The updated Porsche 987.2 Boxter was introduced in 2008, featuring the option of a new 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission, revised styling, a redesigned PCM infotainment system, and larger engine displacement. The 987.2-generation Boxster was updated with new headlights, LED taillights, larger front air intakes, and a revised rear apron with twin diffusers. This example is finished in Guards Red with a black convertible soft top. Equipment includes heated auto-dimming power mirrors, daytime running lights, fog lights, side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a center-mounted tailpipe, and 17” Boxster III wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The car is equipped with VarioCam variable valve timing, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel independent suspension, and ventilated disc brakes with fixed 4-piston calipers at each corner. The seller indicates maintenance has been kept up to date, including a serpentine belt replacement at approximately 60k miles.

Any chance of looking at the vehicle? I am local, about 15 miles away.
Good morning. A couple of additional questions. In picture 16 is appears the convertible top is suffering from a common issue in these cars. Does the convertible top need manual tucking in when it closes? Is the elastic that forms the top to the seal stretched? Just trying to figure it out from the pictures. Additionally any chance of posting the maintance receipts for the servicing that you indicate has been done to the vehicle? Thank you.
@Peewee73 I don't see where I can upload videos, only photos. I did have the roof motors repaired a month or two ago. The plastic gears were worn out. The Porsche shop here in Houston said the roof should be good for many more years now.

@Rgl2020 That is strange. It has never failed an emissions test, and I've never had to do anything to it for emissions. And I've never had to have it retested. All I can think of is there was a computer input error, and they re-inputted it. I've used the same inspection garage for all my cars for years.
The Carfax states that it first failed emissions inspection in December 2024. What was the problem and how was it resolved? Thanks.
