The 997.2 generation Porsche 911 GT3 was produced between 2010 and 2011 featuring a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This 2010 example is one of only 58 that were reportedly sold new in Canada and comes finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over a Black leather interior. It was optioned with Dynamic Engine Mounts, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Sport Chrono Package Plus, Sound Package Plus, Sport Bucket Seats, colored instrument dials, and PCM 3.0 with navigation. It was sold new from Porsche Vancouver and has remained in British Columbia where it was purchased by the previous owner in 2019 with approximately 7,500 kilometers driven since. Showing approximately 64k kilometers or 40k miles on the odometer, this GT3 is now being offered for auction out of Canada.
Compared to the original 997 GT3, the 997.2 version offers significantly increased downforce with revised front and rear spoilers. This example is finished in Meteor Grey Metallic complemented by yellow ceramic brake calipers and 19” GT3 center-lock wheels in silver. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires from 2021 in front and 2022 in the rear. Other equipment includes optional dynamic cornering bi-xenon headlamps, LED taillights, clear side marker lenses, and dual center-mounted tailpipes. The seller indicates the car has seen some track use, minor stone chips are present on the front bumper and hood, and an insurance claim was previously filed to replace the right rear quarter window due to vandalism.
The cabin is appointed with Black leather and Alcantara upholstery and features carbon fiber Sport Bucket Seats, optional instrument dials in Carrara White, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch timer in Carrara White. Other equipment includes optional Sound Package Plus, PCM 3.0 with navigation, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a tire pressure monitoring system. Rubber floor mats have been added and some minor signs of wear are noted on the upholstery.
Rated at 429 HP and 317 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.8-liter Mezger flat-six engine delivers power to the rear wheels by way of a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. This car is equipped with optional Dynamic Engine Mounts, the Sport Chrono Package, and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB). The seller indicates aftermarket AP Racing rotors and Pagid brake pads have been installed along with new caliper piston seals, and the original ceramic composite rotors are included in the sale.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, original brake rotors, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: "Weissach has been specializing in servicing and selling Porsche automobiles since 1980 in Vancouver, Canada. Weissach has an excellent reputation in Canada for offering the best Porsches by servicing and reconditioning them to not need anything. We have experience buying and selling all over the world and will assist the new buyer no matter the final destination. This is an excellent 997.2 GT3 that has never been registered outside of British Columbia. It has had been well looked after by its previous custodians and is in excellent condition for its next caring owner to enjoy for years to come. We will provide full records with the previous owner's information redacted, 2 keys & books, along with the PCCB rotors. You will note there is one minor vandalism claim for $2500~ as the car was parked in an underground parking lot and had its right rear quarter window broken which damaged the paint of the right rear quarter panel early in its life, we have the record showing this work performed by Korva Autobody a very well known and reputable shop here in Vancouver."

@flatcrank @Hazemgiballi Thank you for your confidence bidding and questions. We will assist every step of the way. We assisted a client several months ago getting a 992 GT3 into California and was very simple and straight forward when working with our experts who deal with these cars coming and going over the border. That too was a Canadian delivered car, with no USA history. The emission sticker also shows its compliance. Rest assured we will walk through the process with you every step of the way including documentation etc. It is not a complicated process as many have commented from their experiences as well.
@WeissachVan do you guys have a LOC from Porsche on hand, or is this up to the purchaser to attain?
@flatcrank this correct.
Seller confirmed we can register in US, so I’m bidding on that promise
@visionxp @WeissachVan Is the an issue with importing Porsches first sold in Canada as distinct from US cars that were "exported" (?) to Canada?
I don't know about 2010 era, but I thought all North America sales came through PCNA and were NA (North America) spec for USA DOT/EPA/CARB and Canada. Maybe I'm missing an important factor.
Removing the brake is common for tracking. But that’s what these cars are meant to do. So I don’t mind. I’ll be taking her home 🤞🏼
@WeissachVan thanks, I appreciate your attention to the details. It would be useful to see pics of the four corners underbody to see the extent of any surface corrosion and the condition of the suspension.
Bid in the amount of $112,000
Bid in the amount of $108,000
Do your research, a Canadian car can be exported to the US. Just brought over a Canadian 997.2 RS. No issues at border, just lighter wallet.
not that easy. this is a canadian car, not a U.S. car returning.
@Chrispcar You can drive it across the border and clear customs yourself. Just have the sales paperwork and money to pay the duties. I think it took us about 20mins. Easy to do yourself and enjoy a roadtrip in your new GT3.
@Chrispcar Thank you for your bid and question. Our experience has always been dealing with specialized transporters/brokers ensuring there is no missed document/step as we also want to ensure it is a seamless process. There could be certainly be a way but our recommendation is to use a transporter/broker to at least get it across the border or investigate this route yourself as we don't to mislead you or anyone else.
Bid in the amount of $105,000
Bid in the amount of $100,000
Is it possible to pick it up in Canada or would it need to go through customs?
Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@Chrispcar Will upload some additional photos of the underside of the engine. We posted pics of the minor stone chips in the front in the album gallery, please see photos 160-176 for these amateur images. We may be too transparent as they are difficult to see but want to be transparent.
Also some closer pics of the front end with the mentioned rock chips.
As someone else pointed out the pretty magazine pics are great, some additional “detail” pics would be helpful.
Is it possible to have some higher quality pics of the underside of the engine posted? Doesn’t have to be on a lift for this I would prefer the pic be closer up anyways.
Thank you!
@flatcrank Sorry, I forgot to answer your other question. You will not pay any tax in Canada unless the car is being registered in Canada. You would only be subject to your states taxes just as you would with any other vehicle purchase.
@flatcrank That is correct and we can confirm there are is no evidence of any roll cage previously being installed. It has been disclosed there was some track use on the vehicle, and the past owners respected the car shown by the rev range report. It is an excellent, honest, example that has been very well looked after by its previous custodians. The walk around video highlights the condition of the car shown above as well as the inspection report and recent service work for the car to now need nothing but a new caring home!
Bid in the amount of $79,997
@WeissachVan thanks for confirming that information.
Can you inspect the tub for witness marks of a previously installed roll cage, please?
This would be evident under the rear parcel shelf cover (sits in place, lifts up) and in floorpan beside the sill under the lower seat belt anchor bolt locations beside the front seats.
It would also be informative to see photos of the suspension.
If I understand what you're saying, there's been 3 previous owners, and at 14-15 years, there's plenty of time for a GT3 to have found itself on the track and set up with appropriate safety equipment which can be variously bolted or welded in place. That's not to say some track driving is a bad thing, just a matter of impact on its value.
I'm potentially bidding from California, so my costs would be $3-4K for transport (based on your post) plus $5K to pcarmarket, plus $3K+ to our friendly, neighborhood taxman. Does Canada attempt to collect sales tax on the transaction despite the vehicle leaving the country before registration?
Thanks,
Happy Friday and welcome to the final day for this beautiful Meteor Grey Metallic 2010 911 GT3! An amazing machine and overall example.
Very well cared for by its previous local owners; please note that even dealers become "new owners" here in Canada when reporting to Carfax, this car has only had a couple owners, the previous who bought in 2019 from a Porsche dealer and accumulated 7500kms. We became the new owner reported in 04/10/2024 that you see on the carfax for example.
As a reminder. We have been specializing in service and sales for Porsche Automobiles since 1980 and have experience buying and selling all over the world. No matter the final destination we will work with you to ensure the process is quick and easy. The digital readout converts from kilometers to miles with the flip of the center stalk switch using the onboard computer, there is no requirement to make any other adjustments to the analog/faceplate unless you yourself find it necessary to do so.
Just in the past couple of months alone we have sold a few 911's to clients in California, Maryland and Tallahassee, by using companies like TFX International, and a couple other smaller companies who offer the same services. The car that went to Florida was approximately $5K and the car we transported to California was just over $3K. These are all enclosed carriers that we recommend using of course.
The only change made on this car are the removal of the PCCB in place of the current brakes. The PCCB's as shown in photos with about 50% remaining will be included in the sale. We have 2 keys, books and documentation to go with the vehicle as well.
As mentioned earlier, the coolant lines have not been pinned but we can certainly perform this work for the winner of the car should they choose to use our services. There is no leak from the rear main seal. The over rev report is accurate and recent along with our inspection report, unfortunately our local Porsche Centers no longer offer PPI's.
Will be responding to all direct messages as well and look forward to seeing you at the finish line! This is a special one!

@Guyc2 carbon ceramic brakes don't wear through friction, they wear via oxidization. Thickness is not the way to measure disc wear, it's done by weight. The 'as manufactured' and 'minimum' weights are listed on the bell housing.
Bid in the amount of $75,000
@rjdunn03 u can chi settings in pcm system, digital speed is shown in tach so analog gauge isn't an issue
Bid in the amount of $53,997
Bid in the amount of $51,000
For US bidders would the car need to be reprogrammed to display miles and mph rather than kmh? Also assuming the faceplate would need to be changed? Anyone know if any other changes would need to be made?
@flatcrank according to comments below, coolant lines have not been pinned.
What would be the specific cost to deliver this car to the USA, zip code 94062?
Please post "before" photos of the rear quarter panel damage and repair.
Please post the service records (the inspection notes the service records are available) and underbody photos, especially suspension and the four corners.
Is there a current Porsche dealer PPI?
Is there a current over-rev report (the report with all zeroes is implausible with 5 previous owners of a GT3, but anything's possible. : )
Has the engine been inspected for RMS leak?
Has the engine been modified?
Have the coolant pipes been "pinned"?
Thanks,
My guess is same reason as mine, if you are going to take car to track, even light use you should not chance damage to them. From what I see they don't look bad-ceramics aren't pretty--maybe Weissach Van can get the measuring tool to see how much wear, think they start at 34mm in front and 28mm in rear

@RipCity Sorry, I forgot to mention that the photo gallery is where the report is found. The center lock tool is still there stored in the frunk. Photo come in the gallery shortly for this as well.
Hello! @visionxp @Guyc2 @RipCity @SpaceTex @Albertnigri Thank you for your comments and questions. A walkround video and some shots taken in the showroom will be posted shortly.
The PCCB's that come in boxes mainly for safely keeping them. They have approximately 50% remaining. The previous owner who accumulated 7500kms over the 5 years was the one who replaced them and kept the PCCB aside. "AP Racing rotors and Pagid brake pads have been installed along with new caliper piston seals, and the original ceramic composite rotors are included in the sale."
Looking forward to tomorrow when we see who is taking this beautiful GT3 home! Thank you
Those ceramic rotors show heavy wear (visually) so that may have been the motivation to swap them for iron rotors. I wouldn’t count on using them again.
@SpaceTex because they cost 20k to replace and I was going to do some tracking which will wear them out too quickly--for street the ceramics are fine, create very little brake dust and if you stay on top of pad changes they should last for a long time.
Greetings! With the apparently original calipers from the CC brakes, what’s the current set-up with the pads, please? Do you know the “why” for changing them out? Is the center lug tool included? I saw your reference to the overrev status but can you direct me to the posted report, please? Thank you for your replies.
@Guyc2 why did you box the stock rotors? I’m learning. 😁
The artsy photos are nice but can you post some "regular" outdoor shots in regular sunlight or perhaps a walk around video? Thank you
Thank you to all who are watching and commenting on this auction. We have now added the driving video, additional photos/information as requested. Please feel free to continue to reach us directly with any additional questions or curiosities. This is a fantastic example in excellent condition.

Thanks, if available bidders would likely want to see pics and a wear reading--just an fyi, love this but have a .1 in speed yellow--boxed my rotors with 5k miles on em.
@Guyc2 Correct, included!
Are the original ceramic rotors included?
@Mcomito thank you for your input. The previous owners did not find it necessary either but it’s certainly something we can discuss performing before it leaves our store with the winning bidder.
@P4tcars Yes, my apologies for the delay. Will get the documents posted tomorrow along with more material that didn’t get uploaded on initial upload. There is a Rev Range 1 at 939hrs and total operating hours is currently 1206. (83 ignitions at engine speed) - will provide supporting docs confirming this info tomorrow when back in the office.
Any over revs? Do you have that report?
@Mcomito couldn’t have said it better myself. These days you can’t even run in a PCA HPDE without proof of having lines pinned if driving a 997/996 gt car.
Bid in the amount of $50,000
@Beandip83 while I cannot speak for the seller, pinning of the coolant lines should be done if you plan on moderate to heavy track use. Even for light track use, the coolant lines do not need to be pinned as the rate of failure is still negligible. This was the advice given to me from the Indy shop I use and they are true experts in all things 911, especially track prep.
My 997.2 GT3 does not have pinned coolant lines and has handled sporadic track use without any issues.
These things are a blast and undoubtedly one of the best driving experiences you can have.
@jvuong thank you for your interest and questions. I will be uploading more content on Tuesday. Will provide paint meter readings, history report, additional photos and more. In 2011 we have a record showing from the first owner that someone broke into a “secured” parkade and smashed the right rear quarter window which caused some damage to the paint amounting to a repair just under $2500CDN. Will post photos of the CARFAX as well as the paint meter and paper work confirming this event. No accident history other than this. Very well cared for GT3, with mature enthusiasts. More to come, thank you for your patience!
Has this vehicle been in an accident or had any paint work? Can you please provide paint meter readings?
@Beandip83 Hello, and thank you for your interest and question. They have not but we can certainly discuss having them done with the winner of this auction prior to it leaving our shop.
@seller have the coolant lines been welded/pinned?
