Finished in Guards Red over a Black interior, this 2009 Porsche 987.2 Cayman S is equipped with a 3.4-liter flat-six engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. It was factory optioned with heated leather Sport Seats, Porsche-crested headrests, Guards Red seatbelts, a leather Sport steering wheel, a painted center console, automatic climate control, Sport Chrono Package, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. The car has also been modified with a custom rear spoiler, smoked LED fog lights, 18” CCW Classic Race Version wheels, a Raceseng shift knob, a Fabspeed exhaust, and BC Racing coilovers. Originally sold in the U.S. and imported to Canada in 2013, this is now being offered for auction with approximately 91k kilometers or 57k miles showing on the odometer.
This 987.2 is finished in Guards Red and features a custom rear spoiler, blackout headlamp housings, smoked LED fog lights, color-matched turn signals, and a matte black rear model designation. The front bumper has been refinished and shaved to eliminate license plate mounting holes. The car rides on aftermarket 18” CCW Classic Race Version three-piece wheels measuring 8.5” wide in front and 10.5” wide at the rear. The Firehawk Indy 500 tires are dated from 2021 and have approximately 90% tread depth remaining. The seller notes a 3-stage paint correction was performed under their ownership followed by a 5-year ceramic coating application. The CARFAX report shows minor/moderate damage to the front end in 2011. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The Black interior features optional heated leather Sport Seats with Porsche-crested headrests, Guards Red seatbelts, a Guards Red-painted center console, and a leather three-spoke Sport steering wheel. Other factory equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, a universal audio interface, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and the Bose High-End Sound Package. An aftermarket Raceseng shift knob has been installed and the original knob is included in the sale. The seller notes the TPMS warning light is on the dashboard as the aftermarket wheels have no TPMS sensors.
Factory-rated 320 HP and 273 lb.-ft of torque, the mid-mounted 3.4-liter flat-six engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels. The engine has been modified with a Fabspeed exhaust system and the suspension features aftermarket BC Racing coilovers. The original suspension components are included in the sale. The car is said to have been maintained at a Porsche dealership for the past 5 years including all new brakes and a wheel alignment in 2024, and a full service with new spark plugs in 2022.
This sale will include a window sticker, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “I would love to keep this car as it’s my second Cayman and being the 987.2 a rare find in the condition and color combo, however, I have twins that are getting older and would like something with back seats the whole family can enjoy. This Porsche Cayman S 987.2 is one of the cleanest examples you will find with no cut corners in maintaining it.”

Awesome wheels!
@Van_Slyke I actually changed the lens with OEM Porsche ones as the old ones were faded and I wanted the headlights 10/10
At the same time I got the housings blacked out in matt black for a cleaner look!

From the pictures it seems that the headlamp lenses were removed when the inner housing was painted black. Were the lenses also refinished or replaced, because they look like new? I had the lenses from my '09 Cayman refinished and then clear coated earlier this year, which made a huge difference, so I suspect you went through the same. You have lots of nice tasteful mods here that I would like to do. Maybe I should sell mine and buy yours.

@02silverbullet unfortunately I do not since it’s been 10+ years ago, however most of the information is on the carfax
You happen to have any of the original USA paper work? Title / bill of sale / registrations / import stuff / etc?
Bid in the amount of $13,000
Great to hear! Thanks!
@wadds1971 hi there
1. wing is not fixed it is fully retractable just like the OEM one would be and goes up and down
The one on the car now just has a more aggressive curve and is larger, I also have the stock one included
2. Yes when the OEM wheels were on the car that is with the OEM suspension as well, which are both included in the sale with the car.
The BC Racing Coilovers we’re installed the same time as the CCW wheels
3. Car has NEVER seen a track day as I’m far to picky with my cars and don’t want stone chips, tire wear etc on my cars
4. The seats are flawless everywhere no wear at all, expect the driver side outer bolster could use a re die but it’s not ripped at all just from the rubbing in and out
That will be addressed prior to the sale to be 10/10 condition
Thank you
@irondesign thank you much appreciated
I’m located in Toronto, Canada
However this is a US spec car
Thank you
Pretty Cayman S, but a few questions:
1. It appears the rear wing is now permanently fixed in position, and is not retractable? If so, why was this chosen?
2. Two pics show the car with what appear to be the OEM wheels mounted. The camber on those looks much closer to stock, too. Were these pics taken before the suspension was modified? Are the original suspension parts still with the car?
3. This appears to be a car that may have seen some "track days", what with the oversized wheels, camber changes, etc. True?
4. The back rest of the driver's seat seems to show a lot of wear to the leather on the outside edge. Is this true, or simply an artifact in the pics?
Thanks for your input, and good luck!
It's a beautiful car. Very nice spec. What city is is near?
@ova9k not sure exactly as I don’t know where your located in the US, but I do have a friend who owns a dealership and ships cars regularly said around $1000 give or take.
Also the good news is this being originally a US car when it gets imported back, there shouldn’t be any duty charges
Happy bidding!

Do you know how much this would to get back into the US? Thanks!
@MakeLoveNotBidWars hi there thanks for reaching out
Great questions
The exhaust does not have 2 “modes” it’s a fixed sound with a beautiful deep tone and zero drone
Catalytic converters are still stock to avoid engine lights and the bad smell
The car does not come with the stock exhaust unfortunately
However it does indeed come with the stock 18’ Cayman S Sport wheels with almost brand new tires!
I do not have a DME report
Hope I have answered all your questions
Good morning, what a car. I am hoping to get more information before bidding.
A few questions about the ehxaust:
Does the Fabspeed exhaust have two modes like the OEM Sport exhaust would have had? Are the stock catalytic converters still in place? Do you have the OEM exhaust?
Do you have a DME report?
Do you have the OEM wheels that could be included or purchased separately?
@PorscheGeek thank you buddy
Yes took a lot of hours to put this car tastefully together yet keeping it classy at the same time
