Finished in rare Nordic Gold Metallic over Black interior upholstery, this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera S Cabriolet pairs a 6-speed manual transmission with its naturally aspirated and direct fuel-injected 3.8-liter flat-six. Commanding an original MSRP of over $112k, the car also features 19” SportDesign wheels, Dynamic Cornering Lights, the BOSE High End Sound Package, heated and ventilated Power Comfort Seats, a Smooth Leather steering wheel, and much more. This 997.2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oregon with less than 93k miles showing on the odometer.

This example was ordered in the uncommon shade of Nordic Gold Metallic, a modern take on the early 1970s Metallic Gold. It can be distinguished as a Carrera S model by its red-painted brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets. Optional equipment includes Dynamic Cornering Lights and 19” SportDesign wheels with colored Porsche crests. The car rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires from 2020 to 2021. The front end has been refinished due to minor signs of road wear, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features Black standard leather upholstery with interior-colored floor mats. Optional amenities include front seat heating and ventilation, Power Comfort Seats with Driver Memory, Porsche-crested headrests, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel in Smooth Leather, the BOSE High-End Sound Package, a Universal Audio Interface, a Bluetooth interface, a navigation module for PCM, and Aluminum-Look gear and handbrake levers.

Updated with direct fuel injection for the 2009 model year, this Carrera S is equipped with a 3.8-liter flat-six engine producing up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque.  A 6-speed manual transmission drives the rear wheels, allowing this 997.2 to accelerate from 0-60 MPH in as little as 4.5 seconds with a top speed north of 185 MPH. The seller adds that an oil change was performed in October 2024, a new battery has been installed, and the CARFAX report shows 20 service entries.

This sale will include a clean title.

    Thank you for the clarification

  • gpmotors (seller) 2 monthsago

@Jessannjoh its a small gash in the outer layer of the top which we have since then had touched up and fixed. We made sure no leaks came from the top as well.

  • Jessannjoh (registered bidder) 2 monthsago

Photo 49 bottom right of the top there appears to be a hole. Can you confirm?
Thank you for the quick response

  • gpmotors (seller) 2 monthsago

@Jessannjoh Top is still in really good shape, no rips or tears. On photos these 996/997 tops sometimes apear more worn than they really are.
Motor mounts we are not entirely sure on last replacement. However when I drove the car, there was no excessive shift/play in the motor when shifting nor vibrations.

  • Jessannjoh (registered bidder) 2 monthsago

The Nordic Gold is gorgeous! Do you know if the motor mounts have ever been replaced? It appears that the top will need to be replaced soon.

  • SailorMike 2 monthsago

Man, this is a tough one. LOVE me some Nordic Gold! Always gorgeous. So-o-o-o distinctive. So hard to find. Not so much a 997 guy. Gimme a 993 or a 992. Nothing in between. But the .2, the "S", and the 6sp are compelling. Black interior is a serious negative. But then, with Nordic Gold, it's probably the best choice, really. Mileage is a non-issue, as we all know. Were 18-way seats an option in '09? We've got some days here. Let's see how the bidding goes. I might get in there...

  • alexhay3 2 monthsago

Wow. The car is stunning. The color is not one I generally seek out, but I cannot stop looking at this one! GLWS. I will be watching, and perhaps bidding.
