Introduced for the 2004 model year, the Cadillac XLR was the brand's flagship model, constructed upon the same General Motors Y platform as the sixth-generation Corvette. Manufactured alongside the C5 Corvette in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the XLR was a luxury roadster featuring a power-retractable hardtop, adaptive cruise control, a head-up display, and Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension. Powered by a 4.6L Northstar V8 engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transaxle, this 2009 example comes finished with a Crystal Red TIntcoat over Cashmere leather upholstery. This meticulously maintained XLR is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with just over 21k miles showing on the odometer and a host of recent service documentation.
The XLR is built on the same platform as the C6 Corvette as well as a hydroformed perimeter frame and composite bodywork. This example is presented with a Crystal Red Tintcoat and features a power-retractable hardtop, adaptive HID headlights, front fog lights, rear parking sensors, and polished quad-outlet exhausts. Other details include an “Egg Crate” front grille and a set of 18″ seven-spoke alloy wheels dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires. The seller states the exterior remains in collector-grade condition, and detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the cabin is appointed with Cashmere leather complemented with polished wood accents. Amenities include adaptive cruise control, a multifunction steering wheel, a head-up display, dual-zone climate control, keyless access with push-button start, heated and ventilated power-adjustable seats, Bose premium audio, a touchscreen head unit with navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, a 6-disc CD changer, and rear parking sensors. Recent servicing comprised the replacement of the glove box lock cylinder, dyeing of the front A-pillar, and repair and dyeing of the driver's seat. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be in proper working order.
Power comes from a 4.6L Northstar V8 engine which produces up to 320 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5L50 5-speed automatic transmission. The XLR features one of General Motors' first applications of Magnetic Ride Control suspension, which uses body sensors to make instant adjustments to suspension damping. Various services carried out by the specialists at K2 Motorcars throughout 2022-2023 exceeding a total cost of $8k, are available for viewing in the gallery and will accompany the sale. This encompassed an oil and filter change, hydraulic brake fluid flush, four-wheel suspension alignment, and replacement of the battery, front and rear shocks, and struts within the trunk. Additionally, the CARFAX report shows 15 service history entries.
This sale will include a clean title.
