themselves. Thank you and good luck!
