Representing the only M3 generation to feature a V8 and the first to offer the option of a modern dual-clutch transmission, this 2009 BMW E92 M3 Coupe is finished in Jerez Black Metallic over a Bamboo Beige Novillo Leather interior. It equips an M Twin-Clutch automatic transmission paired with a fully rebuilt S65 V8 engine featuring new rod and main bearings with ARP bolts, a new CSF radiator and oil cooler, Mahle forged pistons, nickel-plated cylinders, and an ESS S65 G1+ supercharger system. This M3 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Connecticut while showing just over 117k miles on the odometer.
The M3 is distinguished from a standard E92 3-Series Coupe by its more aggressive bumpers and side skirts, wider front fender with vents and integrated LED turn signals, aluminum power dome hood, carbon fiber roof panel, aerodynamic mirrors, and quad exhaust tips. This 2009 example is finished in Jerez Black Metallic with high-gloss Shadowline trim, satin black front kidney grilles, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, carbon fiber side skirt extensions, and carbon fiber Akrapovic exhaust tips. It rides on aftermarket 19” Aodhan AH02 wheels with Nitto tires in the rear (2720) and Michelin tires up front (1922). The seller describes the exterior to be in very good condition apart from a small scratch on the side of the rear bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing minor front-end damage in 2015 and 2016.
Inside, this M3 features Black and Bamboo Beige Novillo Leather upholstery on the seats and door panels contrasted with black carpeting, headliner, and leather carbon structure trim. Accessories include a custom Alcantara-wrapped three-spoke M steering wheel with paddle shifters, M3 branded floor mats and door sills, a stainless-steel M footrest, an engine start/stop button, automatic climate control, and an iDrive infotainment system with navigation.
The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter S65 V8 engine features individual throttle bodies, double-VANOS valve timing, and a stock output of up to 414 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque. Under the seller’s ownership, the engine has been completely rebuilt with all new seals and gaskets, valves, rod and main bearings, ARP bolts, Mahle forged pistons, nickel-plated cylinders, a new aluminum CSF radiator and oil cooler, a new fuel pump, and a new flywheel. The engine has also been upgraded with an ESS S65 G1+ supercharger kit which is said to provide an output of up to 700 HP. The rear wheels by a 7-speed M Twin-Clutch automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes that proper routine service has been observed and there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time. The engine is said to have been driven approximately 1k miles since the rebuild and the work was carried out by a reputable BMW M specialist.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
