Among the most sought-after 997 variants, the 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo was the final model to feature the legendary twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger engine. This example is finished in Carrara White over Cocoa Special Leather and features a 6-speed manual transmission, Sport Chrono Package Turbo, painted exterior accents, a Cocoa soft top, red taillights, a thicker three-spoke leather steering wheel, and Adaptive Sport Seats. Performance upgrades include an EVOMS 93 ECU tune, Europipe Stage 1 exhaust, and a Numeric Racing adjustable short shifter. Showing fewer than 46k miles on the odometer, this well-appointed Turbo Cabriolet is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
This 997 was ordered in Carrara White with a Cocoa convertible soft top. Optional details include a painted lower rear apron, painted side skirts, and red taillights. Equipment also includes Turbo-specific bumpers, bi-xenon headlamps, wide fenders with integrated side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, red brake calipers, and 19” 911 Turbo wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2024. The seller notes the fabric top was vandalized and replaced at a Porsche dealer in 2009, and again replaced in 2021, and window tint has been applied. Minor blemishes are noted on the lower front lip and rocker panels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery, along with a CARFAX report noting water damage, which is said to be attributed to a soft top failure in March 2011.
The cabin is outfitted with premium Cocoa Special Leather, a thicker leather three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a leather-wrapped rear center console, and interior-colored floor mats. Additional options include Adaptive Sport Seats, Porsche-crested headrests, and a Sport Chrono stopwatch dial. A Kenwood head unit with a backup camera has been installed along with Focal speakers, a Soundstream Amplifier, and a Rennline cell phone mount. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order, although minor wear is noted on the touchpoints.
Factory-rated at 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque, the twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine drives all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The optional Sport Chrono Package enables an overboost setting for temporary increased peak torque, while standard equipment includes Porsche Stability Management (PSM), Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), an automatic brake differential (ABD). The seller highlights the following upgrades and maintenance items:
Major service performed on 11/11/2020 at 39,397 miles (approx. $20k total):
Additional service history:
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, and a wind deflector.
The seller would like you to know: “Offered for sale is this 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, finished in White over a Chocolate leather interior with a chocolate fabric electric convertible top, powered by an upgraded 3.6-liter twin turbocharged flat-six cylinder engine, running power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission, with under 48,000 miles on the odometer. This is a special example of the vaunted 997 chassis Turbo, with both great power upgrades and factory options. The 997 is well suited to grand touring, but with a distinctly more sporting feel than newer 911 generations – less isolated, more engaging, and a connectivity that encourages a quicker pace. As a 2009 model, this was the last year 911 Turbos were powered by the renowned Metzger motor, favored for its durability and lively character. In Cabrio form, the 997’s structural rigidity handles the Turbo’s power with no chassis flex, impressively stout even over bumps and broken pavement. As familiar as the 911 is, it always manages to feel special as a Grand Touring sports car, with both comfort and exciting ability when called upon. This example builds on the 997 platform with great upgrades as noted above.”

@saltyreb No problem I am happy to answer any questions. The tune does not indicate or make false rev reports. The computer still stores the number of times the motor has spun in a certain rev range and keeps that data regardless of what tune is on the car. The attached report is accurate and shows where the motor has been rev'd to during its life. A Tune that allows for a higher Rev limit will calculate a higher rev range report (if driven into those ranges) by spinning the motor past the factory rev limit and hence the computer storing higher rev ranges. We have experienced no issues whatsoever from the motor or the tune FYI.
Thank you. I'm going to ask out of ignorance only because I am concerned about the DME and that the over rev conditions are so recent. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this EVOMS 93 tune raises the rev limiter point by 500 rpms or so, but it doesn't actually change the data in the DME report, right? Am I interpreting this wrong? Those over revs still exist and the tune doesn't actually make it look like they happened when they didn't, correct? I'm sorry for asking because I never considered a tuned car before...
@Pcolp Thank you very much I agree the combination is wonderful and the top down version of this experience is even better!
@saltyreb Thank you very much! This car is tuned with an EVOMS 93 tune so my thinking is that the REV ranges will read higher as result of that. I have the invoice from when the Tune was installed by Bodymotion in Ocean, NJ on 11/11/2020 @ 39,405 miles so the tune has been on the car for approximately 6k miles.
Nicely specified 997 here.
Can you please comment on the DME report. It looks like ignitions most recently were only 7-12 operating hours ago. I agree that its a small amount of time that it was operating 7,400-7,900 rpm, but it has been recent and redline is 6,750 rpm.
Absolutely awesome color combo. The EVOMS tune paired with the 6 speed... You can not beat it. GLWTA!
@chillimd Thanks for the question, my service records just state "coolant lines replace" I don't have indication as to wether or not the fittings are metal or not. I do not have any information on these lines ever being pinned or welded.
Regarding the coolant lines that were replaced in 2011. Any indication on whether they were replaced with metal fittings and were pinned or welded?
@Tyblat1000 Yes the aftermarket exhaust still has cats with this system.
Absolutely gorgeous. My timing is off yet again!!! I would love this in my garage. LOVE the color combo...and the 6spd manual just makes this car! GLWTA!
Does the aftermarket exhaust have cats?
Auction Ends Today – Thank You All!
As the final hours approach, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who's followed along, asked questions, shared comments, and placed bids on this 2009 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. It’s been a pleasure connecting with fellow enthusiasts, and I’m grateful to PCarMarket for providing a great platform to showcase this special 997.
I’ll remain available throughout the day to respond to any last-minute inquiries. Best of luck to all the bidders — excited to see this incredible Turbo find its next home!
@mxtr55 I can't comment to an fully automated wash as this car is polished and ceramic coated so it has only received hand washes. We have used a low pressure but high gpm power washer to clean the car and it shows no signs of leaks or moisture. The repair work that has been done is perfect.
@MikeyTCollective - have you all tested the top for leaks like perhaps taking it through a high pressure cash wash? I am asking as many times when the top is replaced, it is not properly done. Had a similar problem with my 2015 S and they had to redo everything.

Additional content has been added to the gallery for this listing.
@mxtr55 Hi yes the car has been tuned with EVOMS 93 Octane tune
@BrowneLaw thanks for your interest. I’ll upload that now sorry I missed adding that initially to the gallery. The car is tuned so the rev limit has been raised. The ranges will now show higher than a stock ECU. Thanks!
Love the spec. Can you please post a DME?
Bid in the amount of $35,000
@seller - has the car been tune fo take advantage of the exhaust?
Bid in the amount of $17,500
@tallingmatt Thanks for your interest if you refer to pic #303 you will see the repair work order from Porsche from when the original top came in for discoloration. A replacement fabric top was installed and they swapped over the original glass. The top was then water tested and it leaked, adjustments were made to satisfy correct sealing of the top and Porsche obviously reported the event and it made its way to CARFAX.
My understanding from the previous owner as well as our own inspection when we bought the car is that there is no actual water damage to the car.
The Kenwood headunit does offer Apple CarPlay in both wired and wireless configurations.
@seller
Can you please elaborate on the water damage reported on the carfax? I see mention of a soft top failure in relation to the water damage but no further details. What happened exactly?
Does the car have Apple Carplay?
A bit scabby, but cool spec! The older I get, the more these cabs appeal to me.
