Finished in Guards Red over Sand Beige leather upholstery, this 2009 Porsche 997.2 Carrera was initially delivered at Porsche of Huntington in New York before being relocated to North Carolina. Equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, it also features optional 19” Turbo wheels, Power Comfort Seats with Driver Memory, heated front seats, a painted rear center console, the Bose High-End Sound Package, and more. With just over 7k miles showing on the odometer, this Carrera Coupe is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
This 997.2 is finished in Guards Red and rides on optional 19” wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2014. As a second-generation 997, it presents a revised front bumper with larger air intakes, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, and revised exterior mirrors. Other equipment includes front fog lights, a speed-activated rear spoiler, and an added quad exhaust system. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report noting minor damage in December 2020.
The cabin is upholstered in Sand Beige standard leather and features optional heated Power Comfort Seats with Driver Memory. A painted rear center console was also opted for, the Bose High-End Sound Package, XM Radio, a navigation module for PCM, a universal audio interface with Bluetooth connectivity, and self-dimming mirrors. Custom red floor mats have been fitted, and the original Sand Beige floor mats will accompany the sale.
Producing up to 345 HP and 287 lb.-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six engine sends power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. Acceleration from 0-60 MPH can be achieved in less than 5 seconds while stopping power comes from fixed 4-piston brakes paired with cross-drilled discs at each corner. Standard features include Porsche Stability Management (PSM), an automatic brake differential (ABD, and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), while a Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) system has been installed. The CARFAX report lists 31 service history records.
This sale will include a clean title, two keys, owner’s manuals, and interior-colored floor mats.
The seller would like you to know: “This is an absolutely stunning 997.2 with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission.”

Side note: $88k for a Carrera (non-S) in 2009 was a MASSIVE MSRP. This is a very highly optioned single-digit mileage car. It's worth way more than a driver condition 991.
@edgy4sure Comparing a 991 to a 997.2 is like comparing a Lexus to a Buick. Completely different cars and completely different audiences.
Thanks @PCAR
That was one of the best auctions to watch from the sidelines. One week ago I guessed $65k would take her home. But at $67K, I think both seller and buyer did well. Beautiful 997.2 example. Congratulations to both parties.
Sold for $67,000
@getris74 can't believe it tbh, low msrp, 15 yr old, base carrera - it's more than I paid for my 2013 C2S 2 years ago w/$128K msrp (albeit w/far more miles, lol, which doesn't bother me - I know what miles I can put on these cars)

As for the car, all paint is original and consistent see meter readings - one minor damage was for a scuff on the bumper which was wet sanded and buffed out and the second was for a replacemnt windshield due to a rock.
Extremely silly
We have also attached a DME report it is flawless

Not afraid of a minor accident but would love to see pics of the damage. Seller, do you have these? Thanks
345 HP and drop dead gorgeous Arrest Me Red! I assume this has been hard wired for a radar detector, no?
So what about those minor accidents mentioned in the CARFAX report? Any details?
With the direct injected engine and so few miles, it may have sat undriven for long periods. Have you scoped the cylinders for bore-scoring? Could you at least provide a cold start video focusing on the tailpipes? Would like to see someone holding the tailpipes on start up to convince me that it is genuinely cold.
Sorry to be so fussy about it, but I tend to worry more about barely driven Porsches, particularly direct-injected ones, than higher mileage examples. Why wasn't it driven more? That's what these things are for.
Damn, but it IS beautiful!

Beautiful looking car. Do you have the details on the two minor accidents and the associated repairs?
