In 2009, the updated 997.2-generation Porsche 911 Carrera debuted with revised styling, an updated PCM infotainment system, and a new series of more powerful flat-six engines with direct fuel injection. Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera S Coupe is finished in Atlas Grey Metallic over a Black interior. Options also include 5mm wheel spacers, the Bose High-End Sound Package, a Universal Audio Interface, XM Radio, and more. Upgraded with a Softronic ECU tune and an OEM Sport Shifter, this example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia showing approximately 33k miles on the odometer.
This 997.2 is finished in Atlas Grey Metallic and identified as a Carrera S by its red-painted brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, speed-activated rear spoiler, and 19” Carrera S II wheels with optional 5mm spacers. The roof was refinished due to fading, and Gyeon ceramic coating was applied in February 2025. Imperfections are noted on the left door and right rocker, along with a scuff on the lower right front bumper. The CARFAX report notes an accident in April 2012, which the seller states was incorrectly listed as a front collision. The seller states that the car sustained a minor rear impact, requiring only a replacement bumper cover, and includes the original body shop documentation as evidence. The Black standard leather interior features a matching Alcantara headliner, silver trim pieces, and a three-spoke leather steering wheel. Options include interior-colored floor mats, the Bose High-End Sound Package, XM Radio, and a Universal Audio Interface. Cruise control and automatic climate control are equipped as standard. A GTA wireless CarPlay/Android interface has been added to the PCCM, along with all-weather floor mats and a front trunk cargo liner. The seller notes that Leatherique treatment has been applied to the seats, the carpets are free of stains, and some wear is visible on the soft-touch surfaces of the center console and gear shifter. Additionally, the passenger sun visor cover is broken, and while the cruise control function operates correctly, the corresponding indicator lamp does not illuminate.
The naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-six engine is factory-rated at 385 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque, with power sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Since the seller’s acquisition in December 2024, the clutch and flywheel were replaced due to a slipping clutch, along with the engine mounts, struts and shocks with mounts, ignition coils and spark plugs, front and rear brake pads, rotors, and sensors, as well as the serpentine belt, tensioner, and pulley. All fluids, including coolant, are also said to have been refreshed. Additionally, a Softronic ECU tune and OEM Sport Shifter have been installed. The CARFAX report shows a total of 42 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a car cover, a battery charger, and sales literature. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a Dimsport flash tool, and a sunshade are also included.

@Yoshidoshi123 I forgot to answer your second question. The roof has been painted thus the higher reading.
@Yoshidoshi123 Hi there. 52 and 53 is some residue. I'll see if I can get in there with a plastic knife and rag to get it out and take a pic. When I applied the Gyeon coating I taped off the seals so I never dug into that area when I was prepping the surface. 55 (of the door) is chipping. I believe I provided a closer pic in the gallery and in the walk around. If you'd like a different pic just let me know.
We've had spotty weather for the last couple of days, but today looks like a good day to get a driving video done after traffic dies down (which is pretty much never here). Hope everyone has a good Friday!

Sorry another ignorant question, is it normal for the roof to read paint that much higher than the rest of the car if its original?
In pictures 52,53,55 on the leading edges of the roof front and rear, and door, is that white stuff, leftover wax or detailing material or wear?

@Run_Amok All of those invoices are completed work. If you look in the photo section you'll see the new struts, etc. There is a DME report and readiness monitor status in the photo section. The oil had been changed not long before I purchased the car and therefore (according to Blackstone) there wasn't enough accumulated mileage to provide an accurate report. I changed to the driven for my own peace of mind and to get a good base to read from in the future.

I see you used Driven oil, which is great. By chance have you done used oil analysis?
@Gutwrencher I'll do that. Not being a pro photographer I'm always afraid of glare messing up a photo but I'm sure I could find a good spot. I'd also like to note that if someone would like to arrange an inspection of the car I'm pretty flexible. The nearest Porsche dealer to me is Jim Ellis and they seem to be a nice group of people in the parts and service department.
As the owner of a Atlas Grey Metallic 987.1 I think this listing would benefit from some photos in sunlight to showcase how fantastic of a color it is.

@Run_Amok It was originally a Florida car and although the previous owner garaged it at home she said it was usually parked outside at the office. After I bought it and was detailing the interior, I pulled the rear of the headliner down to look for evidence of repair but it was all original.
Let me also answer the obligatory question of "why are you selling so soon?". I got the Porsche itch sometime around May of '24 and started going down the rabbit hole of Cayman, Cayman S, 996, IMS bearings, bore score, etc. until I decided that a .2 would be best. Mind you I had not driven a 997 but assumed I would love it. So when this popped up I pulled the trigger and while it certainly doesn't disappoint as a sports car, I quickly realized that I wanted something more classic such as a 964 or 993. I live in the heart of Atlanta and this car's legs simply can't be stretched around here without driving out of the city.
@JMarion what was caused the roof's paint to fade? Was this car stored outside?
