Following a 16-year hiatus, the high-performance M6 grand touring car rejoined BMW’s model line in 2005 featuring a naturally aspirated S85 V10 engine producing 500 HP. This 2009 example is one of 5,065 convertible versions (E64) produced in total between 2005 and 2011. It comes finished in Black Sapphire Metallic over a Black full Merino leather interior and equips a 7-speed automated manual SMG III transmission as well as adaptive xenon headlights, soft-close doors, heated and power-adjustable M Sport seats, a head-up display, 19” Style 167M wheels, a BMW Individual sound system, Comfort Access keyless entry, Park Distance Control (PDC), and much more. It was purchased by the seller from a BMWCCA member out of Kansas City in 2022 and has since undergone extensive maintenance including a new clutch position sensor and slave cylinder, airbag control module, spark plugs, and ignition coils along with differential, power steering, and brake fluid changes. This M6 is now being offered for auction out of Florida with approximately 183k miles showing on the odometer.
The M6 can be differentiated from a standard 6-Series by its unique bumpers, side skirts, quad exhaust tips, and M6 badging on the fenders and trunk lid. It uses aluminum for its door panels and bonnet along with thermoplastic for the quarter panels and trunk lid to save weight. This E64 is finished in Black Sapphire Metallic with a matching convertible top, black Shadowline exterior trim, adaptive xenon headlights, and chrome front kidney grilles. It rides on factory 19” Style 167M wheel dressed in Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires dated from 2019. The seller indicates the front bumper was replaced in 2023 and some clear coat is peeling on the driver’s door. Other noted imperfections include some dings, paint chips on the hood, and wear on the soft top. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a CARFAX report showing a previous accident and minor damages.
The cabin is appointed with Black full Merino leather upholstery and carbon fiber trim. Accessories include heated and power-adjustable front M Sport seats with driver memory settings, a heated M Sport multifunction steering wheel, M6-branded door sills and floor mats, an M footrest, M-specific instrumentation, dual-zone automatic climate control, an optional head-up display, BMW Individual sound system, a navigation system, Park Distance Control (PDC), Comfort Access keyless entry, soft-close doors, cruise control, and an engine start/stop button. The seller notes wear on the driver’s seat bolster and center armrest and that the ashtray lid fails to close.
An all-aluminum 5.0-liter S85 V10 engine produces up to 500 HP and 348 lb.-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a 7-speed SMG III automated manual transmission and M-variable limited-slip differential, which allows the M6 Convertible to reach 60 MPH from a standstill in as little as 4.6 seconds, with an electronically governed top speed of 155 MPH. The M6 features an M-Sport tuned suspension with an electronically controlled variable damping system, retuned springs, shocks, and anti-roll bars, as well as larger brakes than a standard 6-Series. The seller notes that the rear muffler has been removed for a louder and more aggressive sound. Service completed under current ownership throughout 2023 includes replacement of the battery, clutch sensor, slave cylinder, clutch pivot pin, release arm, throw-out bearing, smog pump, airbag control module, blower motor/regulator, ignition coils (8), spark plugs (10), and wiper blades along with changes of the power steering, brake, and rear differential fluids. The CARFAX report also shows new front brakes and control arms installed in 2019 followed by a new crankshaft position sensor and serpentine belt in 2020.
This sale will include a car cover, a BMW sunshade, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The car is a blast to drive, especially with the top down, it literally sounds like an F1 car!”

@timothycertain Exactly, buyer fell thru. Texted me two days before he was supposed to pick up the car that he was bailing.
What happened with the cars and bids auction that ended on 1/2/24? Did the buyer not show?
Hello, unfortunately I do not have the stock muffler.
Do you still have the removed rear muffler and if so would it come with the vehicle?
Hey everyone, I’m a little sad to be selling this car. It’s been an absolute blast, but it’s a third car and I can’t justify keeping it. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I hope she finds a good home!
