In 2009, Porsche introduced the revised 987.2 generation Boxster, showcasing updated styling, a redesigned PCM system, a more potent direct fuel-injected flat-six engine, and the availability of a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. This 2009 Porsche Boxter S is finished in Aqua Blue Metallic over a Black leather upholstery and was ordered with the Bose High-End Sound Package, Dynamic Cornering Bi-Xenon headlights, heated seats, 19” Carrera S II wheels, and more. Showing just under 20k miles on the odometer, this Boxster S is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Massachusetts.
Compared to the initial 987 model, the refreshed 987.2 Boxster underwent styling enhancements such as redesigned headlights and taillights, larger front air intakes, daytime running lights, and dual rear diffusers surrounding the central exhaust outlet. This 2009 example is finished in Aqua Blue Metallic with a black convertible top and showcases a speed-activated rear spoiler and gloss-black side air intakes. It comes equipped with factory-optioned 19” Carrera S II wheels featuring colored Porsche crest center caps wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport N2 from 2012. The seller reports the grills have undergone a black repaint, and there are some minor road-induced imperfections on the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the Black standard leather interior comes with optional heated front seats and features the Bose High-End Sound Package, a touchscreen Porsche Communication Management 3.0 (PCM 3.0) with extended navigation, and a wind deflector. Additionally, the driver benefits from a Bluetooth phone interface, universal audio interface, XM radio receiver, Dynamic Cornering Bi-Xenon headlights, and automatic climate control. The seller confirms all gauges and electronics to be fully functional.
Power comes from a mid-mounted 3.4-liter direct-injected flat-six engine and delivers up to 310 HP and 266 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK transmission. Braking power is facilitated by four-wheel disc brakes with red calipers over cross-drilled rotors. The seller notes the Sport Chrono Package was added by Porsche St. Louis under previous ownership. Furthermore, the seller attests to the car receiving routine annual maintenance with thorough documentation.
This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Appreciate your interest in this 2009 Boxster S ...2nd generation Boxster with all the important changes in suspension and motor eliminating the fear of IMS issues. It has been a fun car to drive in the backroads in my area and holds its own with my 2015 911Carerra S in every way with possibly a little more ‘fun factor.’”

@robsimon Actually I'm in error on that, I see tire dates of 4119, 4419, 0920 and 0920. Doesn't matter, looks good
Tire dates look like 2019 instead of 2012 - 4119 for the fronts and 4419 for the rears. Maybe seller can confirm?

Any chance of getting a video of the top going up/down?
It’s nice to be able to see and hear the mechanism working.

All original paint? Original exhaust system?

@JasonJ Upon purchasing this Boxster S I was informed that the dealer ,Porsche St. Louis , had installed Sport Chrono and have the paperwork to substantiate the install.
@JasonJ No, it does not have PASM only Sport Chrono
Thanks for the info.
Does this car have PASM?
@JasonJ - yes Sport/Sport Plus can be added as a dealer installed feature https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/9X7SM.html
Bid in the amount of $5,000
G'morning,
Didn't know that Chrono could be an add-on after the car was built...can you discuss that?
Is 'Dynamic Cornering' the same as PDLS?
Does the car have PASM, or is that only for later models?
Thanks,
