Introduced for the 2004 model year, the Cadillac XLR was the brand's flagship model, constructed upon the same General Motors Y platform as the sixth-generation Corvette. Manufactured alongside the C5 Corvette in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the XLR was a luxury roadster featuring a power-retractable hardtop, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension. Powered by a 4.6L Northstar V8 engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transaxle, this 2009 example comes finished with a Crystal Red TIntcoat over Cashmere leather upholstery. The XLR is built on the same platform as the C6 Corvette as well as a hydroformed perimeter frame and composite bodywork.
