The original version of Audi’s flagship mid-engine sports car, the R8 Coupe 4.2 FSI Quattro features an aluminum alloy 32-valve V8 delivering 420 HP through a rear-biased Quattro all-wheel-drive system. This 2009 example is finished in Daytona Gray Pearl over black leather upholstery. It comes equipped with a desirable gated 6-speed manual transmission, optional polished 19” wheels, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, an aftermarket exhaust, upgraded KW coilovers, and an R8 V10 rear bumper. Registered in the Carolinas until late 2024, this R8 is now being offered for auction out of Oregon with approximately 24k miles showing on the odometer.
This R8 Coupe is finished in Daytona Gray Pearl with contrasting silver side blades. Equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, rain-sensing wipers, an aluminum fuel filler door, a transparent engine cover, side air intakes, an automatically deploying rear spoiler, dual oval exhaust outlets, R8-branded brake calipers, and optional 19” polished 5-double-spoke wheels. The rear end has been modified with an R8 V10 bumper cover. Detailed images are provided in the gallery, along with a CARFAX report showing minor damage to the rear end in April 2024.
The cabin is appointed with black leather upholstery, including heated 10-way power sport seats and a three-spoke flat-bottom sport steering wheel. Accessories include an Alcantara headliner, a gated shifter assembly with a knurled aluminum gear knob, aluminum pedal covers, R8-branded door sills, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic climate control, electronic cruise control, a navigation system, and an optional Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Rated at 420 HP and 317 lb-ft of torque, the naturally aspirated 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transaxle and a Quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system. The car is equipped with double wishbone front and rear suspension, Servotronic electromechanical power steering, and floating cross-drilled brake discs with 8-piston calipers in front and 4-piston calipers at the rear. An aftermarket exhaust has been installed, and the suspension has been modified with upgraded KW coilovers. The maintenance history shown on CARFAX includes a service in March 2024 with replacements of spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, a brake fluid flush, and an oil and filter change. The seller adds that another oil change was recently completed.
This sale will include owner’s manuals and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Ever wanted to feel like Ironman? Here's your opportunity to come as close as possible. This 2009 Audi R8 manual will put you into the driver seat of one of the best sounding supercars for the money. The 4.2L v8 screams with the aftermarket exhaust fitted to this car and rides like a Cadillac with the KW coilovers. These cars are a bargain, being almost half the price of the V10 bigger brother and arguably more fun! Bid with confidence; this car is extremely sorted and is ready to be enjoyed thoroughly.”

@MC-leather without removing the bumper, I cannot see exactly what exhaust is on it. The car does still have factory headers which means the cats are still in the car.
Bid in the amount of $49,570
@seller did yoy find out the details about the exhaust? Brand? CAT type and size?
@KaladinStormBlessed No protection film on the vehicle currently. However, the front end of the car is extremely nice and has maybe just a few rock chips. AC works perfectly - no issues.
Bid in the amount of $48,000
@palmerd27 Paint condition on the car is extremely nice. A nice walkaround video will be uploaded tomorrow of the car.
The aftermarket coil-overs are a replacement for the stock ones as the stock ones suffer from often failing and leaking. The only fix is to buy new ones and I think current cost on OEM ones are about $10,000
Bid in the amount of $47,500
Is there any paint protection (ceramic coat or PPF)? Does the AC still work or have there been any noted issues with the AC?
Please comment on the paint condition and on any dings, chips and scratches. Show quality or usual wear?
And on the purpose of the coil-overs. Are they to stiffen the suspension or just to replace the factory air suspension system?

@zollerm will have our service manager look into it tomorrow.
@Dekka stock exhaust and suspension are not included
@INOV8 I do not have photos unfortunately. I was told from the previous owner, that the bumper was cracked and therefore went with the v10 bumper to replace it since it has the larger cutouts for the exhaust.
Are the stock exhaust and suspension included in the sale?
Nice R8. Do you have photos of the damage to the rear before it was repaired? Also, is the the reason for the change to the R8 V10 bumper cover because of the accident? Thnaks
