Offered for auction is this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera 4S Cabriolet finished in Meteor Grey Metallic over a Black and Stone Grey interior. The 2009 model year saw a generational update across the 911 range, including larger direct fuel-injected engines and a unique reflector band between the taillights for the all-wheel-drive models. This 6-speed Carrera 4S Cabriolet was sold new in California at an original sticker price over $126k with the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, painted interior trim, illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber, and Adaptive Sport Seats with exclusive painted backrests and crested headrests. It was fitted with a set of custom three-piece wheels before the current owner acquired the car on PCARMARKET in 2021. Now showing just over 66k miles on the odometer, this Carrera 4S is being offered for auction by its owner out of California.
This 997.2 was ordered in Meteor Grey Metallic with a black cabriolet roof, optional painted headlight cleaner covers, and a painted model designation on the rear decklid. The car rides on a set of custom one-off Cargraphic three-piece wheels dressed in Michelin tires. The set of original factory-optioned 19” SportDesign wheels come painted to match the exterior and are said to accompany the sale as well. Some minor cosmetic imperfections are noted, and the front bumper was refinished under prior ownership to address road-going wear. The CARFAX report provided in the gallery shows minor damage to have occurred to the left rear-end in 2015.
The two-tone Black and Stone Grey interior includes factory exclusive painted backrests for the Adaptive Sport Seats as well as a painted rear center console, dashboard trim strip, and instrument surround. Other noteworthy details include illuminated door sill guards in carbon fiber, gear lever trim in leather, and headrests with embossed Porsche crests. A complete list of options is provided below:
The direct fuel-injected 3.8L flat-six engine delivers up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package Plus is equipped and the seller recently replaced aftermarket exhaust components with a full OEM system. The CARFAX report shows the clutch and flywheel serviced at 39k miles in 2017 as well as an A/C system service in 2018, and full service by Hi-Tech Auto in November of 2021 with new spark plugs, brake pads, oil, filters, and a new coolant reservoir.
This sale will include service records, the original wheels, and a clean title. Sporting a generous array of factory options, this 6-speed Carrera 4S just might be the 997 Cabriolet you’ve been waiting for.

@bbkat Good to know! I'll let you know where I land. I like the wheels shown on it, but I also like a stock look, and I'd rather not ship a set of wheels home.

@luis.seneriz ha! I got rid of it cause it was too loud and I don't need everyone staring at me when I'm driving thru residential neighborhoods!
Thanks. If I win it I’m taking all that out and selling it. Fvd headers, fabspeed catless x pipe, fabspeed exhaust, the sound is unbelievable.
Bid in the amount of $23,250
@luis.seneriz Sublime took out the after market exhaust and replaced it with a new factory exhaust for a 911 4s. So it's back to factory standard for a 4s. The parts were all new except for 2 side mufflers which were still newer compared with the rest of the car which has 65,000 plus miles. I'll upload pictures right now
Bid in the amount of $23,000
Seller please let us know what you find about the exhaust. Yes I agree with you these cars are addictive. I own a 3/98 996 coupe and last night I took the wife for Drinks, food at Chillis. She was asking me why since I could afford it, I didn’t owned a newer one. For me I cut it at the 997.2. I just don’t like the bigger cars with more electronic controls. After a few months of owning mine I been looking for another one.
Bid in the amount of $20,997
@155MPH See my answer above, I can’t afford to on two of these and I just bought a bar expensive one for $174,000.
@luis.seneriz I will take pictures of the underside and I will check in with sublime with what they purchased, I’m a novice at all the stuff so I don’t know. The guys at sublime Are amazing, I really like them, I only hear terrific things about them, so I’m sure they didn’t screw me on this one.
I love this car. It’s the first Porsche that I ever drove let alone owned. The reason I’m selling it so soon as I decided to upgrade and bought a newer one on this very auction website.
See this link:
https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/2021-porsche-992-carrera-4s-cabriolet/
My new one cost $174,000, and as much as I like driving this older one, my girlfriend and future wife said she will kill me if I don’t sell the old one. This car is amazing, I love driving it, many purists tell me in some ways it’s more fun to drive then the newer ones, but what can you do, I’m a one Porsche household and I want to marry my girlfriend. I also am not rich enough quite frankly to own two of these things. You can look up my user name in the bio, it’s truly me and I truly own two porshe’s that I bought within three months of each other which is insane considering I’d never driven one before.
Bid in the amount of $20,000
The receipt from sublime says used complete exhaust system with cats $4500. There are no underside photos , so I can’t tell what exhaust was put in there. It could have been a used aftermarket system from fabspeed, maybe soul performance. Seller would you mind clarifying exactly what the exhaust is. Taking some underneath photos would work. To whoever this is not a car that has the IMs problem. A few incidences of bore scoring have been seen of these engines but not as much as the M97, this is a direct injection car with different cylinders pistons coating.
So, you just bought this car in Oct 2021 on here for $55k. Why are you selling so soon?
if the wheels are still available after the auction I’ll hit you up. But as of now whoever buys the car gets them.
If the buyer does not want those 3 piece wheels i am interested in buying them? are they gemballa?
