For the 2010 model year, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 was redesigned and fitted with a more powerful 5.4-liter Modular V8 engine. Finished in Brilliant Silver over a Charcoal Black interior, this Convertible version features performance upgrades from DaSilva Racing including a Whipple supercharger, a JLT carbon fiber cold air intake, Kooks long-tube headers, Borla Attack mufflers, a Centre Force clutch, an Eibach Pro lowering kit, and an MSD shift light. The car is claimed to produce over 800 HP at the crank and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada while showing approximately 17k kilometers (10,500 miles) on the odometer.
The Shelby GT500 features a unique front and rear fascia compared to the standard Mustang as well as a rear spoiler and a hood with functional air vents. This 2010 example is finished in Brilliant Silver with a black convertible top, satin black double racing stripes, and GT500 side stripes. Equipment includes optional HID headlamps, dual power mirrors, front fog lamps, dual exhaust outlets, Cobra fender badges, 18” SVT machined aluminum wheels, and a Classic Styling Concepts brake light bar. The seller describes the exterior to be in excellent overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Charcoal Black SVT leather interior features front bucket seats with Cobra embossed backrests and suede inserts as well as SVT instrumentation, SVT-branded door sills, Shelby GT500 floor mats, and a white GT500 shift knob. The driver is provided with a power-adjustable seat, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, and a Shaker audio system with an AM/FM CD stereo. An MSD shift light has also been mounted on the steering column.
The 5.4-liter Modular 4-valve V8 engine was rated at 540 HP and 510 lb.-ft of torque stock and sends power to the rear wheels by way of a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have been upgraded by DaSilva Racing with a Whipple supercharger as well as a JLT carbon fiber cold air intake, Kooks long-tube headers and mid-pipe, Borla Attack mufflers, and a Centre Force clutch and pressure plate. It was also fitted with an Eibach Pro lowering kit, Panhard bar, and UPR lower control arms. The seller states that the car produces over 800 HP at the crank and there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, some service records, and a clean title.
