The 2009 model year saw the introduction of Porsche's updated 997.2 model which featured a new direct fuel-injected engine, revised styling, new LED lights, and a redesigned Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system. This 2009 example is a Carrera Cabriolet finished in Guards Red over a Sand Beige full leather interior and is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission mated to its 3.6-liter flat-six engine. It was sold new in Illinois and moved to Texas in 2013 where it was maintained at Porsche Dallas up until 2020. Showing under 30k miles on the odometer, this 997.2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Missouri.
Compared to the original 997 model, the updated 997.2 version featured a revised front fascia with larger radiator grilles as well as new LED taillights and headlamps with LED daytime running lights. This example is finished in Guards Red with a black cabriolet roof and factory 18” Carrera IV wheels. Other features include a speed-activated rear spoiler, dual exhaust outlets, headlamp washers, Porsche-branded brake calipers, and optional wheel center caps with colored Porsche crests. The seller describes the paint and trim to be in excellent overall condition with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires showing date codes from 2020. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with premium Sand Beige full leather upholstery and includes optional Power Comfort Seats with heating and driver memory. Other accessories include a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, power windows and mirrors, automatic climate control, cruise control, central locking, “Carrera” script door sills, and a Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system.
A naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 345 HP and 287 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels by a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH occurs in less than 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with 330mm cross-drilled rotors at each corner. The seller indicates an oil service and brake fluid flush were completed in 2023, and an emissions inspection was passed in December 2022.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “MotoExotica.com is a licensed bonded dealer through the state of Missouri. With this injection system you have to keep the piston tops and valves clean. On the other hand this design doesn’t score the cylinders as much as the m96/97. If this was an S
I would be all over it. I don’t like red or tan. Let’s see where this goes.

Don't get me wrong, the port injection system is good too. Heck, its Porsche. It's ALL GOOD.
Direct fuel injection on the 997.2s. Port injection on the 997.1s. Seasoned Porsche technicians prefer the direct injection. It's a much better system.
This looks like a GREAT automobile. Love the low mileage.

Greetings to all,
As we approach the auction end on this low mileage Porsche Cab, we wanted to give a little back history on the car. We recently took the car in on trade from an elderly gentleman who had just purchased the car. It was not until he got it that he realized that he had trouble getting in and out of the car as he once could. So, we traded him our low mileage SAAB Vigen convertible towards this car.
If anyone should need a shipping quote in this final hour, we would be happy to provide one if you simply give us your zip code and city.
Happy Bidding!

Dealers hardly ever note service in the books anymore due to the advent of computer records generated at time of service , not unusual in this case

@dangramm Sorry, no DME report as I answered to the wrong person previously. As to Oil changes, please see the attached CarFax report that shows the car had oil changes almost every year since new. Sorry, not sure why it was not noted in the booklet, but proof is on the carfax report. Car has had less than 3K miles since last oil change, but is probably due, due to time. Thanks for looking
@JumpinJacFlash Thank you for asking. Sorry, no DME report on the car. If youd like to make an appointment at Porsche St. Louis for a PPI, we would be happy to take the car there for you. The seats have three adjustment buttons, please see photos in gallery. Car has NO windsreen, can be purchased on Ebay for approx $250
Regards,
Team MotoeXotica
Is there a DME report available? Also, is there any explanation why it seems the car hadn't had an oil change until almost 3 years and 20K+ miles according to the service record book shown on pic 175?

Beautiful car. The photo gallery is excellent. Someone is going to get a very nice car. Only negative I noticed was the missing windscreen. Being a C4 Cab owner, the windscreen is important. The car came with one. The cost of a new OEM one is about $400. Good luck bidders.
The front seats I assume are power…..are they 4 way, 14, 18? Thank you…
On the wind screen is it missing or did Porsche even offer it as an option then?
@JumpinJacFlash Power top (see video) and no wind screen.
Power top or manual? Does the 911 have a wind screen when the top is down?
