    Good morning and welcome to the final hours of this auction.
    I will be around all day to answer any last minute questions anyone has.
    This is a great opportunity to get one of the last analog 911's out there and personally I feel this one checks all the boxes.
    Pure driving fun if you are someone who enjoys being connected to you car.
    From what I have seen in the market for sale in gen 2 997's, many are cabs with PDK.
    Here is a much harder to find coupe with a 6-speed.
    Values on these are continuing to go higher as they become more and more scarce.
    Thanks and have fun bidding.

    @gwgrind Can't say I disagree with you.
    For a 997 gen it's a bit of a stand out especially if your someone who feels not every car needs to be bone stock.
    As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to a 997.2 this is as good as it gets other then a GTS 6-speed and good luck trying to find one of those.
    I actually had the opportunity to snag one at a dealer in IL.
    I'm a sucker for a white car with black wheels and that's what it was.
    White coupe, black center locks, black interior with alcantara and a manual.
    22k miles and they were not moving off the $120K price.
    That's when I had to check myself and come back down to earth.
    Not sure where it ended up but that was my idea of 997.2 heaven.

    Tang. I keep going back to pics off and on. What a good looking piece of art.

  • Metaphysician (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @Tangerine997 Thanks for the help!

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @Metaphysician Didn't forget about you.
    Still raining here and now looking at snow for tomorrow.
    From what I can tell based on other information I found the front is probably 53mm and the rear 50mm.
    This is not confirmed but hope it helps you if the wheel offsets are a factor in bidding.

    @csav1 Appreciate the nice comments.
    Yes, I purchased it early in the year with all the intentions of holding on to it long term knowing just what I had.
    Turns out I acquired three more cars since then that I was interested in and even though my entire collection is garage kept, it's become a bit tight and needed to make a hard decision.
    Can't say I'm happy about it and I'm sure I'll have sellers remorse.
    Wish I had the space to add another garage.

    Absolutely beautiful car with the right upgrades. It looks like the car has been in NJ for a short time after being on the west coast. Curious why your selling after such a short time.

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @Metaphysician Not sure.
    It's on the floor and not up on my lift but it's also raining here.
    I'll need some time to get you that information once it gets dry here.

  • Metaphysician (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    What are the offsets of the Forgelines?

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @Kwoodwo Thanks for the bid.

    @gwgrind Thanks but you would be surprised how many people start an auction with a bid like that.

  • gwgrind (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @Tangerine997 That would be insulting. What chump or chumpette would do that? Lol. Gotta be a joke. Love the add ons. Not ostentatious.

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @Kwoodwo Good question but no.
    Believe it or not there are none as I made it a point to go over each panel prior to the purchase.
    There are only two small nicks near the center front grill that never penatrated through the film. It was obviously done at the right time.

  • Kwoodwo (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Are there any rock chips anywhere that would have occurred prior to the PPF film?

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @gwgrind Thank you for a truly serious opening bid rather than the typical $997.

  • gwgrind 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Bid in the amount of $40,000

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @gwgrind None, sorry.

  • gwgrind (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Hi. Any removed parts retained?

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @zak123 Hello, in the content of the auction it does state that the entire car has PPF and that the front bumper was a Genuine Porsche conversion.
    As for the plenum, dirt/crack, definitely not. It's a mark in the cast aluminum when it was formed.

  • zak123 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Also on the IDP picture, it looks like dirt or possibly a crack towards the left center of the pic. Can you confirm please.

  • zak123 (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Any PPF or front protection? And do you know, was the front end on OEM GT3 part or aftermarket.

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    @AWay Hello and no I don't have any info on the front bumper other then it was done for personal cosmetic reasons. Not sure which owner had it done but I can tell you it was done right and there are no signs of damage anywhere as I have been all over this car.
    Personally I feel it makes the car but that's me.
    As for the trim and console repairs on the carfax, yes that was a concern for me at first but after digging deeper I found that they were due to the wiring needed to install the front camera and the on/off button that's shown in front of the shifter. I did trace the wiring from the front grill back to the dash. The car also had a short shifter installed as well which is not listed in any paperwork.
    Hope this eases your concern's.

  • AWay (registered bidder) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Do you have any further information regarding the replacement of the front bumper, or multiple trim/console repairs mentioned in the service history? Nice 997!

  • Tangerine997 (seller) 2 years, 11 monthsago

    Hello everyone and welcome to the auction for my 997.2 C4S.
    Aside from all of the pictures and some of the mods this car has which I feel makes it stand out from the crowd of other gen 2 cars, it's been kept in a climate controlled garage since I purchased it and never used in bad weather.
    One point of interest that should be noted prior to the bidding is the total world production of these cars were 4464. Of that number, about 20% were 6-speed manual which makes this one even more rare and harder to find.
    I will be available throughout the entire auction to answer any and all questions you may have.
    Enjoy and Happy New Year to all.
