Now available for auction is this 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8 finished in Brilliant Black Pearl over a Dark Slate Grey interior. Based on the third-generation Dodge Challenger, the top-range SRT8 model is equipped with a 6.1L Hemi V8, Brembo brakes, forged Alcoa wheels, a sport suspension, and leather and Alcantara-trimmed interior. This particular example was optioned with a desirable 6-speed manual transmission and the SRT Option Group II, which includes a 13-speaker amplified sound system with a subwoofer. Showing just over 6k miles on the odometer, this two-owner Challenger SRT8 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Texas.
This Challenger SRT8 is finished in Brilliant Black Pearl (PXR) with double carbon-look racing stripes over the top. Distinctive features of the SRT8 include a twin-scoop hood with Hemi badges on either side, a matte black decklid spoiler, a deeper front air dam with functional brake ducts, and a retro-style fuel filler. Automatic Xenon headlights, fog lights, and power-folding heated mirrors come standard. The seller reports this vehicle to have always been garage kept, and with only a few slight scratches present throughout the body. Detailed images are provided in the photo gallery along with paint meter readings and a clean CARFAX report. This Challenger retains its factory 20” forged Alcoa wheels dressed in original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
The interior is trimmed in Dark Slate Grey leather with microfiber door panels and seat inserts. Factory equipment includes a sunroof, heated and power-adjustable bucket seats, keyless ignition, and a touchscreen multimedia system with GPS navigation. The SRT Option Group II also includes a 13-speaker Kicker 322-watt amplified sound system with a 200-watt subwoofer.
Under the hood lies a third-generation 6.1L Hemi V8 featuring a forged crankshaft and an aluminum intake manifold. As much as 425 HP and 420 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through an optional Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission with a double-disc clutch, 3.92 axle ratio, and a limited-slip differential. The SRT8 can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 4.6 seconds while making the quarter-mile in as little as 13.1 seconds. Compared with the standard Challenger, the SRT8 comes equipped with larger Brembo brakes and a sport-tuned suspension as well as a quicker steering ratio. The CARFAX report shows a history of maintenance carried out by Demontrond Dodge of Conroe, Texas, with the last documented service completed in May of 2019 at 4,461 miles.
This sale will include the original owner's manuals and a clean title. A proper V8 muscle car for the modern roads, this low-mileage 6-speed SRT8 is just waiting to put a smile on the face of its next owner.
