One of the most sought-after models of the 997 generation, the 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo was the last version equipped with the legendary twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter Mezger engine and features the updated PCM infotainment system of the 997.2 generation. This 2009 Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet is finished in Basalt Black Metallic over Brown Natural Leather upholstery and features a 6-speed manual transmission, optional heated and ventilated seats, a thicker three-spoke leather steering wheel, a painted center console, a Porsche-crested storage bin lid, and Sport Chrono Package Turbo. Remaining under the care of its original owner in New York and Florida, this 2009 Turbo is now being offered for auction with approximately 60k miles showing on the odometer.
This 997 is finished in Basalt Black Metallic with a black convertible top and 19” 911 Turbo wheels. Equipment includes Turbo-specific bumpers, bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, wide fenders with integrated side air intakes, a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, and red Porsche-branded brake calipers. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are said to have been mounted about one year ago. A ceramic coating has been applied to the exterior and the rear bumper was replaced following the minor damage reported on CARFAX in 2017. The seller notes the cabriolet top is not working properly as both hydraulic pistons are leaking, and the driver’s side hinge is broken. The rear fog light bulb also needs to be replaced. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with premium Brown Natural Leather upholstery including optional heated and ventilated power seats, a thicker three-spoke steering wheel, and a Porsche-crested storage compartment lid. Other options include a painted rear center console in Basalt Black Metallic, a Sport Chrono dashboard stopwatch, a Bluetooth phone interface, a universal audio interface, and an XM Radio receiver. The car also features automatic climate control, cruise control, and a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system. Some signs of wear are noted on the driver’s seat.
Rated at 480 HP and 460 lb.-ft of torque, the 3.6-liter Mezger flat-six engine features twin Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) turbochargers, VarioCam Plus variable valve timing, and a dry sump lubrication system. It delivers power to all four wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission and an electronically controlled center differential. The car features the optional Sport Chrono Package, enabling a temporary overboost function for increased peak torque. Standard features include Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Stability Management (PCM), and fixed 6 and 4-piston brakes with 350mm cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The seller states the car has been serviced exclusively by authorized Porsche dealers and KMW Motorsports in Florida.
This sale will include two key fobs, a spare key (door only), owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “One owner. I treated my 911 with loving care.”

@Jbooth I agree, I quoted OEM (new) parts and full labor
Just FYI. I own a 2008 Porsche 911....love it and will never sell it....I watched a YouTube video and took out the convertible top pistons sent them off to be rebuilt, bought some fluid to fill the reservoir and reinstalled them. Cost was under $500 and only took a couple of hours or less. Job would be a Easy to medium on DIY scale.

@tbthomas01 There is no rust on any painted surface. Upon last inspection, there was no rust anywhere on the car.
@tbthomas01 The drivers seat has a tear near the left leg (knee area). I am not planning to fix it.
@Holmesjc3 The top goes partially down and then you need to manually help in to reach the stops. Getting the top up requires one person on the operating switch and one person pushing the top closed. Someone will need to get the top fixed!
@tbthomas01 I was provided a quote from KMW Porsche Motorsports to only repair the operating of the top. I was not planning on repairing the scuff on the top. The top is not ripped, but scuffed. There are no leaks in the top and the top is airtight.

Does the roof operate correctly without leaks or are you quoting the price to replace it for aesthetics? Any rust, FL isn’t kind to paint? Can you repair that tear on the drivers seat?

@Fu-Schnickens Love Kevin. That's why the car runs perfectly. Highly recommend. Will look for leaking.
The wing hydraulics look a little leaky. KMW in Pompano provides excellent service, by the way. Kevin is a pro.

@gigawatt The clutch has been adjusted a few times but never replaced. It is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. There is no DME report. What I can tell you is that I'm 66 years old, only owner, car has never been raced, is my 3rd manual 911, and I'm a pilot. If you know pilots, they take care of their machines.
How is the clutch? How many miles are on the clutch? Also, is there a DME report?
@heliousc6 Also the rear bumper from a very minor bump to the bumper.
@heliousc6 Last 2 years: New Brakes, New Tires, Rear Fog Light.
What items have been replaced or serviced over the years?
@Pghpp70 Good question, I was wondering when someone would ask it. I have received a quote from KMW Porsche Motorsports in Pompano Beach Fl. They have been servicing the car for the last few years. They only service Porsche vehicles and are a well know racing organization in Florida. The car is in New York currently and KMW is in Florida so this quote is from their extensive knowledge. For OEM parts, they estimate parts and labor at 4-5K. Full transparency, Kevin (owner) quoted this over the phone and I plan on having them perform the repair if the car is taken to Florida on Sept 28th if I still own the car.
@Erapp100 Thanks for the question. There is zero wind penetration coming in from the roof or windows.
Have you obtained an estimate for repair of the roof so it is fully functional?
