Produced from 2007 until 2013, the E90/E92/E93-generation BMW M3 was the first BMW to be offered with a dual-clutch automatic transmission and the only production M3 to feature a V8 engine. This 2009 BMW E92 M3 Coupe is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic and equipped with a 7-speed M-DCT transmission paired with its 4.0-liter S65 V8 engine. The car was purchased by the seller over 8 years ago and subsequently modified with an OEM saddle brown leather interior featuring custom Recaro Sportster seats, an M Performance Alcantara steering wheel, matching Alcantara shifter and handbrake boots, Autotecknic shift paddles, Pedal Haus aluminum pedals, E46-style gauge faces, and an Apple CarPlay head unit with an integrated reversing camera. The exterior has been customized with a GTS-style front lip, a Vorsteiner rear diffuser, a painted M Performance trunk spoiler, a gloss black vinyl roof wrap, Lux angel-eye headlights, and Schirmer Spec 18” BBS E88 wheels. Performance has also been enhanced with Ohlins Road and Track coilovers, H&R sway bars, a Brembo GT big brake kit, an Eventuri carbon fiber plenum, an aFe cold air intake, and an ACM-modified exhaust. Fortified with replacement rod bearings, throttle actuators, spark plugs, motor mounts, and cooling system components under current ownership, this M3 is now being offered for auction out of New York with approximately 98k miles showing on the odometer.
This E92 is finished in Interlagos Blue Metallic with a contrasting gloss black vinyl roof wrap, kidney grilles, and side scuttles. The exterior has been modified with a matte black GTS-style front lip, a matte black Vorsteiner rear diffuser, a paint-matched M Performance trunk spoiler, Lux angel-eye headlights, an MLT front skid plate, and larger M Sport exhaust tips. An M Performance windshield banner has been installed along with clear paint protection film on the front bumper. The car rides on Schirmer Spec BBS E88 wheels measuring 18”x10” in front and 18”x11” at the rear with new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires mounted within the last 2k miles. The seller notes a small dent on the hood, a small door ding, and a paint touch-up near the diffuser. The car sustained rear-end collision damage under the seller’s ownership which was completely repaired by Martino Auto Concepts before the exterior received a two-stage paint correction and a lifetime ceramic coating application. Additional images are provided in the gallery along with a full CARFAX report.
The original black interior has been replaced with a full OEM saddle brown leather interior sourced from an E92 335i. A pair of custom heated Recaro Sportster bucket seats were made by AMX Performance and Dynamat sound insulation was installed behind all the door and body panels. Other modifications include silver speaker grille surrounds, carbon fiber door handle inserts, an M Performance Alcantara steering wheel with carbon fiber trim, Autotecknic shift paddles, an M Performance Alcantara shifter and handbrake boot, Pedal Haus aluminum pedals, an IND start/stop button in yellow, E46 style gauge faces, STACK auxiliary gauges, an Apple CarPlay head unit with an integrated backup camera, and a Bavsound Stage 1 speaker upgrade with subwoofers beneath the seats. Factory features include automatic climate control, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and a power-operated glass sunroof.
Featuring double-VANOS variable valve timing and individual throttle bodies, the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter S65 V8 engine was factory-rated at 414 HP and 295 lb.-ft of torque. It drives the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch M-DCT automatic transmission and a Variable M differential lock. The car has been modified with a carbon fiber engine cover, an Eventuri carbon fiber intake plenum, an aFe cold air intake, an ACM-modified exhaust, a GTS DCT transmission tube, Ohlins Road and Track coilovers, H&R sway bars, and a full Brembo GT big brake kit with 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers. Maintenance under current ownership includes replacing the throttle body actuators, rod bearings, spark plugs, motor mounts, a DCT transmission service, a new water pump, thermostat, brake rotors, and oil changes.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a car cover, the original black interior, assorted spare parts, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. I have owned this car for almost 9 years and has been stored in a garage for more than half its life. Since not being my daily driver over 3 years ago, the car has been driven less than 7k miles, having become a project car and passion project. Since having two kids and acquiring my latest dream car in a manual Porsche 981 GT4, I haven’t been able to enjoy the M3 as much. With that said, I would love to see it go to a good home and cherish it as the future classic it is. It is really the perfect blend of a driver’s car and show car with the uniqueness of being the only e92 m3 in Interlagos blue with a custom one-off saddle brown interior from a 335i combined with Recaro sportster seats that retain heat and safety with the airbags. If you haven’t already, feel free to check out a feature on the car by Phil the Autofanatic on his YouTube channel! I will very much miss the sounds and feels of the amazing V8, especially with the carbon fiber plenum roaring in the cabin above 5k rpm to redline.”

Man this is a clean e92.
@Pcarsfan. Major issue is rod bearings. Subframe and VANOS are more E46 M3 issues.

@Pcarsfan thanks for the question, so rod bearings and throttle actuators were completed, with motor mounts being completed at same time as rod bearings. Subframe issues are more in the e46 generation, the car underneath is very clean as it has been garage kept most its life. As for the vanos, only thing I was planning to do would be the covers, as that’s a newly discovered maintenance item over 100k motors when you would probably plan to do the magnesium valve covers replacement as they are known to weep after 100k miles.
Pics of the bearings and transmission service, along with motor mounts completed completed when the car had 84k miles just added
@jbag86
In regards to the big 3. I saw that rod bearings were done. Any maintenance/ issue on vanos or subframe

@zuoeric94 Hi, thanks for the kind words and questions! Yes, the whole black interior would be available to the buyer, including front and rear seats and the door cards. The wiring harnesses underneath the front oem seats were removed to put under the recaro’s so everything would be plug and play. Other major stock items I have are the plenum and suspension. I will have to double check with my mechanic, but I’m pretty sure we did oem brembo pads to pair with the new brembo slotted two piece rotors. I can share that bill showing how just the 4 rotors cost $4k when I did the brakes last year. This car is ready to drive and enjoy for many more miles!

I see a picture of OEM black seats, is the rest of the interior available? Any other stock parts that will come with the car?
What brake pads are being run with the Brembo GTs? Thanks, looks like a very well sorted E92 that’s ready for some driving!

@chujason1219 thanks Jason, appreciate it! Really hope it goes to a good home.
I have had the pleasure of seeing this gem in person. Every detail hasnt been overlooked. Whoever buys this car will be extremely pleased. GLWS!
@zuoeric94 thanks for the question. The wheels are 18x10 and 18x11, et 21.5 all around with 265/35/18 and 295/30/18 Michelin 4S Summer tires. No fender work required or ever done, and no rubbing. The e9x’s have a ton of clearance.
What are the offsets of the BBS wheels? Any fender work needed to fit the wheels?
@BruceDuff hello, thanks for the question. The car has never been on track or at an autocross!
Nice build! Has the car been tracked or auto crossed?
@Sylverlee hello, thanks for the question. I have the full stock black interior, including all seats and the door cards, the stock plenum, and I believe the stock suspension (just have to fish that out of attic as well).
Other than stock seats, any other OEm parts come with it? beautiful interior
Great seller and car, good luck with sale!
An inspection report has been added to the listing page.
This is about as good as an E92 can get.
I’ve been a driver and a passenger of this amazing M3! A lucky buyer will be extremely happy with all the details on this extraordinary build! Best of luck!

@Mrjohnson thank you, appreciate it! AMX Performance does amazing work.
