Up for auction is this 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet finished in Midnight Blue Metallic. One of the most sought-after 997s of all, the 2009 Turbo is a transitional model featuring the original 3.6L Mezger engine paired with the second-generation interior and updated PCM system of the 997.2. This 6-speed Cabriolet features the optional Parking Assist System and Sport Chrono Package Turbo as well as a Brown Natural Leather interior with an exclusive painted rear center console and deviated blue carpets. Acquired by its second owner in 2019 after qualifying as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, this nicely appointed Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Indiana showing just over 46k miles on the odometer.
This Turbo comes finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with a Metropol Blue soft top and features unique red taillight lenses from Porsche’s Exclusive Department. The seller reports the car has seen limited track use during a couple of noncompetitive PCA driver education events and notes the car has been preserved with Xpel clear paint protection film over the hood, front bumper, fenders, rocker panels, and rear wheel wells. A few small rock chips are present on the hood and front bumper, detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report. This 997 rides on factory 19” Turbo wheels dressed in new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.
The premium Brown Natural Leather interior is accented by optional blue deviated carpeting and an exclusive painted rear center console. The seller reports one area of slight discoloration at the middle seam of the driver’s seat cushion and confirms all features and accessories to be fully functional. A complete list of factory options is provided below:
This 2009 997 Turbo was among the very last to carry the twin-turbocharged 3.6L Mezger flat-six engine. As much as 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque are sent to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, while stopping power comes from 350mm cross-drilled discs paired with fixed 6-piston calipers in front, and 4-piston calipers in the rear. Porsche Traction Management (PTM) and Porsche Stability Management (PSM) are equipped as standard while the optional Sport Chrono Package Turbo enables an overboost setting for increased peak torque. A major 30k-mile service was completed by Porsche Amityville in 2019 and a 40k-mile service was performed in November of 2020. A pre-purchase inspection was carried out by Kurt's Autowerks of Illinois on December 16th, 2021, and is provided for reference in the gallery along with several other records.
This sale will include a set of two keys, owner's manuals, the original window sticker, some service records, and a clean title. As the 997 generation becomes increasingly desirable, the 2009 Turbo remains one of the most sought-after models of all. Do not miss out on this 6-speed Cabriolet with just over 46k miles traveled from new.

@pilot123 Hi Pilot, Yes, original clutch. Entire car is still 100% original, no mods or replacement parts needed. Clutch is still tight and responsive, no slips. Checked out fine in the recent PPI as well. Happy bidding!
Good Am ! Original Clutch??
I went from a 991GT3RS to a 997turbo cab 6 speed just like this one. I like the 997 so much better, so much more engaging to drive everyday. These are extremely undervalued and in my humble opinion will be the next 993 in value as the last analog manual turbo. GLWA! Buyer won’t regret it!

Perfect build for the ultimate 997.1.5. A good drivers car as I have 46K on 997.1.5. This should bring six figures $$$.
@CorteoM Hi Corteo, The top is in good condition cosmetically and works great mechanically; no leaks (water or air) hitches in the action, noises, etc. Its smooth, quiet and fast. The open/close feature while driving below 30 mph is very cool and handy when rain arrives. I drive the car 90% with the top down as it is a fair weather car, so it sees much use. That said, if you look closely at the photos of the top, I took several, you’ll see some light scuffing where the frame of the top makes contact with the top during opening and closing, both sides. It is common to see this on cars with any regular top use. My 996 C2 did the same thing. It isn’t wearing through on the inside and won’t tear it, but it does create a bit of a wear mark, kinda like an older sweater. Other than that, top looks good. I would be happy to send more photos if you like. Thanks, Dan
Are there any issues with the top? Mechanical or cosmetic
@Airheadslash2 Thanks Airhead, much appreciated! Just trying to facilitate the process and be upfront with anyone interested. It’s a great, all original car and very unique: ‘09 MT in this color combo.

@997.1TTcab wow what a fantastic 997! Thanks for providing the DME and PPI, they both look great! This car was obviously very well cared for. You set the bar for all sellers!
Bid in the amount of $9,971
Hi chizchiz, Yes, full transparency here. A PPI with DME was conducted on December 16th and are included in the photos. I watch these auctions consistently and see the back and forth on trying to get last minute PPIs and DMEs before the auction ends and wanted to be fully transparent and get ahead of it. Car has no issues and runs spectacularly!
Perfect spec! Do you have a recent DME report?
Hi All, I'm Dan the current and 2nd owner of this wonderful 997.1.5 turbo cabriolet. You won't see many, if any in this rare color combination with interior color and other options. The deviated carpet color and painted console are visually stunning. Car is in fantastic shape, no scratches, dents or dings and has been well cared for during the 2.5 years I've owned it. Runs excellent, has no issues and needs nothing for the next owner to enjoy this piece of Porsche history. I am happy to answer any questions or provide additional information about the car. Happy bidding! Dan
