The 2009 model year marked the introduction of the 997.2 generation with its more powerful direct fuel-injected engines and the option of a new 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission. This 2009 example is a Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over a black interior and is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six. It was factory-optioned with a 7-speed PDK transmission, heated and ventilated power Comfort Seats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Dynamic Cornering Lights, and 19” Turbo wheels. Showing approximately 60k miles on the odometer, this Carrera S Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This 997.2 is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with a black power-operated convertible roof. Equipment includes optional Dynamic Cornering bi-xenon headlamps, fog lights, LED taillights, rain-sensing wipers, heated power mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, and red brake calipers mounted behind optional 19” Turbo wheels. The seller notes the rear clamshell and fenders were refinished due to scratches caused by a faulty convertible top which has since been repaired. Two small imperfections are also noted on the front bumper. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing severe damage in 2010.
The black interior includes optional heated and ventilated power Comfort Seats with driver memory, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, automatic climate control, cruise control, the optional Bose High-End Sound Package, a 6-disc CD changer, and Porsche Communication Management with Bluetooth and navigation.
Producing up to 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque, the 3.8-liter flat-six engine drives the rear wheels through a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission. Equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, the car offers variable settings for the engine, transmission, and PASM suspension response.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a tire inflator, a cabin windstop, and a clean title.

Here are detailed pictures of the rear structure of the car. The pictures from the engine bay are the rear frame rails. It's a little hard to see from the pictures, but they are laser straight. I also took both rear wheels and wheel well liners off. I decreased the area before I took most of the pictures. There is one picture of each side before cleaning.
Thank you. Smooth. As expected.
@TomSesto - sorry, I thought the top video was already up. Here's a link: https://youtu.be/EHO3rA0DVZg?si=Weca5CztSRPN7S68
Did you post video with audio of top working open and shut?
@TomSesto - yes, I can arrange transport. Cost to LA would be around $1100
Bid in the amount of $8,000
Thank you Seller. Much appreciated. I am interested. Assume you can ship from FLA to LA too. Meaning Los Angeles. About $1000 and a week's time if on an exterior trailer?
@TomSesto - There is no structural damage. Please note that Carfax compiles its accident details from the vague information available in accident reports. It is not very precise. Today, I will upload photos of the structural components for clarity.
This car is included in my dealership inventory; therefore, it is titled but is not registered.
Thanks. One (1) owner car from 2009 with severe structural damage from an accident in 2010. Unless I am reading this wrong. So you are a car dealer and the 2nd owner. Car is currently registered to whom?
@TomSesto - I would have no reservations about driving this across the country. It runs great. There are no issues and everything works as it should. Title is clean and clear, and there is no frame damage that I can see. In fact, I don't see any signs of prior repairs to any of the underlying structure.
Happy Thanksgiving. Assume this is on reserve. What else is problematic with the 996? Is it driveable cross-country to LA. Is it presently smogged and licensed in FLA - looks like it is? Assume it was not bought at salvage and that there was no frame damage? Fill us in or the car's problems, both big and small, other than a severe, non-salvage accident over a decade ago and some 20,000 miles back?

@BPAZ50 @BPAZ50- Everything is super straight down there. I'll take some detailed pictures over the weekend.
I see note of heat shield replacement. Pictures of the heat shields and surrounding area would be helpful to confirm presence and condition. Certainly a ppi should be done.
Bid in the amount of $5,997
@cdoggyd - I don't have any info on the 2010 accident. Having sold Porsches for 20 years, my familiarity with these cars is extensive. I conducted a thorough inspection when I bought it. The repair was done well. There are no signs that anything ever happened there. The car is available for a PPI if anyone wants to have one done. Send a message via the "CONTACT SELLER" tab, and we can set it up.
Are there any photos, repair receipts, or other info about the severe damage accident in 2010? That info and a PPI report could really help here.
