Among the most sought-after models of the 997 generation, the 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo was the last version equipped with the legendary twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger engine and features the updated PCM infotainment system of the 997.2 generation. This 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet is finished in Creme White over Cocoa Special Leather and features a 6-speed manual transmission, a Cocoa soft top, a thicker leather steering wheel, Aluminum-Look interior accents, a Sport Shifter, and more. Acquired by the second and current owner in 2019 as a Porsche Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, this Turbo is now available for auction out of New York with less than 24k miles showing on the odometer.

This 997 is finished in Creme White with a Cocoa convertible soft top and 19” 911 Turbo wheels. Equipment includes Turbo-specific bumpers, bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, wide fenders with integrated side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and red Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller notes paint protection film covers the front bumper, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin was ordered in premium Cocoa Special Leather with matching floor mats, an optional thicker steering wheel in Smooth Leather, leather sun visors, Aluminum-Look gear and handbrake levers, and an aluminum footrest. Additional options include heated Comfort Seats with Porsche-crested headrests, LED door pocket lighting, rear footwell lighting, PCM Voice Control, XM Radio, a Bluetooth interface, and a 6-disc CD/DVD changer.

Rated at 480 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque, the 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine features twin Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers, VarioCam Plus variable valve timing, and a dry sump lubrication system. It delivers power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and an electronically controlled center differential. The car features the optional Sport Shifter. Standard features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PCM), and fixed 6 and 4-piston brakes with 350mm cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The seller adds that this vehicle has been serviced annually, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a toolkit, and a spare tire.

The seller would like you to know: “This was a garage car, never in the rain or snow. The car was driven 15 or 20 miles every two or three weeks, weather permitting. The oil was changed every 1000 miles.  Every system works perfectly.”

Come inspect the car for yourself the photos greatly exaggerate the corrosion.
It’s all very superficial . I’ll try tos get new photos posted.

@chizchiz regarding rust, I agree. This car has lived its life in NY and certainly display more undercarriage corrosion than most 997 Turbos. The aluminum is also showing signs of corrosion in addition to the steel components. A dry ice cleaning will likely reveal what needs to be replaced.

I own a 2010 S Cab in Cream White over Truffle Brown full leather. The pics don’t do justice to the colors. They are striking. And this puppy is a manual turbo. Your smile will smile.

To all who are looking for a great Turbo.
    You should know that I have owned 16 911s starting with a 1970 911 t targa.
I currently own a 2015 911s PDK and a macan s that is my daily driver.
Whoever buys this turbo will get a great running car that was always treated properly and is in impeccable condition.
    Thanks for your interest

@chizchiz In response to your question regarding rust on the engine.
I was concerned. So I just took a good look at the bottom and I realized that the photos made the rust look
much worse than it actually is. Any rust is light surface rust consistent with the use of the car. You will also notice that there are no oil leaks whatsoever. This is not an issue.

@chizchiz The hood stripe is applied like any other clear wrap and is easily removed
The coolant lines are in original condition
    The DME WILL BE posted
The dampness comes from my garage floor that accumulates a lot moisture in the changing weather conditions if I had seen that I would have moved ito a dry garage

Beautiful color combo. Can you please post a DME?

  • chizchiz (registered bidder) 6 days, 12 hoursago

    Great spec! Few questions;

-how is the hood stripe applied? Assume removable?
    -have coolant lines been pinned/welded?
-do you have a DME report?
-there’s an abnormal amount of rust under the car for this mileage and not having been driven in the rain/snow under your ownership, can you speak to that at all?

    Ty!
