Marking the launch year of the updated 997.2 model, this 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe wears a Carrara White finish over a black interior with leather Sport Seats. It was delivered new in Canada and equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as optional 19” Turbo wheels, a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Carbon Package, and more. It was sold to the prior owner from Centre Porsche Québec and has been under the seller’s care for about two years. Showing approximately 85k kilometers or 52k miles, this Carrera S is now being offered for auction out of Québec.

This 997.2 wears nonmetallic Carrara White paint and optional 19” Turbo wheels. Compared to the entry-level model, the Carrera S is distinguished by red-painted brake calipers and quad exhaust outlets.  This example has been fitted with aftermarket matte black exhaust tips and rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires from 2017 with approximately 4,000km of use. The front bumper is preserved under clear paint protection film along with the forward portion of the hood, and the seller notes the car has never been subjected to winter driving conditions. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

Inside, this Carrera S features a pair of optional black leather Sport Seats with a matching three-spoke multifunction steering wheel and carbon fiber trim throughout. Other options include a rear window wiper, self-dimming mirrors, Bluetooth interface for mobile phones, Navigation Module for PCM, and Universal Audio Interface. The seller notes a few small scratches on the center console and describes the cabin to be in very good condition otherwise.

The 997.2 generation debuted new direct fuel-injected engines, with the Carrera S carrying a 3.8-liter flat-six rated at 385 HP and 310 lb.-ft of torque. This example comes equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission thats sends approximitely 345 HP to the rear wheels. The exhaust was upgraded by the original owner with valved NHP mufflers and a center muffler X-pipe bypass. The car is said to have been maintained by the Porsche specialists at Rivard Competition since the current owner’s purchase about two years ago.

This sale will include a clean title.

    @SLOdriver the original leather smell is a great feature ;)
    no smokers, no odors. I wish I could post a sample to this thread! ;)

  • SLOdriver (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @monsieurgustave thanks.
    Anyone smoke in the car or any interior odors?

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @SLOdriver a bill of sale in USD will be produced and transferred with all registration documentation & original window sticker when the sale completes.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @SLOdriver correct, as per Pcarmarket terms & conditions, all bids & sales are in USD.

  • SLOdriver (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    Assuming bids are US dollars; not Canadian. Correct?

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @JohnPan I'm very motivated to sell today :)
    Happy bidding!

    If your reserve is not met, would be happy to have a 1x1 talk but unsure how to arrange.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @czz2218 as per my message yesterday, pictures have been added with door and engine stickers.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @JohnPan it is registered in my holding company's name for tax reasons only.

  • JohnPan 2 years, 3 monthsago

    Why has it mostly been registered as a commercial vehicle?

    US EPA sticker is good news. Nothing I'm guessing that mentions FMVSS, or CMVSS which is the Canadian equivalent. That's the safety standard 1/2 of the equation. Thanks again for the extra effort here; hopefully beneficial to all those watching the auction with interest from south of the border.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @czz2218 morning czz.
    Just added three pictures to PCarmarket's Nexcloud of stickers on the driver's door jamb and under the engine compartment hood, should appear soon hopefully (I'll call them first thing tomorrow).
    In any case, here is the information:
    Conforms to regulation:
    - U.S. EPA: T2B5 LDV OBD: II
    - California: LEV II PC OBD: II
    - No adjustments needed.

  • czz2218 (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    Good morning. Would like to request closeup photos of stickers on the driver's door jamb and under the engine compartment hood. Looking specifically for stickers related to US safety (FMVSS) and US EPA/emissions compliance. Thanks

    @JakeH I understand that various states can issue temporary transit permits. Here's a rich source regarding the process. Perhaps @admin / @pcarmarket can provide additional info as they see hundreds of cars every year.
    https://www.hagerty.com/media/archived/how-to-import-a-car-from-canada-to-the-us/

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @JakeH I'm happy to bring the car to Burlington but as a Canadian, I'm unable to "import" a car to the US. As long as the paperwork is in order, I can easily drive the car to the border and / or to Burlington, no problem - I live about 40 miles from the nearest border crossing (Lacolle / Champlain) which leads you directly to I-87.

  • JakeH (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    Sorry to continue with importing the car questions.
    If the car is transported to Burlington, VT (as you stated below) - can I pick it up there and drive it with temporary tags and insurance?
    Plus - is this something that can simplify the process of getting it to US soil?
    I'm not sure I want to fly into Quebec and then start the process of getting paperwork done and customs approval.
    Prefer this is done and I just take it in Burlington

    @czz2218 good morning czz.
    it is indeed a beautiful Carrera S :)
    I've sold cars to the U.S. before and the paperwork isn't too complicated although I haven't been personally responsable for filing it. You may find more information on the CBP's website (see link below). I can certainly help in providing a few options for transportation - I believe some of them may be able to help in managing the customs clearance.

  • czz2218 (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    Am curious if anyone has experience importing a car that was originally registered in Canada into the U.S. It appears that 2009 911's have a VSP eligibility number from our NHTSA, but any info beyond that appreciated. Beautiful Carrera S BTW.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @996scott beautiful car indeed (thanks!).
    The curb rash is superficial and the tire is only scratched, but relatively intact. There is no tear in the beading along the rim of the tire. I'll provide close-up pictures tomorrow. A thorough inspection of the vehicle, including wheels and tires was conducted at Rivard Competition in May of this year (2022) and no fault was found.
    The clutch is original. I've been very kind to it in the past two years as was the previous owner. As far as I'm aware, the car was never track driven. My understanding is that 997 clutches can be driven 100,000+ miles when driven properly.
    Brake pads were replaced approximately 4000 miles ago.

  • 996scott 2 years, 3 monthsago

    Beautiful car. A few question;
    The front right wheel has some curb rash ans a chunk of the tire's sidewall is missing. Has the wheel been checked to see if it is "true"?
    Is the clutch original?
    Any idea how old the brake pads are? Will they need replacing soon?

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @MGHENDE I can assure you that, if you are the winning bidder, you won't be disappointed. I've owned several Porsches in my life, but never one as clean as this one.
    Happy bidding!

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @ab10 that’s correct, mileage displayed is in kilometres. Correct mileage is currently at 53 202 miles.

  • MGHENDE (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @monsieurgustave I love the car and want to own it......
    Thanks, MHENDE

  • ab10 (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    For what it's worth, the "mileage" listed (85,621) looks to be in Kilometers; if that's the case, then the actual mileage in miles is closer to just ~53k!

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @MGHENDE thanks for your bid. Let me know if you have any questions regarding the car or the process as we near the auction deadline.

    @Altongray. Yes sir. As a matter of fact I bought my turbo here in April. I have to give it to the state of Texas, finally today because it had to be scheduled with the DMV I paid taxes and titled the turbo in my name. I’m also in rennlist. Love these 996s and 997s. I get to know more about these awesome cars every day. No I’m not a collector, I’m a car lover. I drive my cars so frequently the 99 and the 03 turbo that I never put them on a battery tender. Would love to have this white one. If the state of Texas allows me I’ll put the same license plate that I had on my 79 white rx7 13b engine, straight thru exhaust with a Holley 750.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @Altongray I'm happy to see this auction turning into a social gathering for enthusiasts ;)
    Feel free to tag any other would-be buyers!
    Happy bidding!

    @luis.seneriz — are you the same 911 enthusiast as BaT handle “lesr”? Good to see you over here, too.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @luis.seneriz that said, if the winning bidder prefers a more "conventional" option, I'll be happy to put you in touch with local transportation companies. Cars are typically cleared and hauled to Burlington, VT and then shipped to their final destination.

  • luis.seneriz (registered bidder) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    Been over there many times. I saw my first hockey game in Edmonton, you guys are awesome. Yes Quebec has a bunch more French influence but I’m not taking that against you guys.

  • monsieurgustave (seller) 2 years, 3 monthsago

    @luis.seneriz Good morning Luis.
    That would be an epic drive to be sure!
    I'm happy to pick you up at the airport, should it come to that ;)
    You would simply need to make sure that customs clearance documentation and plates are obtained prior to crossing the border... and maybe plan to spend a few days in our wonderful city before returning!
    Happy bidding!

    Is it even possible to fly and drive it. I live in Texas so I would basically be crossing most of North America for this epic drive. My 03 turbo has the NHP exhaust and I love it, is open all the time. Nice car, nice color combo.

    This 2009 911 Carrera S is as beautiful as they come.
    Happy to answer any questions you may have regarding this beauty.
    Hope to find it a new home in the next few weeks.
